(vyākhyā) dhyātvā śrīpaticaraṇau natvā cācāryapādadmayugam / īśvarasiddhervivṛtiṃ kurve lalitāṃ sukhāvabodhārthām // 1 // trayyantasiddha īśo matastu sadyukticintakairaniśam / bhaktyā dhyānābhyāsāt prakaṭaḥ prajñāṃ tanotu me śubhrām // 2 // atha khalu tatrabhavān paramācāryaḥ śrīmadbhagavadyāmunamunirātmacintāṃ vidhāyātmasiddhau paramātmacintāṃ vidadhadīśvarasiddhāvīśvarasādhakapramāṇavyavasthāpanāyopakramamāṇaḥ pratijānīte tatre ti / samastamaṃ cetanācatanātmakaṃ jagat ekasya - sarveśvarasya vaśe - icchāyāṃ saṅkalpalakṣaṇāyāṃ pravartateprakarṣeṇa vartate - asaṅkīrṇasvarūpasvabhāvavyavasthamāste, pravartate ca sve sve karmaṇi yathāyathamiti kṛtsnasya sarveśvarasaṅkalpādhīnasvarūpasthitipravṛttikatvaṃ sādhayituṃ - pramāṇato vyavasthāpayituṃ, prathamataḥ pūrvapakṣaṃ varṇayāma iti kārikārthaḥ / atra tatreti prakāntaparāmarśakatacchabdanirdeśādetatpūrvatanaḥ kaścaneśvarasiddhagranthabhāgaḥ syāt , yo bahoḥ kālātpūrvamevavilupta ityabhyūhyate 1 vyavasthitamitasvārthaṃ na tāvadiha laukikam / sādhanaṃ tena sarvārthatajjñānāderasiddhitaḥ // 2 // sarvārthadarśanaśaktiśālinamavagamayatā hi deśakālasvabhāvaviprakarṣavyavadhānajuṣaḥ sarva evārthāstaddarśanaṃ śaktiśca gocarayitavyāni / na ca vidyamānendriyasannikarṣayogyakatipayaviṣayanipatavṛtterlaukikapratyakṣasya niravadhirayaṃ mahimā saṃbhāvanābhūmiriti kathamiva tadiha sādhanamiti manyemahi/ 'nāyam' iti / sarvārthasākṣātkakārasarvakāryopajananaśakti sampannaścetanaviśeṣa īśvaraśabditaḥ sādhakābhāvādbādhakabalācca nāṅgīkartuṃ yogya ityarthaḥ / ' atipatite ' ti / atipatitā - apakrāntā sakalasādhakapramāṇasambhāvanā yasyāḥ evambhūtā bhūmirviṣayaḥ, tattvāt - vyapetasakalasādhakapramāṇasambhāvanātmakaviṣayatvādityarthaḥ / atra iti 'atipatitasakalasādhakapramāṇasaṃbhāvanābhūmitvatvā' diti 'atipatitasakala sādhakapramāṇasaṃbhāvanābhūmitvatvā'diti vā pāṭhaḥ sambhāvyate / 'sphuṭe' ti / sphuṭāni - prasiddhāni vividhāni bādhakāni yasyaivambhūtatvāccetyarthaḥ / upakṣiptayorīśvare sādhakābhāvabādhakabhāvayoḥ sādhakābhāvaṃ tāvadādau samarthayitumupakramate 'tathāhi'tyādinā / anyat - anumānādi / laukikasyendriyārthasannikarṣajasya pratyakṣasyeśvarāsādhakatāmupapādayati 'vyavasthite'ti / hetugarbhamidaṃ viśeṣaṇam / laukikapratyakṣasya viṣayā yataḥ parimitā vyavasthitāśca, ata ityarthaḥ / iha - īśvare viṣaye / sādhanaṃsādhakam / pramāṇamiti yāvat / tena - laukikapratyakṣeṇa / asiddhitaḥ -aprakāśataḥ / ayaṃ bhāvaḥ - cākṣuṣasya tāvat pratyakṣasya rūparūpirūpaikārthasamavetasaṅkhyādaya eva viṣayāḥ, na tu rasādaya iti parimitatā / udbhūtānabhibhūtameva rūpaṃ mahattvaikādhikaraṇaṃ grāhyaṃ na tu paramāṇvādigatamiti tatrāpi vyavasthitatā / evaṃ rāsanādiṣvapi bodhyam / evaṃbhūtasya caindriyikapratyakṣasya sarvārthāderaprakāśakatvānneśvare pramāṇatvaṃ sambhavati / sarvārthadarśanakaraṇasāmarthyaviśiṣṭo hyabhimataḥ saḥ / sarvārthasya tadgrahaṇasya tacchakteśca grahaṇamantarā ca na tasya grahaṇaṃ ghaṭate / sarvārtheṣvayogyānāmapi praviṣṭatvācchakteścātīndriyatvāt , jñānasya bahirindriyāgrāhyatvādvāhyārthānāṃ ca kevalena manasāgrahānnendriyeṇa kenāpi sarvārthādergrahaṇam / tadgrahaṇamantarā ca na viśiṣṭeśvaragrahaṇam / 'nāgṛhītaviśeṣaṇe' ti nyāyāt / tadaindriyikalaukikapratyakṣaṃ neśvare pramāṇaṃ bhavitumarhatīti // 2 // nāpi yogipratyakṣamasya sādhakam ; yataḥ - pratyakṣatve tadapyevaṃ vidyamānaikagocaram / bhūtādigocaraṃ naiva pratyakṣaṃ pratibhādivat // 3 // tat khalu yogivijñānamaindriyikaṃ na vā ? aindriyikamapi bahirindriyasambhavamāntarakaraṇajanitaṃ vā ? bahirindriyāṇi tāvatsamadhigatanijaviṣayasannikarṣasahakārīṇi tadgocarajñānajananānīti jagati viditam / ato na rasanādibhirajātātivṛttavyavahitādi sakalaviṣayavedanaprasaṅgaḥ / na cāvidyamānairajātādibhiḥ saṃbhavati sannikarṣaḥ ; tasya dvyāśrayatvādāśrayābhāve tadasambhavāt / ato 'pekṣitor'thasannikarṣaḥ / sahakārivirahe kathamindriyāṇyatītādiviṣayasākṣātkārāya kalperan? / bhavati ca - yat yatsahakāri yatkāryajananam , tattadabhāve na tajjanayati ; yathā kṣitisalilasahakāri aṅkarakāryajananabījaṃ kṣityādyabhāve 'ṅkaram / arthasannikarṣasahakārīṇi bahirindriyāṇi jñānajananānīti tānyapi nātīte 'nāgate vār'the jñānaṃ janayantīti na tadupajanitaṃ pratyakṣaṃ yathoktaviṣayaniyamamatikrāmati / nāpyāntarakaraṇasambhavam , āntaragocara eva sukhādau svāntasvātatryāt / bāhyaviṣayamitiṣu ca manaso niraṅkuśakaraṇatāṅgīkāre hi kṛtaṃ cakṣurādibhiḥ / ataśca na kaścidandho badhiro vā bhavet / bhavati cātra - vimatipadaṃ mano bahirindriyanirapekṣaṃ na bāhyapratyakṣagocare pravartate, tatra tattantravṛttitvāt / yadyatra yattantravṛtti na tattannirapekṣaṃ tatra pravartate, yathā'lokāpekṣapravṛtti cakṣuḥ svagocare 'ndhatamasa iti / na ca siddhauṣadhamatpratapaḥsamādhimahimasamāsāditātiśayānīndriyāṇi kadācidapajahati samādhigataviṣayaniyamamiti sambhavati ; sāṃsiddhikasāmarthyāvirbhāvaikaphalatvātteṣām , sāmarthyasya ca pratiniyamāt / na khalu suprayuktabheṣajaśatavihitasaṃskāramapi śrotraṃ rūparasavibhāgāvagamāya kalpate / bhavati ca - vivādādhyāsitabāhyabhyantarakaraṇapāṭavātiśayo 'nullaṅghitasīmā, aindriyikaprakarṣatvāt , dṛśyamānatatprakarṣavat ityaindriyikaṃ jñānaṃ nātītādi gocarayati / bhāvanāprakarṣaparyantajanmanastu satyapi viśadanirbhāsatve prācyānu bhavagocarādanadhikamadhikaṃ vādhyavasyataḥ smṛtivibhramastrotasoranya tarāvartaparivartinaḥ kutaḥ prāmāṇyakūlapratilambhaḥ ? kutastarāṃ ca pratyakṣatayottambhanam ? / pratyakṣasya vā sataḥ kathamiva viditaviṣayaniyamavyatikramaḥ ? atikrāmato vā kutaḥ pratkṣatvamiti na viśvānubhavaiśvaryaśālini pratyakṣaṃ pramāṇam / (itīśvare pratyakṣapramāṇanirasanam) nāpi pramāṇāntaram / tatsvalvanumānamāgamo vā ? anumānamapi viśeṣatodṛṣṭaṃ sāmānyatodṛṣṭaṃ vā ? tatra sakalapadavīdavīyasi bhagavati na tāvatsvalakṣaṇasākṣātkārapūrvakāvinābhāvāvadhāraṇādhīnodayatvādidamanumānamudatumalam / na hyanavagatacarahutabhujastadavinābhāvitayā dhūmamanusandhātumīśate / naca sarvārthanirmāṇasākṣātkārapaṭīyasi liṅgaṃ sāmānyatodṛṣṭamapi kiñcana labhyate/ (itīśvare 'numānasya prāmāṇyāsambhavopakṣepaḥ) 'vyavasthite'tyādīkārikārthaṃ svayameva vivṛṇoti 'sarvārthe'ti / avagamayatā - gṛhṇatā / avagamayanta iti pūrvamudritapāṭho 'śuddhaḥ / deśaviprakarṣo dūradeśasthatvam / kālaviprakarṣo 'tītatvamanāgatatvaṃ ca / svabhāvaviprakarṣo 'yogyatvamatīndriyatvarūpam / yogyānāmapi kuḍyādivyavahitānāṃ cakṣurādināgrahaṇaṃ dṛṣṭam / sarvārtheṣvevambhūtā api padārthāḥ praviṣṭā iti bhāvaḥ / evakāro 'pyarthe / gocarayitavyāni - viṣayīkaraṇīyāni / 'napuṃsakamanapuṃsakene'ti klībaikaśeṣanirdeśo 'yam / ' na ce ' ti / vidyamānetyanena kālaviprakṛṣṭasya vyavacchedaḥ / indriyasannikarṣayogyetyanena vyavahitasya deśaviprakṛṣṭasya ca / katipayetyanenātīndriyasya / katipayaviṣayaniyatavṛtteḥ - niruktavidhakakatipayapadārthamātragrahaṇānuguṇavyāpāravataḥ / niravadhirmahimā apakarṣāsamānādhikaraṇotkarṣaḥ / sa ca jñānasya sarvārthagocaratvarūpaḥ / tat - laukikapratyakṣam / iha - sarvadarśitvādiviśiṣṭa īśvare / sādhanaṃ - pramāṇam / śiṣṭaṃ spaṣṭam / yogipratyakṣasyāpīśvarāsādhakatvaṃ sādhayati 'pratyakṣatva' iti / pratyakṣatvavyāpakatvādvartamānārthagrāhakatvasya yogijñānamapi pratyakṣaṃ cedvartamānaikagrāhi bhavediti na tasya sarvārthagrāhakatvam / atītādilaviṣayatve vā na tatpratyakṣaṃ bhavet / kintu pratibhādijñānavadupanītabhānaviśeṣarūpameva saṃśayādisahamiti na pramāṇatāmanubhavitumalamīśvara ityarthaḥ//3// nanvekacetanādhīnaṃ vivādādhyāsitaṃ jagat / acetanenārabdhatvādarogasvaśarīravat // 4 // tathā sarvārthanirmāṇasākṣātkaraṇakauśalam / kāryatvādeva jagatastatkarturanumīyatām // 5 // sarvaṃ hi kāryamupādānopakaraṇasampradānaprayojanasaṃvedicetanaracitamavagataṃ ghaṭamaṇikakagṛhādi / kāryaṃ ca vimatipadamavanigirimahārṇavādīti tadapi tathāvidhabuddhimaddhetukamadhyavasīyate / na ca kāryatvamasiddhamiti vācyam , avayavasanniveśādibhirhetubhistatsiddheḥ / iha cāntyāvayavibhyaḥ prabhṛti ādvyaṇukakamakhilamavayavikramanihīyamānanānāvayavavyatiṣaṅgaviśeṣajanitamavagatam ityantata upādānaṃ caturvidhāḥ paramāṇavaḥ prapañcasya / teṣāmādiparispandaśca tadamuguṇādṛṣṭaviśiṣṭatattatkṣetrajñasaṃyogāsamavāyikāraṇakaka iti upakaraṇamapi samastabhetrajñavartīni dharmādharmalakṣaṇānyadṛṣṭāni / prayojanaṃ punastadabhinirvartitavicitrārthakriyākāraścetanopakāraprakārabhedo 'payantaḥ / tadupabhujasta eva kṣetrajñāḥ samprdānam / na cāmī svasamavāyināvapi dharmādharmāvalamavalokayitumiti tadatirekī nikhilabhuvananirmāṇa nipuṇo 'dhikaraṇasiddhāntasamadhigataniratiśayasahajasakalaviṣayasaṃvideśvaryaśakyatyatiśayaḥ puruṣadhaureyakaḥ kimiti na sāmānyatodṛṣṭaliṅgādanumīyate ? (itīśvare sāmānyatodṛṣṭānumānasya pramāṇatāpratipādanam) tadidamaviditānumānavṛttasya svamatiracitataralatarkollasitamiti parihasanti mīmāsaṃkāḥ / tathāhi - kimidamekacetanādhīnatvaṃ nāmābhipretaṃ tanubhūvanādeḥ ? tadāyattatvamiti cet ; ślokārthameva prapañcayati 'ta' dityādinā / 'samadhigate'tyādi bahuvrīhivṛttam / yaiḥ svayogyārthasannikarṣarūpasahakārikāraṇamadhigatam , evaṃbhūtāni cakṣurādīni svaviṣayapratyakṣajñānajanakānīti loke prasiddhamityarthaḥ / 'ata' iti / yator'thasannikarṣasya sahakāritvaṃ prasiddhamanvayavyatirekābhyām , ata ityarthaḥ / 'rasanādibhi'riti / 'nayanādibhi'riti pāṭhaḥ syādvā / ajātātivṛttau - āgāmyatītau / indriyeṇātītānāgatayoragrahaṇe prayojakaṃ sannikarṣābhāvamupapādayati 'na ce' ti / rajatādibhiriti mudritapāṭhastu na susaṅgataḥ / tasya - sannikarṣasya saṃyogalakṣaṇasya, dvyāśrayatvāt - ubhayasamavāyikatvāt , āśrayābhāve - anyatarāśrayavirahe, tadasambhavāt - sannikarṣotpattyayogāt / 'ataḥ' iti sahakāritvādityarthaḥ / indriyeṇātītādigrahaṇāsambhavamupapādayati sahakārīti / kāraṇābhāvātkāryābhāva iti bhāvaḥ / amumarthaṃ prayogārūḍhaṃ prapañcayati bhavati ceti / yadityādyudāharaṇavākyam / yatsahakāri yasya tadyatsahakārīti bahuvrīhivṛttam / yādṛksahakāriviśiṣṭamityarthaḥ / evamagre 'pi bodhyam / jananam - janakam / arthasannikarṣe tyādyupanayaḥ / tānyapīti nigamanam / indriyāṇi nātītādigrāhīṇi, tadasannikṛṣṭatvāditi pratijñāhetū cānusandheyau / evaṃ yogipratyakṣasyabahirindriyajatve na sarvārthagocaratvamityuktam / ataśceśvare tasya sādhanatvāyogaḥ phalitaḥ / atha tasya manomātrajanyatve 'pi na tatpramāṇatvaṃ sarvārthadyagrāhakatvādevetyāha ' nāpyāntare' ti / ' āntaragocara' iti / karmadhārayo 'yam / abāhyaviṣaye sukhādāveva manaso bahirindrayamadvāhīkṛtya pratyakṣajanakatvādityarthaḥ / śeṣaḥ / na pravartatena grahaṇānuguṇapravṛttimat / tattantravṛttitvāt - bāhyārtheṣu bahirindriyasahakāradvārakagrahaṇavyāpṛtimattvāt / tantraṃ - prayojakaṃ, sahakāri vā / tattantraṃ yasyāḥ, evambhūtā vṛttiryasya tattattantravṛtti, tasya bhāvastattvaṃ tasmāditi ca vyutpattiḥ / udāharaṇaṃ ' yadyatre ' ti / yadyatra kārye yatsahakārisamavadhānādhīnajananavyāpāravat tattadasamavadhāne na tatkāryajanakatāvat , yathā'lokasahakārikaṃ jakṣurnālokābhāve svārthaghaṭādicākṣuṣajanakamityarthaḥ / śaṅkate ' na ce ' ti / ājanmasiddherapi prāktanatapaḥ phalatvātpṛthaganuktiratra / siddhauṣadhādisādhyaścendriyāṇāṃ pāṭavātiśayaḥ sūkṣmaviprakṛṣṭādigrahaṇasāmarthyalakṣaṇaḥ / samadhigataviṣayaniyamam - autsargikaṃ vartamānayogyasannikṛṣṭārthamātragrāhakatvarūpaniyamam / apajahati - parityajanti / pariharati ' sāṃsiddhike ' ti / karmapratibaddhasaṅkucitapravṛttisvābhāvikakaraṇaśaktivikāsakatvameva siddhauṣa dhādīnām , natvapūrvaśaktyādhāyakatvamityarthaḥ / nanvastvevam / tāvatā yogicakṣurādinā sarvārthāgrahaṇasya kimāyātam ? atrāha ' śakteśce ' ti / cakṣuṣo hi svābhāvikaṃ sāmarthyaṃ rūparūpyādigrahaṇa eva, na tu yogādināpi rasādigrahaṇe sāmarthyaṃ tasya saṃbhavatītyarthaḥ / tathāca pāṭavātiśayāddhavīyo 'pi sūkṣmatamaṃ rūpaṃ gṛhṇātu nāma yogicakṣuḥ / naitāvatātītādeḥ rasādervā tadgrāhakaṃ bhavediti bhāvaḥ / atra ca nyāyamāha ' bhavatī' ti / anullaṅghitasīmā - anatikrāntasvamaryādaḥ / maryādā ca cakṣuṣo rūpādiṣu caturṣu rūpasyaiva grāhakatvamiti / evaṃ rasanādāvapi anusandheyam / ' dṛśyamāne ' ti / ayogināmapi cākṣuṣatejomāndyaprakarṣābhyāṃ rūpādigrahaṇatāratamyaṃ hi dṛṣṭam / evameva yogicakṣustejaḥprakarṣo 'pi tato 'pyadhikagocaro 'natikrāntamaryāda eva sidhyedityāśayaḥ / evamaindriyikatve yogijñānasya sarvārthādyagrāhakatvamupapādyānaindriyikatve 'pi tasya yathātvamata eveśvare pramāṇatvāsaṃbhavaṃ copapādayati ' bhāvane ' ti / bhāvanāprakarṣaprayante janma yasyeti bahuvrīhiḥ / viśadanirbhāsatve - viśadaprakāśakatve - laukikaviṣayatānirūpakatve / prācyānubhavagocarāt - pūrvānubhavaviṣayāt / adhyavasyataḥ - prakāśayataḥ / pūrvānubhūtādanadhikaviṣayatve smṛtitvam / adhikaviṣayatve tu bhramatvam , kāminībhāvayituḥ kāminaḥ purovartitvenāsatyāḥ kāminyāḥ pratimānasyevetyarthaḥ / samuditāśayastvayam - anubhūtasya paunaḥpunyena smṛtyabhyāsena saṃskārapracayaḥ saṃpadyate / tatparyante smṛtyabhyāse sati jāyamānā smṛtirevapratyakṣavadviśadaviṣayāvabhāsā bhavatīti pratyakṣasamānākāraṃ smaraṇameva cedyogipratyakṣaṃ vivakṣitam , tarhi tasya pūrvānubhūtārthamātragocaratvānneśvaragocaratvam / sarvārthagrahaṇādisamarthasyeśvarasya pramāṇābhāvena prāgananubhūtatvāt / smṛtitve ca yathārthānubhavatvalakṣaṇamajñātārthajñāpakatvalakṣaṇaṃ vā prāmāṇyaṃ tannārhatyeva / ata eva pramāṇaviśeṣapratyakṣarūpatvaṃ tasya na tarāṃ ghaṭata iti / ' pratyakṣatve ' iti ślokārthopasaṃhāraḥ ' pratyakṣasya ve ' ti / viditatvaṃ - prasiddhatvam / ' na viśve ' ti / sarvasākṣātkartari sarvakartari sarvaniyantari ceśvare 'smadādīnāṃ yogināṃ vendriyarūpaṃ pratyakṣaṃ na pramāṇaṃ - na pramitijanakamityarthaḥ / nanu kevalasya bahirasvātantrye 'pi yogajaprakṛṣṭādṛṣṭasahakṛtasya tasya bāhyeṣvatīndriyeṣu traikālikeṣu cārtheṣu pravṛttiḥ saṃbhavennāma / tat prakṛṣṭādṛṣṭasahakṛtamanojanyameva pratyakṣaṃ yogināṃ syādīśvare pramāṇam / pratyakṣasya vartamānamātragrāhitvamiti vyavasthā cāyogipratyakṣaikagocareti cet ; atra brūmaḥ - prakṛṣṭādṛṣṭaviśeṣasahakārādapi prāmāṇikasarvārthagrahaṇameva bhavennāma/ sarveśvare caikasmin na pramāṇaṃ kiñcit / ato na tatsiddhiryogajapratyakṣeṇāpīti hārdamākṣeptuḥ / etena paramātmadhyānajanitameva paramātmaviṣayamānasapratyatraṃ pramāṇaṃ tasminnityapi nirastam / paramātmano dhyānaṃ hi tajjñānamantarā na saṃbhavati / taccāntato gatvā śāstrajanitameveti vaktavyam / śāstrasya ca kāryaparasya na tatra tātparyam / śrutipauruṣeyatvanaye punaranyonyasaṃśrayaḥ spaṣṭa eva īśvarasiddhau taduktatvācchāstraprāmāṇyasiddhiḥ, tatsiddhau ceśvarasiddhiriti / anumānaṃ ca na pramāṇaṃ tatretyanantarameva vakṣyate / tathā ceśvarapramiterevābhāvāttanmūlataddhyānādyasiddhireveti / evaṃ laukikayaugikabhedena dvividhasya pratyakṣasyeśvare na pramāṇatvamityuktam / kimasya tasminnāyattaṃ kiṃ nu janmāthavā sthitiḥ / pravṛttirvā'dyayostāvat sādhyahīnaṃ nidarśanam // 6 // na khalu śarīramekacetanādhīnotpattisthiti / ye hi yaddehādhīnasukhaduḥkhopabhogabhāginaḥ, bhavati hi taducitādṛṣṭaśālināṃ sarveṣāmeva teṣāṃ taddehina iva tadutpattisthitinimittatvam / api ca śarīrāvayavinaḥ svāvayavasamavāyalakṣaṇā sthitiravayavavyatiṣaṅgaviśeṣādṛte na cetayitāraṃ paramapekṣate / yā punastadapekṣiṇī prāṇanalakṣaṇā sthitiḥ, na sā pakṣīkṛte kṣityādau sambhavatīti sthitimapi naikarūpāṃ pakṣasapakṣānuyāyinīmudīkṣāmahe / ekacetanādhīnapravṛttitve tu prabalabahujanasarabhasaprayatnapracālyairupalataru rathādibhirvyabhicāraḥ / ārabdhatvādeva caitatsādhyasiddhāvadhikamidamupādāna viśeṣavacanam/ anenānumānenābhimateśvarākāraviśeṣasiddhiprakāraṃ viśadayati ' sarvam ' iti / upādānaṃ-samavāyikāraṇam / upakaraṇaṃ-sahakārarikāraṇam / saṃpradānaṃ-kāryaṃ yadbhogārthaṃ sṛṣṭaṃ, sa upabhoktā / prayojanaṃ-kriyamāṇavastusādhyaṃ phalam / upādānādīnāṃ saṃvedī-sākṣātkartā yaścetanaḥ tena nimittahetunā kriyamāṇaṃ dṛṣṭaṃ ghaṭādikāryamityarthaḥ / maṇiko-mahāghaṭaḥ / etadvākyena kāryatvasya sakartṛkatvavyāpyatvaṃ pratipāditaṃ bhavati / upādānādigocarāparokṣajñāna cikīrṣākṛtimattvaṃ kartṛtvamatra vivakṣitam / upanayanimane ' kāryaṃ ce 'ti / vimatipadaṃ sakartṛkatvākartṛkatvavipratipattiviṣayībhūtam / anena sandigdhasādhyakatvalakṣaṇaṃ pakṣatvamavanyāderupapannamiti sūcitam / svarūpāsiddhimāśaṅkya pariharati ' na ce ' ti / pakṣe mahyādāviti śeṣaḥ / ākṛtimattvādibhiḥ kṣityādeḥ kāryatvasiddhiriti bhāvaḥ / pakṣadharmatābalātkartṛviśeṣasiddhiriti pratipādanārthaṃ kāryasāmānyopādānādi nirdhārayati ' ihe ' ti / avayavatvāsamānādhikaraṇāvayavitvāmantyāvayavitvam / antyāvayavita ārabhyādyāvayavidvyaṇukamabhivyāpya sarvamavayavikāryadravyajāta mavayavasaṃyogaviśeṣajanitaṃ prasiddhamityarthaḥ / uttarottarāpekṣayā pūrvapūrvakārye 'vayavālpatvaṃ 'kramanihīyamāne'-tyucyate / avayavasaṃśleṣaviśeṣajanitatvaṃ ca kvacitpratyakṣādanumānāccakvacit siddhamiti bhāvaḥ / antyepādanatvam avayavitvāsamānādhikaraṇāvayavatvam / caturvidhāḥ paramāṇavaḥ pṛthivījalajvalanapavanaparamāṇavaḥ / prapañcasya-kāryadravyaprapañcasya / ' teṣā ' miti / paramāṇūnāmādiparispandaḥsargādyakālīnārambhakasaṃyogajanakakriyālakṣaṇaḥ adṛṣṭa vadātmasaṃyogarūpāsamavāyihetuja ityadṛṣṭānāmupakaraṇatvamityarthaḥ / ādyaparispandasyādṛṣṭahetukatvaṃ ca kaṇādamuninā sūtritam ' agrerūrdhvajvalanaṃ vāyostiryakpavanamaṇūnāṃ manasaścādyaṃ karmādṛṣṭakāritam ' iti / ' prayojana 'miti / sṛṣṭiprayojanamanavadhirjīvopakāra prakārabhedaḥ sṛjyapadārthanirvāhyanānāvidhārthakriyārūpaḥ nānāvidhabhoganiṣpādana lakṣaṇo 'saṅkhyāta ityarthaḥ/ sampradānaṃ ca sākṣātparamparayā vā kāryapadārthaniṣpāditaṃ bhogamanubhavanto jīvarāśaya ityāha ' tadupabhuja ' iti / evaṃ sarvavidhaparamāṇusarvajīvādṛṣṭasarvajīvopakāraprakārarūpanikhila jagadupādānopakaraṇa- prayojanasākṣātkartṛtvādi jīveṣi na sa bhavatīti kaimutikanyāyena sādhayituṃ svīyādṛṣṭāsākṣātkartṛtvamapi na teṣvityāha ' na cāmī ' iti / tadatirekī-jīvavilakṣaṇaḥ / ' yatsiddhāvanyaprakaraṇasiddhiḥ so 'dhikaraṇasiddhāntaḥ 'iti nyāyasūtram / yatsiddhimantarā prakṛtor'thoṃ na sidhyati, tathābhūtaḥ prakṛtārthasiddhernāntarīyakatayā sidhyannartho 'dhikaraṇasiddhāntasiddha ityarthaḥ / tathācanikhilārthasākṣātkāritvādyantarā kartṛḥ kṣityādeḥ sakartṛkatvarūpaḥ prakṛtārtho na sidhyatīti viśiṣṭakartṛlābho 'dhikaraṇasiddhāntanayeneti phalitam / tārkikābhimatamīśvarānumānaprakāramimaṃ nirasyanti mīmāṃsakāḥ ' tadida ' mityādinā / dṛṣṭājātīyasyaiva sādhakamanumānaṃ, na tvatīndriyārthasyetyanumānavṛttamajānataḥ svabuddhyatprekṣitāvyavasthitatarkābhāsa mūlamidaṃvilakṣaṇapuruṣasādhanamityarthaḥ / tarkasvabhāvānabhijñasya tārkikatvavyapadeśaḥsuśobhana iti copahāso garbhitaḥ / paroktasya tarkasyābhāsatvamupapādayitumupakramate ' tathāhī ' ti / ' kimidam ' iti / tanumuvanādeḥ-piṇḍabrahmāṇḍādeḥ / piṇḍo dehaḥ / tathāca purāṇaratne ' piṇḍaḥ pṛthagyataḥ puṃsaḥ śiraḥpāṇyādilakṣaṇaḥ 'iti / pakṣasapakṣayoriti vār'thaḥ / ekacetanāyattatvaṃ jagato vikalpya dūṣayati ' kimasye ' ti kārikayā / āyattaṃ-kāryatvena saṃbaddham / ekacetanahetukatvaṃ kiṃ bhuvanajanmanaḥ sādhyate, uta bhuvanasthiteḥ, āhosvidbhuvanapravṛtteḥ ? ādyayoḥ kalpayoranvayadṛṣṭānto nīrogadehaḥ sādhyavikala ityarthaḥ / tathāca vyāptyasiddhirvyabhicāraśceti bhāvaḥ // 6 // taccharīrādhīnopabhogopakārabhājāmanyeṣāṃ ca tatrādṛṣṭadvārā hetutvaṃ taddehina ivāstīti ekacetanāyattotpattisthitikatvaṃ dṛṣṭānte nāstītyarthaḥ / dvitīye kalpe sthitiśabdārthavikalpanamukhena dūṣaṇāntaramapyāha ' api ce ' ti/ śarīrāvayavuna iti karmadhārayavṛttam / ārambhakasaṃyoge 'vayavasamavete dṛḍhe sati svāvayavasamavetatvalakṣaṇāvayavinaḥ sthitiḥ śarīrasya nirābādhā ghaṭāderiva prasidhyatyeveti naivaṃvidhasthiteścetanāpekṣatā / prāṇavṛttyadhīnāśaithilyāvasthānalakṣaṇā śarīradhṛtiḥ paraṃ jīvanayoniyatnahetukatvādbhavennāma cetanāpekṣā dṛṣṭānte vyāpakatvena sādhanasya gṛhītaivaṃvidhā sthitistu na pakṣe mahyādau / tathāca kāryatvāvacchedena evaṃvidhaikacetanādhīnāsthitikatvasādhaneṃ'śato bādha iti bhāvaḥ / tṛtīye kalpe ekacetanāyattapravṛttikatve 'naikānyamāha ' eke ' ti / sarabhasaprayatnaḥ-tīvraprayatnaḥ / bahujanaikasādhyacalanapravṛttimati mahopalādau sādhyaśūnye sattvādanekāntatā hetorityarthaḥ / hetorvyarthaviśeṣaṇatvaṃ cāha ' ārabdhatvādeve ' ti / janyatvasyaiva hetutve vyabhicārāprasakteracetanopādānanirūpitatvasya tadviśeṣaṇasya vaiyarthyam / tathā ca vyāpyatvāsiddhiḥ / adhikaṃ nāma nigrahasthānaṃ ca prayuñjata iti bhāvaḥ / yadyapi samavetadravyatvarūpe phalite hetau na vaiyarthya prasaktiḥ / athāpi yathāśrutahetvabhiprāyeṇa vyarthaviśeṣaṇatvābidhanam / phalite 'pi hetāvanaikānyaṃ tu durvārameveti dik / nanvanaikāntyaprasaṅgādekatvaviśeṣaṇaṃ tyajyate / cetanādhīnatvameva tu sādhyata iti cettatrāha ' cetana ' ti / yadyapyuktahānyādyevaṃ vadataḥ prasajyata eva / athāpi tasyaktidoṣatvattadupekṣyārthadūṣaṇamevātrocyate / ' hī ' ti prasiddhau / asmākamapi kāryasāmānyasya jīvādṛṣṭahetukatvena cetanādhīnatvasya sampratipatteḥ cetanādhīnatvamātrasādhane jīvaiḥ sdidhasādhanam / bhavataścārthāntaramiti bhāvaḥ // 7// upādānaṃ pṛthivyādi yāgadānādi sādhanam / sākṣātkartuṃ kṣamante yatsarva eva ca cetanāḥ // 8 // adyavadeva viśvambharādayaḥ karmaprāptāgantukopacayāpacayaikadeśaśālino na yugapadeva niravaśeṣavilayajananabhāgina ityantimaparamāṇusākṣātkāro na kartṛbhāvopayogī / nanvadṛṣṭadvārā cenaprayojyatvamātraṃ na sādhyate/ kiṃ tu cetanakartṛkatvam / kartṛtvaṃ ca kṣityādau jīvānāṃ nasaṃbhavatīti cet ; evaṃ sati dvitīyānumāna eva viśrāntiḥ / tatrāpi siddhasādhanamevetyāha' yukta 'miti / lāghavapakṣapātitvādanumānasya sakartṛkatvānumānasyāpi saṃpratipannajīva mātraviśrāntiriti bhāvaḥ / nanu jīvasya jagatkartṛtvamanupannam / anupapanne cārthe lāghavamakiñcitkaram / tadīśvarasiddhirapratyūheti śaṅkāṃ pratikṣipati ' na copādāne 'ti / jīvasyāpyupādānādisākṣātkāra upapanna evetyāha ' upadāna 'miti / ayamāśayaḥ-tattadvaidikakarmaṇo 'tiśayitatattatphalasādhanatvamavagatya vedādvaidikānāṃ vacanācca tadanugrahata evānuṣṭhāya tattatkarma yathāvidhi samadhigatasāmarthyaviśeṣā jīvaviśeṣā eva pṛthivyādibhūtacatuṣṭayaṃ bhautikakāryavargopādānabhūtaṃ sahakārivargaṃ ca sākṣātkṛtyopādāya ca jagatsṛjeyuriti na kartrantarakalpanāvakāśa iti / yat yasmāt, kṣamante, atona tatpratikṣepa ityanvayaḥ pūrveṇa // 8 // karmaṇaḥ śaktirūpaṃ yadapūrvādipadāspadam / mā bhūtpratyakṣatā tasya śaktimaddhyakṣagocaraḥ // 9 // na khalu kulālādayaḥ kumbhādikāryamārabhamāṇāstadupādānopakaraṇa- bhūtamṛddaṇḍacakrādikāryotpādanaśaktiṃ sākṣātkṛtya tattadārabhante / yadi paraṃ śaktimaviduṣāmabhilaṣitasādhane tadupādānādivyavahāro 'nupapannaḥ, iha tu- nanu pralaye pṛthvyāderādyadvyaṇukaṃ vināśājjīvānāṃ ca tadā karaṇakale varavidhuratvena jñānopādānasāmarthyavirahānna teṣāṃ sargādyajagatsṛṣṭikartṛtvaṃ saṃbhavatatyatrāha ' adyava ' diti/ na pṛthivyādīnāṃ sarvāśena pralayotpādau / kintu vartamāna iva kāle bhāgabhedenaiva tau kramaśaḥ / āgantukaikadeśavṛddhihrāsalakṣaṇau / tathāca jīveṣveva keṣāñcitsādhanaviśeṣasamāsāditajñānaśaktyatiśayānāṃ hīnāṃśaprapūraṇātmakaṃ sarjanaṃ pṛthivyādyupādānasākṣātkārāditaḥ saṃbhavedeva viśvāmitrādīnāmivetyarthaḥ / niravaśeṣapralaye na punaḥsargaḥ / sāvaśeṣalaye tu jīvaviśeṣāṇāṃ tattadbhāgabhedakartṛtvaṃ saṃbhaviṣyatīti neśvarakalpanāvasara iti bhāvaḥ/ nanvadṛṣṭamapyasti sahakāri puṇyapāparūpam / tatsākṣātākaramanrā ca na tadanuguṇakāryasarjanaṃ saṃbhavet / tatsākṣātkāro na ca jīvānāṃ ghaṭata ityatrāha ' karmaṇaḥ ' iti / anyakartṛkayāgādidharmāṇāṃ cauryādyadharmāṇāṃ ca sākṣātkāre kṣamā eva sākṣibhūtājīvaviśeṣāḥ / śāsrataśca tattatkarmaṇaḥ phalaviśeṣajanana sāmarthyamadhigatavantaste / tathāca tattadanuguṇaṃ sṛjeyurnāma/ śaktimataḥ sākṣātkāraḥ śakterjñānamātraṃ ca kartṛtvopayogi, natu śakterapi sākṣātkaraṇam / svasya punaḥ / karaṇasāmarthyaṃ cāpekṣitam / tathāca puṇyapāpaśabditakarmaśaktyasākṣātkāre 'pi noparodhaḥ kartabhāvasyeti bhāvaḥ // 9 // āgamādavagamyante vicitrāḥ karmaśaktayaḥ / tena karmabhirātmānāḥ svaṃ nirmimatāṃ pṛthak // 10 // api ca tadeva cetanakartṛkaṃ jagati paridṛśyate, yadeva śakyakriyaṃ śakyajñānopādānādi ca / na ca tathā mahīmahīdharamahārṇavādīti kathamiva tattatkāryatvam ? kathantarāṃ ca tadupādānopakaraṇādeḥ sākṣātkāragocaratā ? yādṛśaṃ hi kāryamupādānādyabhijñapūrvakamavagataṃ ghaṭamaṇikādi, tādṛśameva hi tathāvidhabuddhimaddhetukatvānumānāya prabhavati / api cānīśvareṇa parimitaśaktijñānena vigrahavatānavāptakāmena kṛtamavagataṃ ghaṭādikāryamiti tathāvidhaṃ boddhāramupasthāpayan heturabhimatapuruṣa sārvajñyasarvaiśvaryādiviparyayasādhānādviruddhaḥ syāt / na caivaṃ sati sarvānumānavyavahārocchedaprasaṅga śaṅkitavyaḥ / pramāṇāntaragocare hi liṅgini liṅgabalādāpatato viparītaviśeṣāṃstatpramāṇameva pratiruṇāddhi / iha punaratipatitasakalamānāntarakarmabhāve sarvanirmāṇanipuṇe siṣādhayiṣite yāvanto 'nvayavyatirekāvadhāritāvinābhāvabhājodharmāstānapyaviśeṣeṇopasthāpa yati / upapādayatyetadeva nidarśanataḥ ' ne ' ti / tuśabdārthe 'yaṃ prayukto 'yaṃ / yadvā ihetyataḥ pūrvaṃ iti, satyam, iti yojyam / ' āgamā ' diti/ tena-karmaniṣṭhaśaktīnāṃ śāsrato 'vagamena, karmabhiḥ-nānājīvīyakarmahetutaḥ, karmānuguṇamiti yāvat, ātmānaḥ-śaktimanto jīvāḥ, pṛthak-vibhāgena, tattadekeśabhedeneti yāvat, sarvaṃ jagatkāryadravyajātam, nirmimatām-sṛjantu ityarthaḥ // 10 // api ca-svārthakāruṇyabhāvena vyāptāḥ prekṣāvataḥ kriyāḥ / īśvarasyobhayābhāvājjagsargo na yujyate // 11 // avāptakāmatvānna tāvadātmārthe sṛjati ; pralayasamaye pralīnasakalakaraṇakalevarādibhogopakaraṇatayā ca cetanānāṃ duḥkhābhāvāt duḥkhidarśanajanitakṛpāprayuktirapi nāstīti vyāpakabhūtasvārthakāruṇya nivṛttervyāpyabhūtayā prekṣāvatpravṛttyāpi nivartitavyam/ atha kāryatvahetau doṣānāha ' apice ' tyādinā / tatrādau svarūpāsiddhirupādhimukhena vyāpyatvāsiddhiśca kīrtyete / śakyā kriyā-karaṇaṃ yasya tacchakyakrayam / kartṛṃ śakyamiti yāvat / śakyaṃ jñānaṃ yasya tacchakyajñānam, śakyajñānāmupādānādi yasya kāryasya tacchakyajñānopādānādi / evaṃbhūtameva kāryaṃ sakartṛkaṃ bhavitumarhatītyarthaḥ / cetanakartṛkatvarahitaṃ kāryaṃ nāstīti cānusandhem / ' na ce ' ti / tattatkāryatvam-tasya tasya kāryatvaṃ kṣityāderaśakyakriyasyetyarthaḥ / anena svarūpāsiddhirbhāgāsiddhirvāktā / ' kathantarā ' miti / upādānopakaraṇaparamāṇvadṛṣṭādeḥsākṣātkartumaśakyatayopādānādisākṣātkāracikīrṣākṛtimatpuruṣapūrvakatvaṃ kathantarāṃ ghaṭate kṣitidvyaṇukāderityarthaḥ / kṣityādeḥ kāryatve cedāgrahaḥ , iṣyatām / sakartṛkatvaṃ tu upapannameveti(?) bhāvaḥ / sopādhikatvamāha ' yādṛśam ' iti / yādṛśaṃ-kṛtisādhyatvārhaṃ jñeyatvārhepādānādikaṃ ca vyāptirgṛhītā / viśiṣṭasādhyena gṛhītavyāptikaṃ ca śarīrādi viśiṣṭameva kartāraṃ sādhayet pakṣe /te cākārā abhimataviparītā iti viruddhavyāpyatvāddhetorviruddhatvamiti bhāvaḥ / nanvevaṃ sapakṣe mahānasādau kārīṣatvādimatā vahninā gṛhītavyāptinā dhūmena pakṣe parvate kārīṣādivahnereva sādhanaṃ syāt / sa ca tatra nāstīti aprāmāṇyaprasaṅgo 'numānamātrasyetyatrāha ' nacaivam ' iti / ' pramāṇāntare 'ti / sādhyasya pramāṇāntaragrahyatve liṅgabalātprasaktānāṃ viruddhaviśeṣāṇāṃ pratyakṣādināpavadanāt vahnimātre prāmāṇyamanumānasyavyavasthāpyaṃ bhavennāma / pramāṇāntarāgocare tu sādhye liṅgabalaprasaktānāṃ viparītaviśeṣāṇāmapavādakābhāvāttathaivāvasthānaṃ syādityāśayaḥ / anvayavyatirekasahacāragrahādyadyaddharmāvacchinnakartṛpūrvatvena kāryatvasya vyāptirgṛhītā, te kulālādyanugatā anīśvatvasaṃsāritvādayo bhavanti vyāpakatāvacchedakatvena gṛhītāḥ / vyāpakatāvacchedakadharmaprakāreṇa sādhyānumāpakatvasvābhāvyācca liṅgasyānīśvarasaṃsārikartṛmātraparyavasāyitvaṃ kāryatvahetukasakartṛkatvānumānasyeti ' yāvanta ' ityādinā vivakṣitam / īśvarasya jatkartṛtvāsaṃbhavādapi niruktānumānamanīśvara eva viśrāmyatītyabhiprayannāha ' apace ' ti / svārthaḥ-svaprayojanam / kāruṇyam-paraprayojanasampādanopayogiguṇaviśeṣaḥ parārthaparyayavannaḥ / svārthecchāyāḥ kāruṇyasya vā sattayā vyāpyaṃ buddimatpravṛttisāmānyamiti pūrvārdhasyārthaḥ / siṣādhayiṣitasyeśvarasya tvavāptakāmatvānna svārthaḥ sādhanīyaḥ kaścana sambhavati sṛṣṭihetuḥ,na vā kāruṇyam, paraduḥkhadarśanādhīnoddhodhatvāttasya pralaye ca pareṣāṃ duḥkhasyaivābhāvāt / ataḥsvārthābhisandhisamudbuddhakāruṇyānyatararūpavyāpakanivṛttyā jagatkaraṇarūpapravṛtternivṛttirityuttarārdhasyārthaḥ // 11 // sukhaikatānaṃ janayejjagatakaruṇayā sṛjan / tatkarmānuvidhāyitve bhavati-mahīmahīdharādi kāryaṃna bhavati, prasiddhakāryavilakṣaṇatvāt, gaganavat ; aśakyadarśanopādānopakaraṇatvādvā, vyatirekeṇa ghaṭādivat / paramāṇavona pratyakṣāḥ niratiśayasūkṣmadravyatvāt tathaiva ghaṭādivat / vimativiṣayaḥ kālo na lokaśūnyaḥ, kālatvādidānīntanakālavat / tanubhuvanādīśvarakartṛkaṃ na bhavati kāryatvāttadvadeva / īśvaraḥ kartā na bhavati prayojanarahitatvādaśarīratvādvā muktātmavaditi / athānaikāntyamapyāhopādānādyabhijñakartṛpūrvakatvasādhane ' na copādānādī ' ti / jñanādiviśeṣaguṇoparāgeṇaivātmanaḥ pratyakṣatvāt jñānārthapravṛttivelāyāṃ nātmano jñānopādānabhūtasvātmasākṣātkāritvaṃ niyamato 'sti / na vā tadupakaraṇādṛṣṭamana ādisākṣātkartṛtva m / jñānārtha pravṛtterjñane kartṛtvaṃ samavāyitvaṃ ca paramasti / tathā copādānādyabhijñapūrvakatvābhāvavati jñānādai kāryatvasya sattvādvyabhicāra ityarthaḥ/ nirukteśvarānumānadūṣaṇāni saṅgṛhṇāti ' asiddhatvā ' diti / kāryatvasya kṣityādāvasiddhiraśakyakriyatvādinākāryatvānumānāttasya anīśvaratvānavāpta kāmatvaśarīritvādiviparītākārakṣepakatvāt kṣityādau kartuḥ siṣādhayiṣitasya kāryatvasya viruddhatvam / dṛṣṭaḥ ; yenedamaśakyakriyamadhyavasyema / siddhe ca kāryatve tadupādānādisākṣātkaraṇatadadhiṣṭhānatatpreraṇanipuṇaḥ puruṣaviśeṣa sidhyatyeva / adhiṣṭhānaṃ ca tatpravṛttyanuguṇasaṅkalpavadīśvarasannikarṣaḥ, kṣetrājñeneva svaśarīrādau / sa ca dravyaiḥ saṃyogalakṣaṇaḥ, tadguṇaistisaṃyuktasamavāyarūpaḥ / pravṛttiśca paramāṇūnāṃ parispandalakṣaṇā ; dharmādharmayostu phalodayānukūlatādṛśadeśakālādisahakārisahitatā / tābhyāṃ dharmādharmābhyāmeva phalam, cetanānadhiṣṭhitānāṃ sarveṣāmeteṣāmacaitanyenākiñcitkaratvāt / na hi cetanena vardhakinānadhiṣṭhitā vāsī / deśakālādisahakāri śatasamadhigame 'pi yūpādīnyāpādayitumalam / bījāṅkurādayastu pakṣāntarbhūtā iti tairvyabhicāravacanamanabhijñatayaiva śrotriyāṇām / etena sukhādibhirvyabhicāro 'pi pratyuktaḥ / na cobhayavādisiddhatāmātreṇa kṣetrajñānāmevedṛśādhiṣṭhātṛtvakalpanamucitam ; teṣāṃ sūkṣmavyavahitādidarśanā śakterniścitatvāt / dṛṣṭānusāriṇī hi sarvatra kalpanā ; na dṛṣvirodhinī / na caivamīśvarasyāśaktirniścitā ; pramāṇāntaratasta(da)tsiddheḥ / yathoditapramāṇabalena sidhyam sāṃsiddhikasarvārthadarśanatatpreraṇaśaktisampanna eva sidhyati ; kāryatvasya samarthakartṛpūrvakatvena pratibandhāt / yattu parimitaśaktijñānānaiśvaryādyāpadanāddharmaviśeṣaviparīsādhanatva mudbhāvitam, tadatisthadhīyaḥ, aprayojakatvātteṣam / na hi kiñcit kriyamāṇaṃ karturarthāntaraviṣayamasāmarthyamajñānāṃ vā svotpatte 'pekṣate ; svasabhpādanasamarthakartṛmātrākṣepāt kevalavyatirekāsiddheḥ / tāvataivopapadyamāne kāryodaye sambandino 'kiñcitkarasyārthāntaraviṣayasyābhāvasya hetutva kalpanānupapatteḥ / api ca kiṃ taditaramastavastuvi, yamajñānādi vyāpakam, uta katipayagocaramiti vivecanīyam / na tāvadaśeṣaviṣayam, anupalabdheḥ / na khalu kumbhakāraḥ kumbhātireki kimapi na vijānāti / atha katipayaviṣayam / tadapi na, aniyataviṣayatayā tasya tasyavyabhicāradarśanāt / na cāstikiñcidvyavasthitam, yadavidyādimāneva kartṛtāmanubhavati / na ca śarīriṇaiva kartrā bhāvyam, śarīragrahaṇenaivānaikāntyāt / na khalu śarīraviśiṣṭassannevāyamātmā śarīramupādatte, ayoginoyugapadanekaśarīra grahaṇāyogāt/pūrvadhaparityāgena dehāntaraprāpakakarmapreritaprāṇasahāya eva dehāntaraṃ praviśatītyupapāditamātmacintāyām/ kiñcātmanaḥ śarīramadhitiṣṭhato 'dhiṣṭhānakriyātakarmabhūtasya dehasyādhiṣṭhātṛdaśā (dehā)nupraveśo 'nupapannaḥ, yugapadekakriyāyāmekasya karmakartṛtvavirodhāt / adhitiṣṭhāsitadehasaṃyogavata eva tatpravṛttyanuguṇa prayatnayogalakṣaṇamadhiṣṭhānaṃ dṛṣṭamiti cet ; astvekatattva (satva)sambaddhasyādhiṣṭhānānupapatteḥ preryavastusambhandhinā prerakeṇa bhavitavyamiti ; na punardehasambandhena (ndhinā) bhāvyamiti / kuto nirṇayaḥ ? ita eva, yato 'nyadapyadhiṣṭhīyamānaṃ mānajaṇḍādi svasambandhinauvādhiṣṭhīyate / tenādhiṣṭhānakriyāpekṣitādhiṣṭheyapadārthasambhandhamātrātirekeṇa dehasambandho nāmaparo nādartavyaḥ asti ceśvarasyāpi jagadupādānopakaraṇaissambandha ityuktameva / atha svadehavyatirikta vastuni pravṛttiviśeṣakaratvaṃ dehadvāreṇaiva / dṛṣṭaṃ hi daṇḍacakrādiṣu karasaṃyogādinā kulālādeḥ pravartayitṛtvamityucyeta ; tadapi na ; abhidhyānamātreṇaiva paraśarīragatagaranirasanavisāraṇadarśanāt / kathamasati śarīre parapreraṇātmakaḥ saṅkalpa iti cet ; kiṃ śarīraṃ saṅkalpayati, yena tadabhāve na bhavet ? / karaṇamiti cenna; manasaḥ karaṇatvāt īdṛśena kartrā ghaṭādiṣu kāryatvasya sambandho na dṛṣṭa iti cet ; atigahanagiritaṭādhiṣṭhānenātiprakṛṣṭādṛṣṭacarendhananivahasambandhinā hutavahaviśeṣeṇa mahānasādau dhūmasya vā kiṃ sambandho dṛṣṭaḥ ? yena dhūmaviśeṣadarśanāt giriśikhare tathāvidhāgniranumīyate / yādṛśo dhūmo yatrāvagataḥ tatraiva tādṛśastatsampādanasamarthau dṛṣṭāntabhūmāvaparidṛṣṭo 'pi sāmānyavyāptibalena pakṣadhramatāvaśāt sidhyatītita cet ; tadidamasmābhirabhidhīyamānaṃ kimiti na hṛdayamadhihohati bhavatām / imāpi kāryatvaṃ samarthakartṛpūrvakatvena ghaṭādiṣu viditasambandhaniyamaṃ kṣityādiṣu dṛśyamānaṃ svasampādanasamarthamadṛṣṭapūrvameva buddhimatkartāramupasthāpayati / yathaiva hi deśakālendhanaparimāṇādiviśeṣānādareṇa dhūmasya svodayānuguṇahutavahamātreṇa sambndhaniyamaḥ,tathaivānīśvaratvākiñcijjñatvaśarīritvapuṇyapāpaparavaśatvamanuṣyatvādi- viśeṣaprahāṇena kāryasya svinirmāṇasamarkhabuddhimatkartṛmātreṇa sambandhaniyamaniścaya iti na kaścidviśeṣaḥ / api ca vibhudravyasaṃyoginaḥ parispandavataśca sarvatra sparśavattvāvyābhicāre 'pi jñānasukhādinityadravyaviśeṣaguṇānumitātmasaṃyogino manasaḥ kathamiva sparśarahitatvam ? kathaṃ na vāyavīyadravyasyamahimaguṇaśālino niyatādhiṣṭhānaspārśanatvaniyamadarśane 'pi tvagindriye tadviparyayaḥ ? taijasasya vā rūpasparśayoranyattarasya vā prākaṭyaniyame 'pi rūpopalambhasādhanatānumitataijasabhāsya cakṣuṣo niyamena tadubhayānudbhavābhyupagamaḥ ? / atha kāryadarśanānumitasadbhāvānāṃ taijasādibhāve 'pi tattadviśeṣāṇāṃ yogyānupalabdhibādhitatvāt tadabhyupagame 'nekaniyamabhaṅgaprasaṅgācca tathābhyupagamaḥ, hanta tarhi prakṛviṣaye 'pi prasaḍhañjitadharmaviśeṣāṇāmanupalambhabādhāviśeṣāt anekaniyamadarśanavighātaprasaṅgācca tathābhyupagama iti sarvaṃ samānamanyatrābhiniveśāt / dṛśyante hi nītayaḥ / yathā-vivādāspadaṃ paramāṇvādi prekṣāvapreritaṃ ceṣṭate, acetanatvāt ; yadacetanaṃ tattathā, yathā tathāvidhaṃ kandukādi / tathā vivādādhyāsitā bāhyābhyantarapravṛttaya-prakṛtyupakaraṇapratyakṣapūrvikāḥ kāryatvāttadvadeva / pratiprayogānāha ' prayogaśce ' ti / aśakyadarśanopādānatvamupādayati ' paramāṇava ' iti / tathaiva-vyatirekeṇaiva / kāryatvasya pakṣe kṣityādau asiddhisādhanāya prayoga uktaḥ / atha jīvaiḥ siddhasādhanatvasādhanārtha pralayanirāse prayoga ucyate ' vimatī ' ti / sati hi pralaye sargārambhesraṣṭṛtvaṃ jīvānāṃ karaṇādividhuratvānna ghaṭata iti kartrantaraṃ mantavyaṃ bhavet / tat sarvakāryadravyavirahalakṣaṇaḥ pralayo nāstyeveti sādhyate 'tra / viruddhatvapradarśanārthaḥ prayogaḥ ' tanubunavanādī ' ti / īśvarakartṛkaṃ na bhavatītyanīśvarakartṛkaṃ bhavatītyarthaparyavasāyi / tadvadeva-anvayena ghaṭādivadeva / viparītaparyavasāyitvaṃ kāryatvānumānasyoktam / abhimataparyavasāyitvābhāvaṃ ca sphorayati ' īśvara ' iti / īśvaraḥīśvaratvābhimataḥ / ayaṃ ca satpratipakṣarūpaḥ / evaṃ mīmāṃsakaidrūṣitameveśvarānumānaṃ tārkikaprakriyāmevāvalambya prāyaśo vyavaśthāpayitumupakramate doṣoddhāramukhena ' atra brūma 'ityādinā / kāryatvam-utpattimattvam / kṣityādeḥ kāryatve hetavaḥ sabhāgatvādayaḥ / sabhāgatvaṃ-sāvayavatvam / ' vittyādibhya 'iti pracīnamudritapāṭhastu na samīcīnaḥ / kriyāvattvaṃ, 'yadviśeṣayo'rityādinyāyena kāryaviśeṣo kulālādeḥ kāraṇatvāt kāryatvāvacchinne 'pi kartṛtvāvacchinnasya kāraṇatvamastyeveti kāryatvameva sakartṛkatvavyāpyaṃ kṣityādau kartāraṃsamarthayatīti bhāvaḥ / yadvā kṣityādi na kāryaṃ prasiddhakāryavilakṣaṇatvādityatrāprayojakatvamāha ' na cedṛśa ' iti/ kāryaḥ-kṛtijanyaḥ, utpattimān vā / kṛtijanyatve vā prayojakaṃ kṣoṇyādyākāravyāvṛttaṅghaṭādyākāramātravṛttidharmaviśeṣaṃ na paśyāma ityarthaḥ / sati hi tasmin viśeṣe prasiddhakāryavailakṣaṇyasyākartṛkartṛkatvavyāptiḥ prasidhyet / anyathā tvaprayojakatvameva adṛṣṭakartṛko rājaprāsādo na kāryo daṣṭakartṛkaghaṭādikāryavilakṣaṇatvādityādivaditi bhāvaḥ / nanu śakyakriyatvādireva tādṛśoviśeṣaḥ kṣityādyākṛtivyāvṛtta iti cettatrāha ' yattu 'iti / ' tadastunāme ' ti / kṣityādau tādṛśaviśeṣābhāvo 'siddha iti hārdam / te-kriyājñāne / ' yathokte 'ti kāryatvahetukasakartṛkatvānumānalakṣaṇeti yāvat / ayaṃ bhāvaḥ - upādānādigocarāparokṣajñānacikīrṣākṛtimajjanyatvaṃ hi sādhyeta mahyādau / tatra ca tadvidheyakakṛtiḥ, tadupādānādyaparokṣajñānaṃ ca ghaṭakamastyeva / jñānakriyayorevaṃ prāmāṇikatvaṃ tadanuguṇasāmarthyamapi kalpanīyameva jagatkarturityaśakyakriyatvāderasiddhiriti bhāvaḥ / kriyāgocara-kṛtividheyaḥ / ' siddha ' iti / prāmāṇike ca kāryatve sati kāryatvasya viśiṣṭakartṛpūkatvavyāptibalāt kṣityādau kartṛviśeṣasiddhirapratyūhaiveti bhāvaḥ / 'tadadhiṣṭhānatapreraṇe' ti karmadhārayaḥ / yadvā parapravṛttyanuguṇavyāpāraḥ / preramam / tādṛśavyāpāravataḥ preryeṇa sannikarṣo 'dhiṣṭhānamiti bhidā / evaṃ jīvasya śarīrāvayavādyadhiṣṭānaṃ tatpravṛttyanukūlasaṅkalpena, evaṃ paramāṇyadṛṣṭādyadhiṣṭhānaṃ jagatkartṛrīśvarasya tatpravṛttyunukūlasaṅkalpeneti mantavyamityarthaḥ / ' sa ce 'ti / īśvarasannikarṣaḥ paramāṇvādau saṃyogarūpaḥ adṛṣṭe ca saṃyuktasamavāyarūpo vibhuddhayasaṃyogasyopagame / tadanupagame saṃyuktasaṃyogisamavāyalakṣaṇo bodhyaḥ /idaṃ ca tārkikaprakriyayā / ' pravṛtti ' riti / ārambhakasaṃyogānukūlakriyārūpā ca paramāṇūnāṃ pravṛttirityarthaḥ / adṛṣṭasya pravṛttiṃ nirvakti ' dharmādharmayo' riti/ idaṃ puṇyaṃ pāpaṃ vāsmin deśe kāle ca phalaṃ janayatvitīśvarasaṅkalpamūlādṛṣṭasya pravṛttiḥ phalodayānukūlatādṛśadeśakālādisahakārisamāsādanalakṣaṇā bhavatītyarthaḥ / ' tābhyā ' miti/ evakāro bhinnakramaḥ / tābhyāṃ-cetanādhiṣṭhitābhyāmeva dharmādharmābhyāṃ palamityānvayaḥ / nanu kartāramantaraiva kāraṇāntarataḥ kṣityādi bhavediti śaṅkāmantarnidhāya tatparihāramāha ' cetana 'ti / akiñcitkaratvamevopapādayati ' nahī ' ti / tathā cādhiṣṭhātuḥ kārakacakraprayoktaḥ kartṛścetanasyāpekṣā kāryasāmānye 'syeveti kṣityādau sakartṛkatvaṃ nāpahnavārham / acetanasya kāraṇagrāmasya catanādhiṣṭhānamantarā pravṛttyanupapatteriti bhāvaḥ / upādānadigocarāparokṣajñānamantarā ca tadadhiṣṭhānalakṣaṇasya kartṛtvasyāsambhavāt kṣityādikartṛḥ paramāṇvādisākṣātkāro 'pyāvaśyakaḥ / cikīrṣāpūrvakārakacakrapravṛttihetukṛtinirūpyaṃ ca preraṇamiti kārakacakraprayoktṛtvarūpādhiṣṭhātṛtvalakṣaṇasyopādānādigocarāparokṣajñānacikīrṣākṛtimattvalakṣaṇasya ca kartṛtvasya nātyantabhedaḥ / tataśca pūrvatropādānādigocarāparokṣajñānacikīrṣākṛtimattvaṃ kartṛtvamuktam / atrādhiṣṭhātṛtvarūpaṃ tat samarthyata iti parakṛtāsāṅgatyamiti śaṅkāyā nāvasara ityavadheyama / evaṃbhūtasya kṣityādikartṛtvasya sadā sarvadarśinaṃ sarvasamarthaṃ ceśvaraṃ vinānyatra jīveṣvasambhavānna taiḥ siddhasādhanamiti cātra vivakṣitam / na cobhayavādī' tyagrimagranthe caitadvakṣyate / madhye 'naikāntyaṃ paraharati prasaṃṅgataḥ ' bīje ' ti / yatra yatra kārye na dṛṣṭaḥ kartā, tatatsarvamipa kāryaṃ prakṛte pakṣīkṛtam / pakṣe ca vyabhicāraśaṅkā na doṣāya, anyathānumānakathāyā eva vilopaprasaṅgāditi bhāvaḥ / ' etene ' ti / pakṣāntarbhūtatvenaivetyarthaḥ / ādipadena jñānādi grahyam / na hi svasukhajñānādyarthapravṛttimān jīvastadopakaraṇopādānādṛṣṭasvātmasākṣātkartā / tat upādānādi sākṣātkartṛpūrvakatvarūpasādhyabhāvavati sukhajñānādau kāryatvasya sattvādvyabhicāra ityapi sukhāderapi pakṣāntarbhāvata eva nirastamityarthaḥ / tatrāpyupādānādisākṣātkartṛpūrvakatvamīśvareṇaiva nirūhyate 'smābhiriti hṛdayam / nanu tarhi jīvasya svasukhādau kartṛtvaṃ na syāditi vācyam / sukhādisampādanārthatassādhanadarśanopādānapravṛttimattvādevopapatteḥ, kulālāderiva dṛṣṭopakaraṇādidarśanopādānādinā ghaṭādau / adṛṣṭakāraṇādhiṣṭhānaṃ tu sarvatra kārye paramātmana eveti dhyeyam / nanvevamapi svajñānādyarthapravṛttipūrvakāle niyamena svasya sākṣātkārābhāvāt svajñānādyupādānabhūtasvātmasākṣātkartṛtvaṃ tadā tasya nāstīti cet, na, ātmanaḥ svaprakāśatvanayena tadā svātmasākṣātkārasyāpi saṃmānayitavyatvāt / svajñānādau svasya kartṛtvasya svasmṛtimātreṇāpi abhyupagantavyatvādvā na doṣaḥ / upādānādisākṣātkartṛpūrvakatvamiti niyamastu īśvareṇaiva tatra tatra nirvāhyeti ca na vismartavyama / tadarthameva sukhādyapi pakṣīkṛtamiti bodhyam / vyabhicāraṃ parihṛtya siddhasādhanatāṃ pariharati ' na cobhaye ' ti / tadāśarīritvāditi bhāvaḥ / yogino yogabalājjīvato dehāntaragrahaṇaṃ saśarīrasyaiva dṛṣṭamityayogina ityuktam / nanu ayogino 'pi sūkṣmaśarīravata eva sthūladehāntaragrahaṇaṃ pretyeti na vyabhicāra ityatrāha ' pūrveti ' / nanu śrutibalādbhūtasūkṣmaiḥ pariṣvaktasyaiva jīvasya gatyādireṣṭavyā / tānyevendriyaprāṇasaṃsṛṣṭāni sūkṣmadeha ucyate / tathā ca kartuḥ śarīratvaniyame na vyabhicāra iti cet ; atra brūmaḥ / evamapi sthūlaśarīravattvaniyame 'naikāntyaṃ sthitameva / sūkṣmasya tu na mukhyaṃ śarīratvam / amukhyaṃ ca tadīśvaraṃ prati paramāṇūnāmapyakṣuṇṇameva / tathāhi nyāyācāryodayanaḥ paramāṇūnāmīśvara śarīratvamuśatīti / evaṃ śarīropādāne kartṛtvaṃ jīvasyā śarīrasyaiveti samarthya śarīrapreraṇe kartṛtvamapyaśarīrasyaivetyāha ' kiñce ' ti / adhitiṣṭhataḥ-pravartayataḥ adhiṣṭhātṛdehānupraveśaḥ adhiṣṭhātṛtāvacchedakaghaṭakatā / śarīramadhitiṣṭhato 'dhiṣṭhātṛtāvacchedakaṃ saṅkalpādireva, na tu taccharīramapi / adhiṣṭhānakarmībhūtasya kāṣṭhāde stacchettṛtāvacchedakatvaṃ yathā na tadvaditi bhāvaḥ / nanu svādhiṣṭhātṛsambaddhasya dehasya kathaṃ nādhiṣṭhātṛtāvacchedakatā ? iti śaṅkate ' adhitiṣṭhāsite ' ti / pariharati ' astveke ' ti / neśvarasyānākṛteḥ paramāṇvādyadhiṣṭhātṛtvaṃ saṃbhavatītyāśayaḥ śaṅkituḥ / imamapi niyamamanaikāntyenaiva dūṣayati ' tadapi ne ' ti / saṅkalpagaruḍadhyānādimānasavyāpāramātreṇa hastādivyāpāraṃ vināpi paraśarīrasthaviṣanivartanādidarśanāddehatadavayavavyatiriktādhiṣṭhāne dehādivyāpārāpekṣāniyamo nāstītyarthaḥ / preryasaṃbandho 'pyatra prerakasya jñānadvāraka eveti ca bodhyam / punaḥ śaṅkate ' katham ' iti / janyajñānādau dehasya hetutvāditi bhāvaḥ / antarnihitottara ākṣipati ' ki ' miti / dehasya kiṃ saṅkalpe kartṛtvam ? yena yena tadabhāve saṅkalpo na ghaṭetetyarthaḥ / śaṅkate ' karaṇa ' dehasyāpyastyevāpekṣāvacchedakatayeti cedatra brūmaḥ-baddhajñānādāveva dehāpekṣā, nānyatra / ' manasaivaitān kāmān paśyan ramateya ete brahmaloke ' ' manasaiva jagatsṛṣṭi '-mityādinā muktasyeśvarasya ca manovattvaṃ, tata eva jñānasaṅkalpādikaṃ ca pratīyate / taddehavigame 'pi manaso nityendriyatvopagamādeva śarīrānapekṣasaṅkalpādyupapattiriti / īśvare nityajñānacikīrṣāprayatnavādināṃ tārkikāṇāṃ mate tu na tarāṃ śarīrādyapekṣā / atra manovattvāgantukasaṅkalpādisamarthanaṃ tu tadekadeśimatena vā siddhāntacchāyayā veti bodhyam / manovattve 'niṣṭaprasaṅgaṃ śaṅkate ' nanvevam ' iti / manovattvasya śarīritvādivyāpyatayā śarīritvādyāpadyeteśvarasyetyarthaḥ / pariharati ' maivam ' iti / samarthakartṛpūrvakatvena kāryatvasya vyāptergṛhītatvāt tataḥ kṣityādau sidhyataḥ karturīśvarasyāśarīritvaiśvaryādyeva setsyati ' yakṣānurūpo bali ' riti nyāyāt / śarīritvādyupagame cāsāmarthyaprasaṅgāt / yathācaitattathā 'nacāsmadāde' -rityanantaravākye vakṣyate / tathā ceśvare śarīratvānaiśvaryādyāpādanaṃ dharmigrāhakamānabādhitamityarthaḥ / draḍhimnaiva-dṛḍhatayaiva / 'samarthakartṛkatvārthadraḍhimnaive'ti samastapāṭhaḥ sādhīyān / manasaḥ śarīritvādivyāpyatvamapi nirākaroti ' manasa ' iti / sarīrābhāve 'pi prāyaṇāvāntaralayādau nityendriyatayā manasaḥ sattvātkālāvacchedena śarīravyāpyatvaṃ manaso nāstītyarthaḥ / nanvevamapi saśarīrasyaiva kartṛtvaṃ tatra tatra dṛṣṭāmiti śarīrikartṛkatvena vyāptiḥ kāryatvasya kuto na gṛhyata ityatrāha ' yāvaddhī ' ti / dṛṣṭānuguṇaṃ kāryānugumatvena dṛṣṭamata eva vyāptyupayogi thadrūpaṃ tadavacchinnenaiva vyāptireṣṭavyā / jñānaśaktyoreva ca kāryānugumatā / te yadyapi karmaparavaśe kulālādau śarīrādhīne ; naitāvatā śarīrādervyāpakatāvacchedakakoṭiniveśa iti bhāvaḥ / evamanabhimatāpadakatvaṃ parihṛtam / athābhimataviśeṣasiddhiprakāraṃ prapañcayati ' na cāsmadāde ' riti / aparyantavistārasya anavadhikāyāmavato 'paricchinnasya prādeśikaśarīrakaḥ parimitadeśavartiparicchinnamūrtimān / alaṃ-samarthaḥ / śiṣṭaṃ spaṣṭam / śaṅkate ' īdṛśene ' ti / akarmavaśyatvāśarīritvasarvajñatvādiviśiṣṭakartrā kāryatvasyāvinābhāvo ghaṭādau na dṛṣṭa iti śaṅkiturbhāvaḥ / sāmānyadharmāvacchinnavyāptigrahādeva pakṣadharmatābalasahakārātpakṣīyasādhya viśeṣasiddhiriti hārdena pratibandīmāha ' atigahane ' ti / śaṅkiturmukhenaiva parahāraṃ vācayati ' yādṛśa ' iti / yādṛśaḥ-atijaḍilaganatalanicumbisantata- santanyamānadhārārūpaḥ / tādṛśaḥmahāvahniḥ / ' ta ' diti / niruktavidhamahādhūmajananasamartha ityarthaḥ / atra ' tādṛśatatsaṃpādanasamartha ' iti samastapāṭhaḥ syādvā / uttarataulyamāha ' tadidam ' iti / yathā deśakālaparimāṇādiviśeṣo vahneranaikāntyāddhūmavyāpakatāvacchedakaghaṭako na bhavati, kintvādrendhanayugvahnitvamātraṃ tathā, evaṃ manuṣyatvādi sahacaritamipi na kartṛtāvacchedakakoṭighaṭakam / anyatrāpi kartṛtvadarśanāt / kintu sāmarthyamātraṃ tathetyāha ' yathaive ' ti / dhūmātparvate vahniviśeṣānumānāt kāryatvāt kṣityādau kartṛviśeṣānumānasya na vailakṣaṇyam / yathā tatrābhimataviśeṣasiddhistathā prakṛte 'pīte bhāvaḥ / atha sapakṣadarśanamātreṇa sarvadharmāpādane pratibandī vivakṣurāha ' api ce ' ti / vibhudravyasaṃyogina ityanenāvibhutvaṃ manaso vivakṣitam / vibhudvayasaṃyogasya tārkikairanupagamāt / jñānādyasamavāyikāraṇasaṃyogāśrayatayā manaḥsiddhirita jñānetyādiviśeṣaṇam / ātmamanaḥsaṃyogasyaiva hi jñānādāvasamavāyihetutvaṃ tanmatam / jñānāyaugapadyācca tasyāṇutvaṃ matam, niḥsparśatvaṃ ca / sparśavattve bhūtatvaprasaṅgāt / bhūtatve cābhūtaviśeṣaguṇagrahakatvāsaṃbhavāt / atrāyaṃ pratitarko vivakṣitaḥ-mano yadi paricchinnaparimāmavat syāt kriyāvadvā tarhi sparśavadbhavediti / bhūyaḥ sahacāradṛṣṭasyāpi kvacidvyabhicāra ityasyedamekaṃ nidarśanam / atha nidarśanamanyatpradarśayati ' kathaṃ ce ' ti / aniyatādhiṣṭhāneti padanchedaḥ / yadyapi mahato vāyorgatiśīlasyāniyatādhiṣṭhānatvamudbhūtasparśavattvāt spārśanapratyakṣatvaṃ ca bhūyo dṛṣṭam / athāpi vāyavīyatvenānumitasya dehavyāpinastvagindriyasya niyatādhiṣṭhānatvamaspārśanatvaṃ cābhimatam / atra pratitarkaḥ-tvaco vāyavīyamahatkāryatve udbhūtasparśavattvādi bhavediti / nidarśanāntaraṃ ' taijasasye ' ti / kāryatejaso mahimaguṇavato rūpasparśayorudbhūtatvaṃ jvalanādau / sparśamātrasyodbhūtatvaṃ bharjjitakapālavahnyādau / rūpamātrasyodbhūtatvaṃ prabhādau / evaṃ rūpasparśaubhayatadanyatarodbhavasya bhūyo dṛṣṭatve 'pi cakṣuṣo rūpadiṣu rūpādiṣu rūpamātravyañjakatvenānumitataijasabhāvasya tadubhayānudbhavaḥ kathamityarthaḥ / cakṣuṣaḥ taijasamahatkaryatve rūpasparśānyatarodbhavaḥ syāditi prasaṅgo 'tra bodhyaḥ / pratitarkāṇāmābhāsatvamityāśayena prativakti paraḥ ' atha 'ti / tattadviśeṣāṇām-udbhūtarūpasparśānyataraspārśanatvasparśavattvādīnāṃ bhūyaḥ / sahacāradarśanamātreṇa cakṣurādāvāpād.mānānāṃ yogyānupalambhabādhitatvamiti nāpādakavyāpakatvamāpādyasyeti bhāvaḥ / yadyapi manaso 'ṇutvāttatra sparśavattvasya yogyānupalambhabādho durvacaḥ / tathāpi tatra tadupagame 'nekaniyamabhaṅgaprasaṅgostyeva / tadāha ' tadabhyupagama ' iti / yathā- manasaḥ sparśavattve bhūtatvaprasaṅgaḥ / bhūtatvānupagame sparśavato bhūtatvameveti niyamabhaṅga/ bhūtatvopagame cendriyāntaravadabhūtātmaviśeṣaguṇāgrāhaktavāttiḥ / tadgrāhakatvopagame cābhūtaviśeṣaguṇāgrāhakatvaniyamasyāpi bhaṅga / iti / evaṃ cakṣurādāvapi udbhūtarūpavattvādisvīkāre nānāniyamabhaṅgaprasaṅgo 'nusandheyaḥ / vipakṣe bādhakaviraheṇāpādyāpādakayorvyāpyavyāpakabhāvāsiddhiḥ / tathā ca pratitarkāṇāṃ chinnamūlatvaṃ ca vivakṣitam / ' tathābhyupagama ' iti mana-prabhṛterniḥsparśatvādyabhyupagama ityarthaḥ / tulyanayena kratṛtve saśarīratvamiti niyamo 'pi nāstītyāśayavānāheśvaravādī ' hantatarhī ' ti / svasmin prasañjitapratitarkanirākaramayukteḥ paramukhenaivānuvācanajanitaharṣadyotako 'yaṃ / hantaśabdaḥ / saśarīratve śarīradvāropalambhaprasaṅga īśvarasya / kramavattve cāsārvajñyādiprasaṅgaḥ / prakṛtaṣṭadharmavattvāt sārvajñyādyugamaśca na saṃbhavati / sādhānānuṣṭhānarāhityātprakṛṣṭadharmasyānupapatteḥ / īśvarasya sa dharmo nitya evopeyata iti pakṣe ca dharmasāmānyasya vihitakriyājanyatvaniyamabhaṅgaḥ / akarmatve ceśvarasya saśarīratvāyogaḥ / taccharīrasya nityatvopagame ca sāvayavatvasya kāryatvavyāpyatvaniyamabhaṅgaḥ / tathā ca kṣityāderapi kāryatvāsiddhestatkartṛtveneśvarānumānāyoga iti bahuramūhanīyam / sahacāramātreṇa kartṛtvasya na saśarīratvādivyāptiḥ, vipakṣe bādhakavirahāditi ca hārdam / nanu cakṣurādestaijasādibhāve 'pi tattadviśeṣasya pramāṇasiddhatvānna tadviruddhāpādānasambhavaḥ / naivaṃ tvīśvarīyaviśeṣāṇāṃ mānasiddhatvamiti cettatrāha ' dṛśyanta ' iti / nītayaḥ-nyāyāḥ, anumānāni / īśvare 'pyabhimataviśeṣeṣu santi pramāṇānītyarthaḥ tānyeva prapañcayati ' yathā ' iti / 'tathe' ti pāṭhe tu tathā hi nītayo dṛśyanta ityanvayaḥ / tathā-īśvarīyābhimataviśeṣasādhakāḥ / īśvarasya sraṣṭṛtve tādanumānamuktaṃ pūrvam / tasya pravartayitṛtve tadāha ' paramāṇvādī ' ti / vivādāspadamiti pakṣatāsambhavadyotakaṃ viśeṣaṇam / sādhyatadabhāvānyataranirṇaye hi pakṣatātivartate / sādhyatadabāvavattvavipratipattiviṣayībhūtamiti /tadarthaḥ / sādhyavattvena sandihyamānamiti phalitam / sādhyasandehasya pakṣatātvaṃ prācāṃ matam / siddhisthale 'pyāhāryasaṃśayādevānumitsayā bhavatyanumānamiti bodhyam / preraṇaṃ ca paraprṛttyanuguṇasaṅkalpaprayannavattvalakṣaṇam / paramāṇvādigocarāvīśvarasya saṅkalpaprayatnau prasādhya sākṣātkāramapi tādṛśaṃ sādhayati ' tathe ' ti / tadvadeva-kandukādipravṛttivadeva / kandukādipravṛttāvupādānaṃ kandukādi, upakaraṇaṃ daṇḍādi / tatsākṣātkārī daṇḍena kandukādi pravartayati / tataśca tatra pravṛttirūtpadyate / evaṃ paramāṇvādipravṛtterjñānādyarthāntarātmapravṛtterapyupādānopakaraṇaparamāṇvādyadṛṣṭādisākṣātkartātra sādhyate / na caitatsākṣātkartṛtvaṃ jīvānāmiti na taiḥ siddhasādhanam / atīndriyārthānāmapi sākṣātkāraḥ phalito 'trānumāne / atha sākṣādevātīndriyārthān pakṣīkṛtya pratyakṣaviṣayatvaṃ sādhayati ' pratyakṣam ' iti / tat-paramāṇvādi / atīndriyārthasākṣātkartā kaścit saṃbhavatītyatraiva tātparyamevaṃvadhānumānapratipādakānāṃ paramācāryāṇām / kṣityādikarturabhimata ekatve prayogamāha ' ekecche ' ti / idamacetanaprapañcajātam, / sarvapradhānatvādṛṣṭādhiṣṭhātṛtvādisādhanapramāṇopanyāsakānāṃ cācāryacaraṇānāmetaddhārdagra mityunnayāma iti dik // granthabhāgo 'grimaḥ kvāpi netaḥ samupalabhyate / yāvallabdhasya vihitā vyākhyeyaṃ saralā mayā // iti śrīnāgapurī (tirunāṅgūra) divyadeśābhijanena prativādibhayaṅkarācāryānvayabhūṣaṇavidvadvarya śrīkṛṣṇamācāryā khyācāryavaryaputraratnena deśikendracaraṇakamalavarivasyāsamadhigatapadavākyapramāṇatantrahṛdayena śrīvaiṣṇavadāsena pra.bha. aṇṇaṅgācāryeṇa nyāyavyākaraṇaśiromaṇinobhayavedāntaviduṣā praṇītamīśvarasiddhervyākhyānaṃ siddhāñjanaṃ vijayatāntarām /
