śivopaniṣad kailāsaśikharāsīnam aśeṣāmarapūjitam kālaghnaṃ śrīmahākālam īśvaraṃ jñānapāragam // kailāsa-śikhara-āsīnam aśeṣa-amara-pūjitam kāla-ghnaṃ śrī-mahākālam īśvaraṃ jñāna-pāragam // saṃpūjya vidhivad bhaktyā ṛṣyātreyaḥ susaṃyataḥ sarvabhūtahitārthāya papracchedaṃ mahāmuniḥ // saṃpūjya vidhivad bhaktyā ṛṣy-ātreyaḥ susaṃyataḥ sarva-bhūta-hita-arthāya papraccha idaṃ mahā-muniḥ // jñānayogaṃ na vindanti ye narā mandabuddhayaḥ te mucyante kathaṃ ghorād bhagavan bhavasāgarāt // jñāna-yogaṃ na vindanti ye narā manda-buddhayaḥ te mucyante kathaṃ ghorād bhagavan bhava-sāgarāt // evaṃ pṛṣṭaḥ prasannātmā ṛṣy ātreyeṇa dhīmatā mandabuddhivimuktyarthaṃ mahākālaḥ prabhāṣate // evaṃ pṛṣṭaḥ prasanna-ātmā ṛṣy ātreyeṇa dhīmatā manda-buddhi-vimukty-arthaṃ mahā-kālaḥ prabhāṣate // purā rudreṇa gaditāḥ śivadharmāḥ sanātanāḥ devyāḥ sarvagaṇānāṃ ca saṃkṣepād granthakoṭibhiḥ // purā rudreṇa gaditāḥ śiva-dharmāḥ sanātanāḥ devyāḥ sarva-gaṇānāṃ ca saṃkṣepād grantha-koṭibhiḥ // āyuḥ prajñāṃ tathā śaktiṃ prasamīkṣya nṝṇām iha tāpatrayaprapīḍāṃ ca bhogatṛṣṇāvimohinīm // āyuḥ prajñāṃ tathā śaktiṃ prasamīkṣya nṝṇām iha tāpa-traya-prapīḍāṃ ca bhoga-tṛṣṇā-vimohinīm // te dharmāḥ skandanandibhyām anyaiś ca munisattamaiḥ sāramādāya nirdiṣṭāḥ samyakprakaraṇāntaraiḥ // te dharmāḥ skanda-nandibhyām anyaiś ca muni-sattamaiḥ sāra-mādāya nirdiṣṭāḥ samyak-prakaraṇa-antaraiḥ // sārād api mahāsāraṃ śivopaniṣadaṃ param alpagranthaṃ mahārthaṃ ca pravakṣyāmi jagaddhitam // sārād api mahā-sāraṃ śiva-upaniṣadaṃ param alpa-granthaṃ mahā-arthaṃ ca pravakṣyāmi jagad-dhitam // śivaḥ śiva ime śānta nāma cādyaṃ muhurmuhuḥ uccārayanti tad bhaktyā te śivā nātra saṃśayaḥ // śivaḥ śiva ime śānta nāma cā adyaṃ muhur-muhuḥ uccārayanti tad bhaktyā te śivā na atra saṃśayaḥ // aśivāḥ pāśasaṃyuktāḥ paśavaḥ sarvacetanāḥ yasmād vilakṣaṇās tebhyas tasmād īśaḥ śivaḥ smṛtaḥ // aśivāḥ pāśa-saṃyuktāḥ paśavaḥ sarva-cetanāḥ yasmād vilakṣaṇās tebhyas tasmād īśaḥ śivaḥ smṛtaḥ // guṇo buddhir ahaṃkāras tanmātrāṇīndriyāni ca bhūtāni ca caturviṃśad iti pāśāḥ prakīrtitāḥ // guṇo buddhir ahaṃkāras tan-mātrāṇi indriyāni ca bhūtāni ca catur-viṃśad iti pāśāḥ prakīrtitāḥ // pañcaviṃśakam ajñānaṃ sahajaṃ sarvadehinām pāśājālasya tan mūlaṃ prakṛtiḥ kāraṇāya naḥ // pañcaviṃśakam ajñānaṃ sahajaṃ sarva-dehinām pāśā-jālasya tan mūlaṃ prakṛtiḥ kāraṇāya naḥ // satyajñāne nibadhyante puruṣāḥ pāśabandhanaiḥ madbhāvāc ca vimucyante jñāninaḥ pāśapañjarāt // satya-jñāne nibadhyante puruṣāḥ pāśa-bandhanaiḥ mad-bhāvāc ca vimucyante jñāninaḥ pāśa-pañjarāt // ṣaḍviṃśakaś ca puruṣaḥ paśur ajñaḥ śivāgame saptaviṃśa iti proktaḥ śivaḥ sarvajagatpatiḥ // ṣaḍviṃśakaś ca puruṣaḥ paśur ajñaḥ śiva-āgame saptaviṃśa iti proktaḥ śivaḥ sarva-jagat-patiḥ // yasmāc chivaḥ susaṃpūrṇaḥ sarvajñaḥ sarvagaḥ prabhuḥ tasmāt sa pāśaharitaḥ sa viśuddhaḥ svabhāvataḥ // yasmāc chivaḥ susaṃpūrṇaḥ sarvajñaḥ sarvagaḥ prabhuḥ tasmāt sa pāśa-haritaḥ sa viśuddhaḥ sva-bhāvataḥ // paśupāśaparaḥ śāntaḥ paramajñānadeśikaḥ śivaḥ śivāya bhūtānāṃ taṃ vijñāya vimucyate // paśu-pāśa-paraḥ śāntaḥ parama-jñāna-deśikaḥ śivaḥ śivāya bhūtānāṃ taṃ vijñāya vimucyate // etad eva paraṃ jñānaṃ śiva ity akṣaradvayam vicārād yāti vistāraṃ tailabindur ivāmbhasi // etad eva paraṃ jñānaṃ śiva ity akṣara-dvayam vicārād yāti vistāraṃ taila-bindur iva ambhasi // sakṛd uccāritaṃ yena śiva ity akṣaradvayam baddhaḥ parikaras tena mokṣopagamanaṃ prati // sakṛd uccāritaṃ yena śiva ity akṣara-dvayam baddhaḥ parikaras tena mokṣa-upagamanaṃ prati // dvyakṣaraḥ śivamantro 'yaṃ śivopaniṣadi smṛtaḥ ekākṣaraḥ punaś cāyam om ity evaṃ vyavasthitaḥ // dvy-akṣaraḥ śiva-mantro 'yaṃ śiva-upaniṣadi smṛtaḥ eka-akṣaraḥ punaś ca ayam om ity evaṃ vyavasthitaḥ // nāmasaṃkīrtaṇād eva śivasyāśeṣapātakaiḥ yataḥ pramucyate kṣipraṃ mantro 'yaṃ dvyakṣaraḥ paraḥ // nāma-saṃkīrtaṇād eva śivasya aśeṣa-pātakaiḥ yataḥ pramucyate kṣipraṃ mantro 'yaṃ dvy-akṣaraḥ paraḥ // yaḥ śivaṃ śivam ity evaṃ dvyakṣaraṃ mantram abhyaset ekākṣaraṃ vā satataṃ sa yāti paramaṃ padam // yaḥ śivaṃ śivam ity evaṃ dvy-akṣaraṃ mantram abhyaset eka-akṣaraṃ vā satataṃ sa yāti paramaṃ padam // mitrasvajanabandhūnāṃ kuryān nāma śivātmakam api tat kīrtanād yāti pāpamuktaḥ śivaṃ puram // mitra-svajana-bandhūnāṃ kuryān nāma śiva-ātmakam api tat kīrtanād yāti pāpa-muktaḥ śivaṃ puram // vijñeyaḥ sa śivaḥ śānto naras tadbhāvabhāvitaḥ āste sadā nirudvignaḥ sa dehānte vimucyate // vijñeyaḥ sa śivaḥ śānto naras tad-bhāva-bhāvitaḥ āste sadā nirudvignaḥ sa deha-ante vimucyate // hṛdy antaḥkaraṇaṃ jñeyaṃ śivasya āyatanaṃ param hṛtpadmaṃ vedikā tatra liṅgam oṃkāram iṣyate // hṛdy antaḥ-karaṇaṃ jñeyaṃ śivasya āyatanaṃ param hṛt-padmaṃ vedikā tatra liṅgam oṃ-kāram iṣyate // puruṣaḥ sthāpako jñeyaḥ satyaṃ saṃmārjanaṃ smṛtam ahiṃsā gomayaṃ proktaṃ śāntiś ca salilaṃ param // puruṣaḥ sthāpako jñeyaḥ satyaṃ saṃmārjanaṃ smṛtam ahiṃsā gomayaṃ proktaṃ śāntiś ca salilaṃ param // kuryāt saṃmārjanaṃ prājño vairāgyaṃ candanaṃ smṛtam pūjayed dhyānayogena saṃtoṣaiḥ kusumaiḥ sitaiḥ // kuryāt saṃmārjanaṃ prājño vairāgyaṃ candanaṃ smṛtam pūjayed dhyāna-yogena saṃtoṣaiḥ kusumaiḥ sitaiḥ // dhūpaś ca guggulur deyaḥ prāṇāyāmasamudbhavaḥ pratyāhāraś ca naivedyam asteyaṃ ca pradakṣiṇam // dhūpaś ca guggulur deyaḥ prāṇa-āyāma-samudbhavaḥ pratyāhāraś ca naivedyam asteyaṃ ca pradakṣiṇam // iti divyopacāraiś ca saṃpūjya paramaṃ śivam japed dhyāyec ca muktyarthaṃ sarvasaṅgavivarjitaḥ // iti divya-upacāraiś ca saṃpūjya paramaṃ śivam japed dhyāyec ca mukty-arthaṃ sarva-saṅga-vivarjitaḥ // jñānayogavinirmuktaḥ karmayogasamāvṛttaḥ mṛtaḥ śivapuraṃ gacchet sa tena śivakarmaṇā // jñāna-yoga-vinirmuktaḥ karma-yoga-samāvṛttaḥ mṛtaḥ śiva-puraṃ gacchet sa tena śiva-karmaṇā // tatra bhuktvā mahābhogān pralaye sarvadehinām śivadharmāc chivajñānaṃ prāpya muktim avāpnuyāt // tatra bhuktvā mahā-bhogān pralaye sarva-dehinām śiva-dharmāc chiva-jñānaṃ prāpya muktim avāpnuyāt // jñānayogena mucyante dehapātād anantaram bhogān bhuktvā ca mucyante pralaye karmayoginaḥ // jñāna-yogena mucyante deha-pātād anantaram bhogān bhuktvā ca mucyante pralaye karma-yoginaḥ // tasmāj jñānavido yogāt tathājñāḥ karmayoginaḥ sarva eva vimucyante ye narāḥ śivam āśritāḥ // tasmāj jñāna-vido yogāt tatha ājñāḥ karma-yoginaḥ sarva eva vimucyante ye narāḥ śivam āśritāḥ // sa bhogaḥ śivavidyārthaṃ yeṣāṃ karmāsti nirmalam te bhogān prāpya mucyante pralaye śivavidyayā // sa bhogaḥ śiva-vidyā-arthaṃ yeṣāṃ karma asti nirmalam te bhogān prāpya mucyante pralaye śiva-vidyayā // vidyā saṃkīrtanīyā hi yeṣāṃ karma na vidyate te cāvartya vimucyante yāvat karma na tad bhavet // vidyā saṃkīrtanīyā hi yeṣāṃ karma na vidyate te cā avartya vimucyante yāvat karma na tad bhavet // śivajñānavidaṃ tasmāt pūjayed vibhavair gurum vidyādānaṃ ca kurvīta bhogamokṣajigīṣayā // śiva-jñāna-vidaṃ tasmāt pūjayed vibhavair gurum vidyā-dānaṃ ca kurvīta bhoga-mokṣa-jigīṣayā // śivayogī śivajñānī śivajāpī tapo'dhikaḥ kramaśaḥ karmayogī ca pañcaite muktibhājanāḥ // śiva-yogī śiva-jñānī śiva-jāpī tapo'dhikaḥ kramaśaḥ karma-yogī ca pañca-ete mukti-bhājanāḥ // karmayogasya yan mūlaṃ tad vakṣyāmi samāsataḥ liṅgam āyatanaṃ ceti tatra karma pravartate // karma-yogasya yan mūlaṃ tad vakṣyāmi samāsataḥ liṅgam āyatanaṃ ca iti tatra karma pravartate // // iti śivopaniṣadi muktinirdeśādhyāyaḥ prathamaḥ // atha pūrvasthito liṅge garbhaḥ sa triguṇo bhavet garbhād vāpi vibhāgena sthāpya liṅgaṃ śivālaye // atha pūrva-sthito liṅge garbhaḥ sa tri-guṇo bhavet garbhād va āpi vibhāgena sthāpya liṅgaṃ śiva-ālaye // yāval liṅgasya dairghyaṃ syāt tāvad vedyāś ca vistaraḥ liṅgatṛtīyabhāgena bhaved vedyāḥ samucchrayaḥ // yāval liṅgasya dairghyaṃ syāt tāvad vedyāś ca vistaraḥ liṅga-tṛtīya-bhāgena bhaved vedyāḥ samucchrayaḥ // bhāgam ekaṃ nyased bhūmau dvitīyaṃ vedimadhyataḥ tṛtīyabhāge pūjā svād iti liṅgaṃ tridhā sthitam // bhāgam ekaṃ nyased bhūmau dvitīyaṃ vedi-madhyataḥ tṛtīya-bhāge pūjā svād iti liṅgaṃ tridhā sthitam // bhūmisthaṃ caturaśraṃ svād aṣṭāśraṃ vedimadhyataḥ pūjārthaṃ vartulaṃ kāryaṃ dairghyāt triguṇavistaram // bhūmi-sthaṃ catur-aśraṃ svād aṣṭa-aśraṃ vedi-madhyataḥ pūjā-arthaṃ vartulaṃ kāryaṃ dairghyāt tri-guṇa-vistaram // adhobhāge sthitaḥ skandaḥ sthitā devī ca madhyataḥ ūrdhvaṃ rudraḥ kramād vāpi brahmaviṣṇumaheśvarāḥ // adho-bhāge sthitaḥ skandaḥ sthitā devī ca madhyataḥ ūrdhvaṃ rudraḥ kramād va āpi brahma-viṣṇu-maheśvarāḥ // eta eva trayo lokā eta eva trayo guṇāḥ eta eva trayo vedā etac cānyat sthitaṃ tridhā // eta eva trayo lokā eta eva trayo guṇāḥ eta eva trayo vedā etac ca anyat sthitaṃ tridhā // navahastaḥ smṛto jyeṣṭhaḥ ṣaḍḍhastaś cāpi madhyamaḥ vidyāt kanīyas traihastaṃ liṅgamānam idaṃ smṛtam // nava-hastaḥ smṛto jyeṣṭhaḥ ṣaḍ-ḍhastaś ca api madhyamaḥ vidyāt kanīyas trai-hastaṃ liṅga-mānam idaṃ smṛtam // garbhasyānataḥ pravistāras tadūnaś ca na śasyate garbhasyānataḥ pravistārād tadupary api saṃsthitam // garbhasya anataḥ pravistāras tad-ūnaś ca na śasyate garbhasya anataḥ pravistārād tad-upary api saṃsthitam // prāsādaṃ kalpayec chrīmān vibhajeta tridhā punaḥ bhāga eko bhavej jaṅghā dvau bhāgau mañjarī smṛtā // prāsādaṃ kalpayec chrīmān vibhajeta tridhā punaḥ bhāga eko bhavej jaṅghā dvau bhāgau mañjarī smṛtā // mañjaryā ardhabhāgasthaṃ śukanāsaṃ prakalpayet garbhād ardhena vistāram āyāmaṃ ca suśobhanam // mañjaryā ardha-bhāga-sthaṃ śuka-nāsaṃ prakalpayet garbhād ardhena vistāram āyāmaṃ ca suśobhanam // garbhād vāpi tribhāgena śukanāsaṃ prakalpayet garbhād ardhena vistīrṇā garbhāc ca dviguṇāyatā // garbhād va āpi tri-bhāgena śuka-nāsaṃ prakalpayet garbhād ardhena vistīrṇā garbhāc ca dvi-guṇa-āyatā // jaṅghābhiś ca bhavet kāryā mañjaryaṅgularāśinā prāsādārdhena vijñeyo maṇḍapas tasya vāmataḥ // jaṅghābhiś ca bhavet kāryā mañjary-aṅgula-rāśinā prāsāda-ardhena vijñeyo maṇḍapas tasya vāmataḥ // maṇḍapāt pādavistīrṇā jagatī tāvaducchritā prāsādasya pramāṇena jagatyā sārdham aṅgaṇam // maṇḍapāt pāda-vistīrṇā jagatī tāvad-ucchritā prāsādasya pramāṇena jagatyā sārdham aṅgaṇam // prākāraṃ tatsamantāc ca gupurād ālabhūṣitam prākārāntaḥ sthitaṃ kāryaṃ vṛṣasthānaṃ samucchritam // prākāraṃ tat-samantāc ca gu-purād āla-bhūṣitam prākāra-antaḥ sthitaṃ kāryaṃ vṛṣa-sthānaṃ samucchritam // nandīśvaramahākālau dvāraśākhāvyavasthitau prākārād dakṣiṇe kāryaṃ sarvopakaraṇānvitam // nandīśvara-mahākālau dvāra-śākhā-vyavasthitau prākārād dakṣiṇe kāryaṃ sarva-upakaraṇa-anvitam // pañcabhaumaṃ tribhaumaṃ vā yogīndrāvasathaṃ mahat prākāraguptaṃ tat kāryaṃ maitrasthānasamanvitam // pañca-bhaumaṃ tri-bhaumaṃ vā yogīndrāvasathaṃ mahat prākāra-guptaṃ tat kāryaṃ maitra-sthāna-samanvitam // sthānād daśasamāyuktaṃ bhavyavṛkṣajalānvitam tan mahānasam āgneyyāṃ pūrvataḥ sattramaṇḍapam // sthānād daśa-samāyuktaṃ bhavya-vṛkṣa-jala-anvitam tan mahā-anasam āgneyyāṃ pūrvataḥ sattra-maṇḍapam // sthānaṃ caṇḍeśam aiśānyāṃ puṣpārāmaṃ tathottaram koṣṭhāgāraṃ ca vāyavyāṃ vāruṇyāṃ varuṇālayam // sthānaṃ caṇḍeśam aiśānyāṃ puṣpa-ārāmaṃ tatha ūttaram koṣṭha-āgāraṃ ca vāyavyāṃ vāruṇyāṃ varuṇa-ālayam // śamīndhanakuśasthānam āyudhānāṃ ca nairṛtam sarvalokopakārāya nagarasthaṃ prakalpayet // śamī-indhana-kuśasthānam āyudhānāṃ ca nairṛtam sarva-loka-upakārāya nagara-sthaṃ prakalpayet // śrīmadāyatanaṃ śambhor yogināṃ vijane vane śivasyāyatane yāvat sametāḥ paramāṇavaḥ // śrīmad-āyatanaṃ śambhor yogināṃ vijane vane śivasyā ayatane yāvat sametāḥ parama-aṇavaḥ // manvantarāṇi tāvanti kartur bhogāḥ śive pure mahāpratimaliṅgāni mahānty āyatanāni ca // manvantarāṇi tāvanti kartur bhogāḥ śive pure mahā-pratima-liṅgāni mahānty āyatanāni ca // kṛtvāpnoti mahābhogān ante muktiṃ ca śāśvatīm liṅgapratiṣṭhāṃ kurvīta yadā tallakṣaṇaṃ kṛtī // kṛtvā āpnoti mahā-bhogān ante muktiṃ ca śāśvatīm liṅga-pratiṣṭhāṃ kurvīta yadā tal-lakṣaṇaṃ kṛtī // pañcagavyena saṃśodhya pūjayitvādhivāsayet pālāśodumbarāśvattha pṛṣadājyatilair yavaiḥ // pañca-gavyena saṃśodhya pūjayitva ādhivāsayet pālāśa-udumbara-aśvattha pṛṣad-ājya-tilair yavaiḥ // agnikāryaṃ prakurvīta dadyāt pūrṇāhutitrayam śivasyāṣṭaśataṃ hutvā liṅgamūlaṃ spṛśed budhaḥ // agni-kāryaṃ prakurvīta dadyāt pūrṇa-āhuti-trayam śivasya aṣṭa-śataṃ hutvā liṅga-mūlaṃ spṛśed budhaḥ // evaṃ madhye 'vasāne tan mūrtimantraiś ca mūrtiṣu aṣṭau mūrtīśvarāḥ kāryāḥ navamaḥ sthāpakaḥ smṛtaḥ // evaṃ madhye 'vasāne tan mūrti-mantraiś ca mūrtiṣu aṣṭau mūrti-īśvarāḥ kāryāḥ navamaḥ sthāpakaḥ smṛtaḥ // prātaḥ saṃsthāpayel liṅgaṃ mantrais tu navabhiḥ kramāt mahāsnāpanapūjāṃ ca sthāpya liṅgaṃ prapūjayet // prātaḥ saṃsthāpayel liṅgaṃ mantrais tu navabhiḥ kramāt mahā-snāpana-pūjāṃ ca sthāpya liṅgaṃ prapūjayet // guror mūrtidharāṇāṃ ca dadyād uttamadakṣiṇām yatīnāṃ ca samastānāṃ dadyān madhyamadakṣiṇām // guror mūrti-dharāṇāṃ ca dadyād uttama-dakṣiṇām yatīnāṃ ca samastānāṃ dadyān madhyama-dakṣiṇām // dīnāndhakṛpaṇebhyaś ca sarvāsām upakalpayet sarvabhakṣyānnapānādyair aniṣiddhaṃ ca bhojanam // dīna-andha-kṛpaṇebhyaś ca sarvāsām upakalpayet sarva-bhakṣya-anna-pāna-ādyair aniṣiddhaṃ ca bhojanam // kalpayed āgatānāṃ ca bhūtebhyaś ca baliṃ haret rātrau mātṛgaṇānāṃ ca baliṃ dadyād viśeṣataḥ // kalpayed āgatānāṃ ca bhūtebhyaś ca baliṃ haret rātrau mātṛ-gaṇānāṃ ca baliṃ dadyād viśeṣataḥ // evaṃ yaḥ sthāpayel liṅgaṃ tasya puṇyaphalaṃ śṛṇu kulatriṃśakam uddhṛtya bhṛtyaiś ca parivāritaḥ // evaṃ yaḥ sthāpayel liṅgaṃ tasya puṇya-phalaṃ śṛṇu kula-triṃśakam uddhṛtya bhṛtyaiś ca parivāritaḥ // kalatraputramitrādyaiḥ sahitaḥ sarvabāndhavaiḥ vimucya pāpakalilaṃ śivalokaṃ vrajen naraḥ tatra bhuktvā mahābhogān pralaye muktim āpnuyāt // kalatra-putra-mitra-ādyaiḥ sahitaḥ sarva-bāndhavaiḥ vimucya pāpa-kalilaṃ śiva-lokaṃ vrajen naraḥ tatra bhuktvā mahā-bhogān pralaye muktim āpnuyāt // // iti śivopaniṣadi liṅgāyatanādhyāyo dvitīyaḥ // athānyair alpavittaiś ca nṛpaiś ca śivabhāvitaiḥ śaktitaḥ svāśrame kāryaṃ śivaśāntigṛhadvayam // atha anyair alpa-vittaiś ca nṛpaiś ca śiva-bhāvitaiḥ śaktitaḥ sva-āśrame kāryaṃ śiva-śānti-gṛha-dvayam // gṛhasyeśānadigbhāge kāryam uttarato 'pi vā khātvā bhūmiṃ samuddhṛtya śalyān ākoṭya yatnataḥ // gṛhasyā iśāna-dig-bhāge kāryam uttarato 'pi vā khātvā bhūmiṃ samuddhṛtya śalyān ākoṭya yatnataḥ // śivadevagṛhaṃ kāryam aṣṭahastapramāṇataḥ dakṣiṇottaradigbhāge kiṃcic dīrghaṃ prakalpayet // śiva-deva-gṛhaṃ kāryam aṣṭa-hasta-pramāṇataḥ dakṣiṇa-uttara-dig-bhāge kiṃcic dīrghaṃ prakalpayet // hastamātrapramāṇaṃ ca dṛḍhapaṭṭacatuṣṭayam catuṣkoṇeṣu saṃyojyam arghyapātrādisaṃśrayam // hasta-mātra-pramāṇaṃ ca dṛḍha-paṭṭa-catuṣṭayam catuṣ-koṇeṣu saṃyojyam arghya-pātra-ādi-saṃśrayam // garbhamadhye prakurvīta śivavediṃ suśobhanām catur-dikṣu vana-upetaṃ caturbhiḥ saṃyutaiḥ śaraiḥ caturṇāṃ pura-yuktena prākāreṇa ca saṃyutam // meruprāsādam ity evaṃ hemaratnavibhūṣitam yaḥ kārayed vanopetaṃ so 'nantaphalam āpnuyāt // triśūla-savya-hastāṃ ca varada-abhaya-dāyikāṃ savya-hasta-akṣa-mālāṃ ca jaṭā-kusuma-bhūṣitām // padmasiṃhāsanāsīnāṃ vṛṣasthāṃ vā samucchritām vimānasthāṃ rathasthāṃ vā vedisthāṃ vā prabhānvitām // padma-siṃha-āsana-āsīnāṃ vṛṣasthāṃ vā samucchritām vimānasthāṃ rathasthāṃ vā vedisthāṃ vā prabhā-anvitām // saumyavaktrāṃ karālāṃ vā mahābhairavarūpiṇīm atyucchritāṃ suvistīrṇāṃ nṛtyasthāṃ yogasaṃsthitām // saumya-vaktrāṃ karālāṃ vā mahā-bhairava-rūpiṇīm atyucchritāṃ suvistīrṇāṃ nṛtyasthāṃ yoga-saṃsthitām // kuryād asaṃbhave hemnas tāreṇa vimalena ca ārakūṭamayīṃ vāpi nānā-ābharaṇa-yuktāni hema-raupya-kṛtāni ca śivasya ratha-yātrāyāṃ tāni lokasya darśayet // uktāni yāni puṇyāni saṃkṣepeṇa pṛthak pṛthak kṛtvaikena mamaiteṣām akṣayaṃ phalam āpnuyāt // uktāni yāni kṛtvā kīlayed yaḥ śiva-āśrame sarva-loka-upakārāya pūjayec ca dine dine // dhūpavelāpramāṇārthaṃ kalpayed yaḥ śivāśrame kṣarantīṃ pūryamāṇāṃ vā sadāyāme ghaṭīṃ nṛpaḥ // dhūpa-velā-pramāṇa-arthaṃ nānā-bhakti-samanvitam citra-varṇa-paricchannaṃ paṭair vā varṇaka-anvitaiḥ // lambakaiḥ sūtradāmnā ca ghaṇṭācāmarabhūṣitam budbudair ardhacandraiś ca darpaṇaiś ca samujjvalam // lambakaiḥ sūtra-dāmnā ca ghaṇṭā-cāmara-bhūṣitam budbudair ardha-candraiś ca darpaṇaiś ca samujjvalam // kadalyardhadhvajair yuktaṃ mahācchattraṃ mahādhvajam puṣpamālāparikṣiptaṃ sarvaśobhāsamanvitam // kadaly-ardha-dhvajair yuktaṃ mahā-cchattraṃ mahā-dhvajam puṣpa-mālā-parikṣiptaṃ sarva-śobhā-samanvitam // mahārathavimāne 'smin sthāpayed gaṇasaṃyutam īśvarapratimāṃ hemni prathame puramaṇḍape // mahā-ratha-vimāne 'smin sthāpayed gaṇa-saṃyutam īśvara-pratimāṃ hemni prathame pura-maṇḍape // mukhatrayaṃ ca badhnīyād bahiḥ kuryāt tathāśritam pure pure bahir dikṣu gṛhakeṣu samāśritam // mukha-trayaṃ ca badhnīyād bahiḥ kuryāt tathā āśritam pure pure bahir dikṣu gṛhakeṣu samāśritam // catuṣkaṃ śivavaktrāṇāṃ saṃsthāpya pratipūjayet dinatrayaṃ prakurvīta snānam arcanabhojanam // catuṣkaṃ śiva-vaktrāṇāṃ saṃsthāpya pratipūjayet dina-trayaṃ prakurvīta snānam arcana-bhojanam // nṛtyakrīḍāprayogeṇa geyamaṅgalapāṭhakaiḥ mahāvāditranirghoṣaiḥ pauṣapūrṇimaparvaṇi // nṛtya-krīḍā-prayogeṇa geya-maṅgala-pāṭhakaiḥ mahā-vāditra-nirghoṣaiḥ pauṣa-pūrṇima-parvaṇi // bhrāmayed rājamārgeṇa caturthe 'hani tadratham tataḥ svasthānam ānīya taccheṣam api vardhayet // bhrāmayed rāja-mārgeṇa caturthe sthāpya badhnīta yatnataḥ upary upari sarvāṇi tan-madhye pratimāṃ nyaset // varṇakaiḥ kuṅkumādyaiś ca citrapuṣpaiś ca pūjayet nānābharaṇapūjābhir muktāhārapralambibhiḥ // varṇakaiḥ kuṅkuma-ādyaiś ca citra-puṣpaiś ca pūjayet nānā-ābharaṇa-pūjābhir muktā-āhāra-pralambibhiḥ // rathasya mahato madhye sthāpya paṭṭadvayaṃ dṛḍham adharottarabhāgena madhye chidrasamanvitam // rathasya mahato madhye pṛṣṭaṃ sarvatra kārayet paṭa-saṃvṛtam tat-paṭe ca likhet somaṃ sa-gaṇaṃ sa-vṛṣaṃ śivam // vicitrapuṣpasragdāmnā samantād bhūṣayet kaṭam ravakaiḥ kiṅkiṇījālair ghaṇṭācāmarabhūṣitaiḥ // vicitra-puṣpa-srag-dāmnā samantād bhūṣayet kaṭam ravakaiḥ kiṅkiṇī-jālair ghaṇṭā-cāmara-bhūṣitaiḥ // mahāpūjāviśeṣaiś ca kautūhalasamanvitam vādyārambhopacāreṇa mārgaśobhāṃ prakalpayet // mahā-pūjā-viśeṣaiś ca kautūhala-samanvitam vādya-ārambha-upacāreṇa mārga-śobhāṃ prakalpayet // tad rathaṃ bhrāmayed yatnād rājamārgeṇa sarvataḥ tataḥ svāśramam ānīya sthāpayet tatsamīpataḥ // tad rathaṃ bhrāmayed yatnād rāja-mārgeṇa sarvataḥ tataḥ sva-āśramam ānīya sthāpayet tat-samīpataḥ // mahāśabdaṃ tataḥ kuryāt tālatrayasamanvitam tatas tuṣṇīṃ sthite loke tacchāntim iha dhārayet // mahā-śabdaṃ tataḥ kuryāt tāla-traya-samanvitam tatas tuṣṇīṃ sthite loke tac-chāntim iha dhārayet // śivaṃ tu sarvajagataḥ śivaṃ gobrāhmaṇasya ca śivam astu nṛpāṇāṃ ca tadbhaktānāṃ janasya ca // śivaṃ tu sarva-jagataḥ śivaṃ go-brāhmaṇasya ca śivam astu nṛpāṇāṃ ca tad-bhaktānāṃ janasya ca // rājā vijayam āpnoti putrapautraiś ca vardhatām dharmaniṣṭhaś ca bhavatu prajānāṃ ca hite rataḥ // rājā vijayam āpnoti putra-pautraiś ca vardhatām dharma-niṣṭhaś ca bhavatu prajānāṃ ca hite rataḥ // kālavarṣī tu parjanyaḥ sasyasaṃpattir uttamā subhikṣāt kṣemam āpnoti kāryasiddhiś ca jāyatām // kāla-varṣī tu parjanyaḥ sasya-saṃpattir uttamā subhikṣāt kṣemam āpnoti kārya-siddhiś ca jāyatām // doṣāḥ prayāntu nāśaṃ ca guṇāḥ sthairyaṃ bhajantu vaḥ bahukṣīrayutā gāvo hṛṣṭapuṣṭā bhavantu vaḥ // doṣāḥ prayāntu nāśaṃ ca guṇāḥ sthairyaṃ bhajantu vaḥ bahu-kṣīra-yutā gāvo hṛṣṭa-puṣṭā bhavantu vaḥ // evaṃ śivamahāśāntim uccārya jagataḥ kramāt abhivardhya tataḥ śeṣam aiśvarīṃ sārvakāmikīm // evaṃ śiva-mahā-śāntim uccārya jagataḥ kramāt abhivardhya tataḥ śeṣam aiśvarīṃ sārva-kāmikīm // śivamālāṃ samādāya sadāsīparicārikaḥ phalair bhakṣaiś ca saṃyuktāṃ gṛhya pātrīṃ niveśayet // śiva-mālāṃ samādāya sa-dāsī-paricārikaḥ phalair bhakṣaiś ca saṃyuktāṃ gṛhya pātrīṃ niveśayet // pātrīṃ ca dhārayen mūrdhnā soṣṇīṣāṃ devaputrakaḥ alaṃkṛtaḥ śuklavāsā dhārmikaḥ satataṃ śuciḥ // pātrīṃ ca dhārayen mūrdhnā sa-uṣṇīṣāṃ deva-putrakaḥ alaṃ-kṛtaḥ śukla-vāsā dhārmikaḥ satataṃ śuciḥ // tataś ca tāṃ samutkṣipya pāṇinā dhārayed budhaḥ prabrūyād aparaś cātra śivadharmasya bhājakaḥ // tataś ca tāṃ samutkṣipya pāṇinā dhārayed budhaḥ prabrūyād aparaś ca atra śiva-dharmasya bhājakaḥ // toyaṃ yathā ghaṭīsaṃstham ajasraṃ kṣarate tathā kṣarate sarvalokānāṃ tadvad āyur aharniśam // toyaṃ yathā ghaṭī-saṃstham ajasraṃ kṣarate tathā kṣarate sarva-lokānāṃ tadvad āyur ahar-niśam // yadā sarvaṃ parityajya gantavyam avaśair dhruvam tadā na dīyate kasmāt pātheyārtham idaṃ dhanam // yadā sarvaṃ parityajya gantavyam avaśair dhruvam tadā na dīyate kasmāt pātheya-artham idaṃ dhanam // kalatraputramitrāṇi pitā mātā ca bāndhavāḥ tiṣṭhanti na mṛtasyārthe paraloke dhanāni ca // kalatra-putra-mitrāṇi pitā mātā ca bāndhavāḥ tiṣṭhanti na mṛtasya arthe para-loke dhanāni ca // nāsti dharmasamaṃ mitraṃ nāsti dharmasamaḥ sakhā yataḥ sarvaiḥ parityaktaṃ naraṃ dharmo 'nugacchati // na asti dharma-samaṃ mitraṃ na asti dharma-samaḥ sakhā yataḥ sarvaiḥ parityaktaṃ naraṃ dharmo 'nugacchati // tasmād dharmaṃ samuddiśya yaḥ śeṣām abhivardhayet samastapāpanirmuktaḥ śivalokaṃ sa gacchati // tasmād dharmaṃ samuddiśya yaḥ śeṣām abhivardhayet samasta-pāpa-nirmuktaḥ śiva-lokaṃ sa gacchati // upary upari vittena yaḥ śeṣām abhivardhayet tasyeyam uttamā deyā yataś cānyā na vardhate tāvac catur-yugaṃ dehī śiva-loke mahīyate yathā yathā priyaṃ vastraṃ śobhanaṃ ca yathā yathā // tathā tathā mahāpuṇyaṃ taddānād uttarottaram yaḥ panthānaṃ diśet pṛṣṭaṃ praṇaṣṭaṃ ca gavādikaṃ // tathā alpa-āgame gurau tadvat sāṃnidhyaṃ na prakalpayet // śivajñānārthatattvajñaḥ prasannamanasaṃ gurum śivaḥ śivaṃ samāsthāya jñānaṃ vakti na hītaraḥ // śiva-jñāna-artha-tattvajñaḥ prasanna-manasaṃ gurum śivaḥ śivaṃ samāsthāya jñānaṃ vakti na hi itaraḥ // guruṃ ca śivavad bhaktyā namaskāreṇa pūjayet kṛtāñjalis trisaṃdhyaṃ ca bhūmivinyastamastakaḥ // guruṃ ca śivavad bhaktyā namas-kāreṇa pūjayet bhūyaḥ karmaṇā svena pālyate // na kaścit kasyacit putraḥ pitā mātā na kasyacit yat svayaṃ prāktanaṃ karma pitā māteti tat smṛtam // na kaścit kasyacit putraḥ pitā mātā na kasyacit yat svayaṃ prāktanaṃ karma pitā māta īti tat smṛtam // yena yatra kṛtaṃ karma sa tatraiva prajāyate pitarau cāsya dāsatvaṃ kurutas tatpracoditau // yena yatra kṛtaṃ karma sa tatra eva prajāyate pitarau ca asya dāsatvaṃ kurutas tat-pracoditau // na kaścit kasyacic chaktaḥ kartuṃ duḥkhaṃ sukhāni ca karoti prāktanaṃ karma mohāl lokasya kevalam // na kaścit kasyacic chaktaḥ kartuṃ duḥkhaṃ sukhāni ca karoti prāktanaṃ karma mohāl lokasya kevalam // karmadāyādasaṃbandhād upakāraḥ parasparam dṛśyate nāpakāraś ca mohenātmani manyate // karma-dāya-āda-saṃbandhād upakāraḥ paras-param dṛśyate na apakāraś ca mohenā atmani manyate // īśvarādhiṣṭhitaṃ karma phalatīha śubhāśubham grāmasvāmiprasādena sukṛtaṃ karṣaṇaṃ yathā // īśvara-adhiṣṭhitaṃ karma phalati iha śubha-aśubham grāma-svāmi-prasādena sukṛtaṃ karṣaṇaṃ yathā // dvayaṃ devatvamokṣāya mameti na mameti ca mameti badhyate jantur na mameti vimucyate // dvayaṃ devatva-mokṣāya mama iti na mama iti ca mama iti badhyate jantur na mama iti vimucyate // dvyakṣaraṃ ca bhaven mṛtyus tryakṣaraṃ brahma śāśvatam mameti dvyakṣaraṃ mṛtyus tryakṣaraṃ na mameti ca // dvy-akṣaraṃ ca bhaven mṛtyus try-akṣaraṃ brahma śāśvatam mama iti dvy-akṣaraṃ mṛtyus try-akṣaraṃ na mama iti ca // tasmād ātmany ahaṃkāram utsṛjya pravicārataḥ vidhūyāśeṣasaṅgāṃś ca mokṣopāyaṃ vicintayet // tasmād ātmany ahaṃ-kāram utsṛjya pravicārataḥ vidhūya aśeṣa-saṅgāṃś ca mokṣa-upāyaṃ vicintayet // jñānād yogaparikleśaṃ kuprāvaraṇabhojanam kucaryāṃ kunivāsaṃ ca mokṣārthī na vicintayet // jñānād yoga-parikleśaṃ kuprāvaraṇa-bhojanam kucaryāṃ kunivāsaṃ ca mokṣa-arthī na vicintayet // na duḥkhena vinā saukhyaṃ dṛśyate sarvadehinām duḥkhaṃ tanmātrakaṃ jñeyaṃ sukham ānantyam uttamam // na duḥkhena vinā saukhyaṃ dṛśyate sarva-dehinām duḥkhaṃ tan-mātrakaṃ jñeyaṃ sukham ānantyam uttamam // sevāyāṃ pāśupālye ca vānijye kṛṣikarmaṇi tulye sati parikleśe varaṃ kleśo vimuktaye // sevāyāṃ pāśupālye ca vānijye kṛṣi-karmaṇi tulye sati parikleśe varaṃ kleśo vimuktaye // svargāpavargayor ekaṃ yaḥ śīghraṃ na prasādhayet yāti tenaiva dehena sa mṛtas tapyate ciram // svarga-apavargayor ekaṃ yaḥ śīghraṃ na prasādhayet yāti tena eva dehena sa mṛtas tapyate ciram // yad avaśyaṃ parādhīnais tyajanīyaṃ śarīrakam kasmāt tena vimūḍhātmā na sādhayati śāśvatam // yad avaśyaṃ parādhīnais tyajanīyaṃ śarīrakam kasmāt tena vimūḍha-ātmā na sādhayati śāśvatam // yauvanasthā gṛhasthāś ca prāsādasthāś ca ye nṛpāḥ sarva eva viśīryante śuṣkasnigdhānnabhojanāḥ // yauvana-sthā gṛha-sthāś ca prāsāda-sthāś ca ye nṛpāḥ sarva eva viśīryante śuṣka-snigdha-anna-bhojanāḥ // anekadoṣaduṣṭasya dehasyaiko mahān guṇah yāṃ yām avasthām āpnoti tāṃ tām evānuvartate // aneka-doṣa-duṣṭasya dehasya-eko mahān guṇah yāṃ yām avasthām āpnoti tāṃ tām eva anuvartate // mandaṃ pariharan karma svadeham anupālayet varṣāsu jīrṇakaṭavat tiṣṭhann apy avasīdati // mandaṃ pariharan karma sva-deham anupālayet varṣāsu jīrṇa-kaṭavat tiṣṭhann apy avasīdati // na te 'tra dehinaḥ santi ye tiṣṭhanti suniścalāḥ sarve kurvanti karmāṇi vikṛśāḥ pūrvakarmabhiḥ // na te 'tra dehinaḥ santi ye tiṣṭhanti suniścalāḥ sarve kurvanti karmāṇi vikṛśāḥ pūrva-karmabhiḥ // tulye saty api kartavye varaṃ karma kṛtaṃ param yaḥ kṛtvā na punaḥ kuryān nānākarma śubhāśubham // tulye saty api kartavye varaṃ karma kṛtaṃ param yaḥ kṛtvā na punaḥ kuryān nānā-karma śubha-aśubham // tasmād antarbahiścintām anekākārasaṃsthitām saṃtyajyātmahitārthāya svādhyāyadhyānam abhyaset // tasmād antar-bahiś-cintām aneka-ākāra-saṃsthitām saṃtyajyā atma-hita-arthāya sva-adhyāya-dhyānam abhyaset // vivikte vijane ramye puṣpāśramavibhūṣite sthānaṃ kṛtvā śivasthāne dhyāyec chāntaṃ paraṃ śivam // vivikte vijane ramye puṣpa-āśrama-vibhūṣite sthānaṃ kṛtvā śiva-sthāne dhyāyec chāntaṃ paraṃ śivam // ye 'tiramyāṇy araṇyāni sujalāni śivāni tu vihāyābhiratā grāme prāyas te daivamohitāḥ // ye 'tiramyāṇy araṇyāni sujalāni śivāni tu vihāya abhiratā grāme prāyas te daiva-mohitāḥ // vivekinaḥ praśāntasya yat sukhaṃ dhyāyataḥ śivam na tat sukhaṃ mahendrasya brahmaṇaḥ keśavasya vā // vivekinaḥ praśāntasya yat sukhaṃ dhyāyataḥ śivam na tat sukhaṃ mahā-indrasya brahmaṇaḥ keśavasya vā // iti nāmāmṛtaṃ divyaṃ mahākālād avāptavān vistareṇānupūrvāc ca ṛṣyātreyaḥ(?) suniścitam // iti nāma-amṛtaṃ divyaṃ mahā-kālād avāptavān vistareṇa anupūrvāc ca ṛṣy-ātreyaḥ(?) suniścitam // prajñām athā vinirmathya(?) śivajñānamahodadhim ṛṣyātreyaḥ samuddhṛtya prāhedam aṇumātrakam // prajñām athā vinirmathya(?) śiva-jñāna-mahā-udadhim ṛṣy-ātreyaḥ samuddhṛtya prāha idam aṇu-mātrakam // śivadharme mahāśāstre śivadharmasya cottare yad anuktaṃ bhavet kiṃcit tad atra parikīrtitam // śiva-dharme mahā-śāstre śiva-dharmasya ca uttare yad anuktaṃ bhavet kiṃcit tad atra parikīrtitam // tridaivatyam idaṃ śāstraṃ munīndrātreyabhāṣitam tiryaṅmanujadevānāṃ sarveṣāṃ ca vimuktidam // tri-daivatyam idaṃ śāstraṃ muni-indra-ātreya-bhāṣitam tiryaṅ-manuja-devānāṃ sarveṣāṃ ca vimukti-dam // nandiskandamahākālās trayo devāḥ prakīrtitāḥ candrātreyas tathātriś ca ṛṣy ātreyo munitrayam // nandi-skanda-mahākālās trayo devāḥ prakīrtitāḥ candra-atreyas tatha ātriś ca ṛṣy ātreyo muni-trayam // etair mahātmabiḥ proktāḥ śivadharmāḥ samāsataḥ sarvalokopakārārthaṃ namas tebhyaḥ sadā namaḥ // etair mahā-ātmabiḥ proktāḥ śiva-dharmāḥ samāsataḥ sarva-loka-upakāra-arthaṃ namas tebhyaḥ sadā namaḥ // teṣāṃ śiṣyapraśiṣyaiś ca śivadharmapravaktṛbhiḥ vyāptaṃ jñānasaraḥ śārvaṃ vikacair iva paṅkajaiḥ // teṣāṃ śiṣya-praśiṣyaiś ca śiva-dharma-pravaktṛbhiḥ vyāptaṃ jñāna-saraḥ śārvaṃ vikacair iva paṅkajaiḥ // ye śrāvayanti satataṃ śivadharmaṃ śivārthinām te rudrās te munīndrāś ca te namasyāḥ svabhaktitaḥ // ye śrāvayanti satataṃ śiva-dharmaṃ śiva-arthinām te rudrās te muni-indrāś ca te namasyāḥ sva-bhaktitaḥ // ye samutthāya śṛṇvanti śivadharmaṃ dine dine te rudrā rudralokeśā na te prakṛtimānuṣāḥ // ye samutthāya śṛṇvanti śiva-dharmaṃ dine dine te rudrā rudra-loka-īśā na te prakṛti-mānuṣāḥ // śivopaniṣadaṃ hy etad adhyāyaiḥ saptabhiḥ smṛtam ṛṣyātreyasagotreṇa muninā hitakāmyayā // śiva-upaniṣadaṃ hy etad adhyāyaiḥ saptabhiḥ smṛtam ṛṣy-ātreya-sagotreṇa muninā hita-kāmyayā // // iti śivopaniṣadi śivācārādhyāyaḥ
