Maitreyanāthakṛtā Bhavasaṅkrāntiṭīkā namaḥ sarvajñāya bhāvābhāvānna janmāsti iti / bījādvīja utpadyamāne ghaṭādapi ghaṭotpattiryujyeta / ātmakriyāniṣedhāt [bījāt] bījotpattirna saṃbhavati / pañcavidhabhūtapariṇāmadharmatā, pratītyasamutpādadharmatā / evaṃ sati śubhāśubhamucchinnabhāraṃ kenacit dṛśyeta / tattu mūṣikādantodgīrṇaviṣameghagarjanaglāna [bīja]vannotpannam / pratītyasamutpādadharmatā / tena na bhāvādutpattidharmatā // tasya bhāvasyacāsataḥ / janmādānaṃ saṃbhavati iti / evaṃ sati bhāvāsyāsata utpattau vandhyāsutaḥ gaganakusumaṃ śaśaśṛṅgañca saṃbhavet / evamasaṃbhavāt utpattirna saṃbhavati / nahyagnimadhye nikṣiptabījasya janma saṃbhavati / ucyate tu bhāvasya tasyāsato janmopādānaṃ bhavati [iti] / yathā prasannajalapūrṇasarasi śaivālaṃ padmañcotpadyate / uttarāraṇyadharāraṇibhyāmagnirutpadyate / utpattau satyāmapi ko doṣaḥ syāt / nityabhāvādutpannātmakamiṣyate / maivam / bhrānti / indriyairūpalabdhaṃ yattattattvena bhavedyadi / bālāstattvavido jātāḥ na jñeyatattvakāraṇam // [uktaṃ] laṅkāvatārasūtre / astitvaṃ sarvabhāvānāṃ yathā bālairvikalpyate / yadi te bhavedyathādṛṣṭāḥ sarvesyustattvadarśinaḥ // anyatra uktam / na cakṣuḥ sadasacca mṛtaṃ jātaṃ tannirūddha yadasti na / bhāvotpādakameveti lakṣaṇaṃ bhāvadarśinām // bhāvadṛṣṭyā khalu bhrāntaṃ yathā khapuṣpacintanam / dharmatā hi nabhastulyā / iti / ākāśasamabhāvasya śūnyatvena utpattibhaṅgadoṣamalālepāt dharmatāmātraṃ rūpavedanādayaḥ / te gaganasamāḥ / jananāntare pratītyasamāgamenotpadyante / tacca sāṃvṛt loke / paramārthasya na virodhi / acintyā māyādharmalakṣaṇatā / śālistambasūtre / [bāhyaḥ] pratītyasamutpādaḥ katamaiḥ pañcabhiḥ kāraṇairdraṣṭavyaḥ / [na] svayaṃ śāśvatato nocchedato na saṃkrāntito na svayaṃbhūhetutaḥ na phalavipākābhinirvṛttitastadvisadṛśānuprabandhata [śceti] / kathaṃ [na] svayaṃ śāśvatataḥ / yasmādvījāṅkurau visadṛśau / na caivaṃ yadvījaṃ sa evāṅkura [iti] / evaṃ hi bījaṃ niruddhyate / aṅkura utpadyate / kathaṃ nocchedataḥ / na pūrvaniruddhāddhījādaṅkuro niṣpadyate / niruddhamatrādvījāttu tatsamaye aṅkura utpadyate / tulādaṇḍanāmonnāmavat / kathaṃ na saṅkrāntitaḥ / bījavisadṛśo hyaṅkuraḥ / kathaṃ na svayaṃbhūhetutaḥ / ādyaphalasyāsvayaṃbhāvāt / kathaṃ na phalavipākābhinirvṛttitaḥ / phalasvarūpaṃ siddhyati / na hi phalena phalotpattirasti / kathaṃ visadṛśānuprabandhataḥ / evaṃ pratītya samutpannaistairutpāditaṃ phalam // skandhotpādarītirapiu / avidyayā saṃskāro vijñānaṃ nāmarūpaṃ ṣaḍāyatanaṃ pañcaskandhāśca siddhyanti / śūnyaireva yotpattistadrūpāṇāṃ svarūpakam / pratītyapratyayotpannamevaṃ siddhyā prasiddhyati // evaṃ sā śūnyatā svayaṃbhūtvā rūpaṃ samīkṣyate / sarvabhāvaḥ śūnyatā hi śūnyataivaṃ pravartate // evaṃ bāhya ādhyātmikaḥ sarvo dharmaḥ śūnyaḥ / svabhāvato bhāvo yena hetusaṃbhūtaḥ ataḥ sarvadharma ākāśasamaḥ / evaṃ bhāvo 'bhāvaḥ saṃbhavati // na kāraṇaṃ nāpi kāryam ityādinā eṣa lokaḥ paro 'pi ca iti paryantam / kāraṇena īśvareṇa kṛta iṣyate / karmasaṃbhūtaḥ cittamātraṃ vā iṣyate / evaṃ neṣyate cet kaḥ śubhāśubhaṃ vahati / tīrthikocchedaprasaṅgaḥ / tasyottara [mucyate] / vastutaḥ satyaṃ na bhavati [lokaḥ] / karmasaṃbhūto 'pi svapnasadṛśaḥ / bhāva evamabhāvatvādajo 'san tasya vai ciram / pratītyodgamakāle tu karmaṇaḥ phalavedanā // āryasamādhirājasūtre / na ca asmi loki mṛti kaści [naro] paraloka saṃkramati gacchati vā / na ca karma naśyati kadāci kṛtaṃ phalu deti [kṛṣṇaśubha] saṃsarato // laṅkāvatārasūtre / deśemi śūnyatāṃ nityaṃ śāśvatocchedavarjitām / saṃsāraṃ svapnamāyākhyaṃ na ca karma vinaśyati // āryākāśasamatāsamādhisūtre / pūrvaṃ kṛtaṃ tanna kṛtaṃ na kṛtaṃ tacchubhāśubham / sugatasya pūrvākaraṇāt kṛtaṃ tadapi no bhavet // bodhisattvabodhicittaṃ kṛtaṃ tadapi no bhavet / kṛto nirūḍhilābho 'pi kṛtaḥ so 'pi ca no bhavet // karmāṇi na praṇaśyanti kalpakoṭyantato 'pi ca / pratītyāgamakāle tu dehināṃ phalavedanā // anutpannarūpameva / iti / yadīśvareṇa kathamapi na nirmitam / kathaṃ hi loka utpannaḥ / vandhyāstrītanayasyāpi kastatra janma janayati / lokaḥ prathamato 'jātaḥ ityādi / ādau svayamanutpannaḥ pratītyasamutpanno bhāvaḥ / tasya ca janma īśvarādinā kenāpi nāvatāritam / cetanasyādāvajātatvena īśvaraḥ svayamasiddhaḥ / pratītyasamutpannasya ca janma neśvareṇāvatāritam / laṅkāvatārasūtre / saṃbhavaṃ vibhavañcaiva mohātpaśyanti bāliśāḥ / na saṃbhavaṃ na vibhavaṃ prajñāyukto vipaśyati // āryasamādhirājasūtre / astīti nāstīti ubhe 'pi antā śuddhī aśuddhīti ime 'pi antā / tasmādubhe anta vivarjayitvā madhye 'pi sthānaṃ na karoti paṇḍitaḥ // madhyānte [?] yena tarkaḥ kalpamātraṃ talliṅgaṃ niṣphalaṃ sthitam / evaṃ tu viduṣā proktaṃ vikalpādvadhyate 'dhamaḥ // parikṣamaṇo mucyeta jagattatkaraṇena ca / yogī saṃprekṣate śūnyaṃ yathā tamisradarśanaḥ // bhaiṣajyayogādīkṣeta vyutsṛjettimiraṃ ca tat / avidyātimirākrāntanetrāḥ saṃbhavaṃ vibhavaṃ dṛḍham // gṛhṇanto vāsanāvaśāt muktyanarhāḥ samīritāḥ // anarthabhrāntaloko hi ityādyuktam / kārakavedayitrādi na kiñcidasti / mokṣārthākārake paramārthabhrāntaḥ / athavā anarthaṃ bhraman bhavasindhurmāyānagarasadṛśaḥ / uktamāryadevapādaiḥ / bhāvo 'bhāvo na dvitayaṃ sadasanmiśrito na saḥ / nāpi tattadabhāvādi vicāre 'pi ciraṃ kṛte / tatpadamatidurbhāṣam / sadasadutpannavinaṣṭayat kiñcidbhāvavarjanadharmanairātmyadeśanā parivartaḥ prathamaḥ // adhunā skandhanairātmyaṃ pratipādayan saṃvṛtisatyamāśrityāha lokotpattirītim / vikalpāllokasaṃbhavaḥ iti / śubhāśubhakalpanā vikalpaḥ / tatpratītyasamutpanno lokaḥ / śubhāśubhābhyāṃ ṣaṭsu jagadgatiṣu skandhanupādāya loko nāma, vikalpena janitaḥ / salilaphalādivikalpaśca pratītya gṛhyate / janmopādānena cittaṃ pravartane / citte ātmagrahaḥ pravartate / tato 'nyadapi pravartate / tacca ratnāvalyāmuktam skandhagrāho yāvadasti tāvadevāhamityapi / ahaṅkāre sati punaḥ karma janma tataḥ punaḥ // trivartmaitadanādyantamadhyaṃ saṃsāramaṇḍalam / alātamaṇḍalaprakhyaṃ bhramatyanyonyahetukam // cittātkāyo 'pi jāyate / iti / ātmani sati parasaṃjñā svaparavibhāgātparigrahadveṣau / anayoḥ saṃpratibaddhāḥ sarve doṣāḥ prajāyante / kāye kṛtaparīkṣamātre cittamātramataṃ parīkṣitapūrvavat vidyat / bāhyaḥ skandhaḥ parīkṣyate / rūpavedanāsaṃjñāśca iti / rūpaṃ bhautikaṃ / rūpaṃ varṇādyātmakaṃ sadasadubhayānubhayaṃ hetujanitaṃ prajñaptimātram / asatyatayā tarkākṣamatvāt phenasadṛśaṃ śūnyatā / vedanā sukhaduḥkhātmikā / sā ca pratītyasamutpannā asatkāraṇā budbudopamā / saṃjñā hi na sadvastu / sā hi nāmamātram / marīcikāsadṛśī asatī / saṃskāro 'pi asadvastu, bhojanapānatṛṣṇāsukhajanitaḥ / tacca pṛthivyādibhūtapratyayena / sa ca nirvikalpo bhāvaḥ kadalīsamaḥ / tadvijñānaṃ cittamasvatantrotpannalakṣaṇam / cittaṃ vikalpamātraṃ māyopamaṃ, paramārthato nāsti / [prajñā] pāramitāyāmapyuktam / cittaṃ sadasadanyasvabhāvarahitaṃ śūnyam / citena citte dṛṣṭamātre na kiñciddṛśyate, śūnyam // evaṃ sati tathāgataḥ jaḍaḥ syāt / maivam / citavijñānavikalpanivṛttikālamātre dharmakāyo labhyate / buddhapadalābha eva jñānakāyaḥ / sa ca nāsti sa īdṛśo bhāva iti / na ca evaṃ sa jñeya iti / na ca sthātā / nāpi sthitiḥ / śavabhūtānaṃ pramāṇakṛtāṃ bālānāṃ vikalpaḥ / tathāgato hyatītānāgatapratyutpannajñaḥ abhijñācakṣuṣā sarvaṃ paśyati // caittaṃ cittavikalpaḥ / parīkṣā tu pūrvavat / phenapiṇḍopamaṃ rūpaṃ vedanā budbudopamā / marīcisadṛśī saṃjñā saṃskārāḥ kadalīsamāḥ / māyopamaṃ tu vijñāna [muktamādityabandhunā] // skandhanairātmyavijñānairātmyabhāvo vikalpaḥ / siddhaḥ / yato nāsti vandhyāduhitṛbhartṛvat // skandhanairātmyadeśanaparivarto dvitīyaḥ / nairātmyadvayaṃ saṃgṛhya adhunā prajñotpādārthamāha / cittābhāvānna dharmo 'pi / ityādi / dharmaḥ bhāvaḥ kṛtakākṛtakarāśiḥ / tatha pṛthivīdhātvādirapi / dharmāṇāṃ mūlaṃ cittamiti cittaṃ niṣiddham / caittadharmatāyāmuttaraṃ ākṣepoktikathitam / anyatroktaṃ buddhena / anakṣarasya tattvasya śrutiḥ kā deśanā ca kā / śrūyate deśyate cārthaḥ samatā sāhyanakṣarā // apicoktaṃ buddhena / saṃvṛticaryāṃ naśritya paramārtho na deśyate / paramārthaṃ tamajñātvā nirvāṇaṃ na pravartate // kiñcoktaṃ śāstre / yaḥ pratītyasamutpādaḥ śūnyatāṃ tāṃ pracakṣmahe / pratītya jāyate yaddhi tadjātaṃ svabhāvataḥ // pratītyopādāya jātaṃ yat[tat] śūnyaṃ hi pracakṣmahe / yaḥ śūnyatāṃ prajānāti so 'pramattastu paṇḍitaḥ // [iti] bahūktirnirarthikā / evamadvayamārgeṇa sarvajñānaṃ buddhasādhanam / tasya mārgamimaṃ niścitya jñānārthaṃ ya advayamārgaḥ sa svayamadvayaḥ / athavā utpattivināśābhāvena sadasannityānityabhāvābhāvādidvayapratītyabhāvāt advayajñānam / evañcādvayaṃ, tadubhayasaṃśayānabhidhānaṃ prajñāpāramitājñānam / tat jñātvā yaḥ sākṣātkaroti sa tatvajñānāt buddho bhagavān / sa buddhaḥ karuṇābalena provāca / yāvadavidyāstitvaṃ janmaparigrahaḥ / avidyādito nivṛttamatraṃ cet jñānaṃ tattvajñaḥ [syāt] iti // anādhāramidaṃ sarvam / iti / nirādhārakaruṇāprajñācakṣuṣā nirātmakam / śūnyatākārakavedakavastvādhārābhāvakaruṇāprajñācakṣuṣā nirātmakam / śūnyatākārakavedakavastu ādhāro nāsti / idaṃ sarvaṃ traidhātukamaśeṣamasat śūnyatā / sa hi paramārthaḥ / prajñāpāramitāyāmapyuktam / subhūtimavocat / rūpaṃ na prekṣate / ityādi / dvādaśapratītyasamutpādaniṣedhadharmatāyām / buddhaguṇanītabhāgīyaṃ dharmakāyaṃ śūnyatāvastu pracakṣate / tena hi prajñāpāramitā // prajñādeśanāparivartastṛtīyaḥ evaṃ prajñāṃ deśayitvā adhunā saṃvṛtāvupāyo deśyate / dānaśīlakṣametyādi / sūrye uditamatre chāyotpattivadupāya uktaḥ / prathamaṃ dānaṃ mūlamidhīyate / uktamanyatra / ayaṃ hi sakalo lokaḥ sukhamekamabhīpsati / nṝṇāṃ bhogavihīnānāṃ sukhāśā labhyate kutaḥ // dānotsargeṇa hi bhoga utpadyate / tena dānaṃ mūlamuktam / dānāni catvāri / dharmāmiṣābhayamaitrīti / rājyasvaśiraḥparyantamavaradharmadānam / [tathā hi] dhanaṃ dhānyaṃ suvarṇaṃ rajataṃ maṇiḥ muktā pravālaḥ rathaḥ gajaḥ bhṛtyaḥ dāsaḥ dāsīū priyabhāryā duhitṛsutaḥ pradhānasvaṃ, śiraḥ karṇaḥ nāsā pāṇiḥpādaḥ cakṣuḥ svamāṃsaṃ raktaṃ astimajjā medaḥ tvak hṛdayamātmīyaṃ vastu sarvaṃ dadyāt / nanvevaṃ sati bodhisattvacaryā nātiduṣkarā? kuśalopāyo hi buddhalābhakaraḥ / buddhasukhañca nistulaṃ sukham / duḥkhaśataiścaryāpi duḥkhaṃ na syāt / tadyathā ekaputravadhasamaye pitra vikriyate / cittabhyāsamātre tu nāśakathaṃ kiñcidapi / mayūrasya śarīrabhedādahiviṣamamṛtaṃ [bhavati] / viṣañca tadabhyāsāt rasāyanaṃ bhavati / ānandaviśeṣasukhajanakañca / yadabhyastaṃ tadamṛtaṃ bhavati / tena duḥkhaṃ cittavikalpaḥ // śīlopāyaḥ / śīlābhidhā ca caryāsti daśākuśalavarjitā / prātimokṣasaṃvararakṣaṇam, sarvaprāṇyupakāramaitracittavattvam, svabhoge alaṃbuddhiḥ, abrahmacaryavarjanam, satyavacanamevaṃ karomīti, apāruṣyavacanam, parārādhanam, dharmaśo vinayacaryābhāṇakasya sagauravabhāṣaṇam, pareṇātmagrahaṇe alobhaḥ, kāmacittānāmanutpādanam, yātrādya dbhuta [darśana]varjanam, ākarṣaṇaśāṭhyavirahaḥ, triṣu buddhadharmasaṅgheṣu adhimukticittatvam, sarveṣāṃ sattvānāṃ buddhakaraṇe mahotsāhaḥ // dānaśīlādinā ciramarjite 'pi puṇye yadi kṣāntirnāsti / tadā sadya eva puṇyaṃ naśyet / uktañca śāntidevena / sarvametatsucaritaṃ dānaṃ sugatapūjanam / kṛtaṃ kalpasahasrairyat pratighaḥ pratihanti tat // na ca dveṣasamaṃ pāpaṃ na ca kṣāntisamaṃ tapaḥ / tasmātkṣāntiṃ prayatnena bhāvayedvividhairnayaiḥ // iti / tisraḥ kṣāntayaḥ / duḥkhādhivāsanākṣāntiḥ parābhavamarṣaṇakṣāntiḥ dharmanidhyānakṣāntiśceti / tatra prathamā kasyādhivacanam / evaṃ- ahaṃ te anuttaradharma samyaksaṃbuddhalābhaṃ karomi bodhisattvacaryaviśuddhiñca karomi / [ityukte kaścidāha]mayoktaṃ śṛṇu / no cet jvalanmahāvanhau praviśya prajvala / duḥkhamutpannaṃ kāyo vahatu / tasyaivamuttaraṃ vadāmi / evaṃ satyapi atyantamutsahe / ahamanuttaradharma [samyak] saṃbuddha[lābha]āya bodhisattvacaryāśodhanāya ca trisāhasramahāsāhasralokadhātau agnijvālā bhūtvā brahmabhavana[paryantaṃ] svataḥ paripācayāmi / kaḥpunarvādastvaduktavanhiḥ // parābhibhavamarṣaṇakṣāntiḥ, parīkṣayā [apakāriṣu] apradarśitakopaḥ āyudhena māṃse chinne 'pi adhyadhikāṃ kṣāntiṃ janayitvā ahaṃ śata[dhā] hastacchedakamapi śirasi vahāmi taduparyapi maitracittayuktaḥ / iti // dharmanidhyānakṣāntiḥ atigambhīre yāne atiśobhane munidharme prathamato labdhe kṣaṇamapi kiñcidasandigdhacittatvam / dharmanidhyānakṣāntividhistu parābhibhavamarṣaṇakṣāntivat / dharmābhāvaścādharo 'tra viśeṣaḥ // vīryaṃ śāntidevenoktam / [evaṃ kṣamo bhajedvīryaṃ] vīrye bodhiryataḥ sthitā / na hi vīryaṃ vinā puṇyaṃ yathā vāyuṃ vinā gatiḥ // kiṃ vīryaṃ kuśalotsāhaḥ / iti / vīryakaraṇārthadarśī kenacit priyeṇa viyuktaḥ vipriyeṇa ca saṅgataḥ vyādhijarāmaraṇaśokādiduḥkha durgatau patitaḥ [api] sadā kuśalakṣaṇakuśaladṛṣṭiḥ aṣṭasvakṣanasthāneṣu mokṣakāle ca bodhicaryāṃ saṃpaśyan kausīdyaṃ vihāya dṛḍhīkṛtya vimatihīnaḥ duḥkhaprahāṇāya vīryamārabheta // dhyānam, prajñopāyāvubhau [ekī]kṛtya cittaikāgrīkaraṇaṃ dhyānam // prajñā yathā pūrvoktā // dānapāramitādikaṃ dātṛpratigrahītṛyatkiñcidanālambaṃ śūnyatayā prekṣeta / dānapāramitādi prajñāpāramitayā vyāptam / yathā sūryo dvīpān parivartyaṃ nivartate tathā // pāramitāsaṃgrahaḥ / svārthatyāgo dānam / parānugrahaḥ śīlam / gativarjanaṃ kṣamā / kuśalotsāho vīryam / malānupalepo dhyānam / paramārthasatyadeśanāṃ prajñā / sattveṣu karuṇāvyāptīkaraṇaṃ prajñārasaḥ / buddhasādhakaḥ pitṛmātṛduhitṛbandhu parivārapatnyādirājyabhūmyaiśvaryasaukhyādi [ut] śiṣṭānnavat vihāya mokṣārthaṃ vanaṃ gacchet / dānādikantu na duḥkham, buddhalābhasukhaviṣamañca // upāyadeśanāparivartaścaturthaḥ upāyaprajñayostiṣṭham / iti / prajñā yathā pūrvoktā / katham, pratītyasamutpādena vastuprajñaptilakṣaṇatā / upāyaḥ pūrvoktavaddānādikriyā / tāvubhāvekīkṛtya deśako gururnāsti cet, svapne 'pi [na] utpadyate / evaṃ sati upāyaprajñe dve, tadbhedādvaye jāte punardānādibhede bahavo dāṣāḥ syuriti cet / nāmamātramidaṃ sarvam / upāyaprajñānidarśanaṃ saṃvṛtimātramāśritya siddhyati / [prajñā]pāramitāyāmapyuktam / danapāramitā nāmamātram / prajñāpāramitā nāmamātram / traidhātukamapi nāmamātraṃ siddhaḥ / vikalpo yastathoditaḥ / ityādi / nāmamātram śūnyatā, parīkṣā pūrvavatsugamā / rūpaṃ taccakṣuṣekṣitam / ityādi / cakṣū rūpaṃ paśyatītyādi vyākaraṇaṃ bhagavatā saṃvṛtāvuktam / mithyābhimānalokataḥ / ityādi / abhimānena sattvaṃ deśakālamātrāṃ vāśritya bhagavatā varākisadṛśamuktam / paramārthastvavacanaḥ / paramārthaniścayopāyo mṛṣoktaḥ / duḥkhasatyaṃ duḥkhasamudayasatyaṃ nirodhasatyaṃ mārgasatyamityādyāryasatyāni catvāri saṃvṛtau deśitāni / darśanaṃ yatpratītyajam / ityādi / nāyako bhagavato vacanam / rūpaśabdādisamāgamakāmānāṃ sattvānāṃ prakāśayati / yena yān vividhairūpāyaiḥ sattvān vineyān vinayati, tān mocayitvā nayati; tena bhagavān [nāyakaḥ] / upacārāvaniṃ satīm / ityādi / saṃvṛtimāśritya prathabhūmyādyucyate / paramārthabhūmistu sūkṣmabuddhyaparyantā / kalpanāvikalaśūnyatāvediprajñā yasyāsti sa buddhimān / sa ca bhagavān / na cakṣū rūpamīkṣate / ityādi / taimirika iva cakṣuḥ svayaṃ cakṣū rūpañca na paśyati / sa cittadharmaśca,- cittena citte dṛṣṭamātre cittaṃ na dṛśyate / tena na bhavet / samādhirājasūtre 'pyuktam / cakṣuḥśrotraghrāṇajivhākāyamanorūpaśabdagandharasaspraṣṭavyadharmā na santi / iti / tannigamayannāha / sarvaṃ dṛśyaṃ yat / ityādi / pūrvoktamupāyaprajñobhayaikīkaraṇajñānādikamanṛtamucyate / lokaśca vijahāti yat / iti / tadaviparītaṃ tattvam / lokaḥ prākṛtaḥ yadajānānaḥ yat- cintāpadmabhūtaṃ manasā acintyamindriyāviṣayabhūtamajñānapaṭalāndhakārapratiruddhamadṛṣṭaṃ- tyajati / [sa] paramārthaḥ atitīkṣnendriyaryajñāndṛṣṭigocaraḥ / āryaghanavyūhasūtre / tattvamatyantamāścaryaṃ gambhīraṃ tadanantavat / taddhi durlabhamityasmāllokasya kila buddhinā // jñānaṃ tadgocaraṃ nāsti / saṃvṛtiparamārthasatya [deśanā] parivartaḥ pañcamaḥ ṣaṭsu jagadgatiṣu bhavasaṅkrāntyupāyo buddhalābhakaropāyaḥ samāptaḥ //
