śrīmadvātūlanāthasya hṛdayāmbhodhisaṃbhavam pūjyapūjakapūjābhiḥ projjhitaṃ yan namāmi tat śrīmad-vātūlanāthasya hṛdaya-ambhodhi-saṃbhavam pūjya-pūjaka-pūjābhiḥ projjhitaṃ yan namāmi tat yeneha sarvavṛttīnāṃ madhyasaṃstho 'pi sarvadā mahāvyomasamāviṣṭas tiṣṭhāmy asmin nirāvaliḥ yena iha sarva-vṛttīnāṃ madhya-saṃstho 'pi sarvadā mahā-vyoma-samāviṣṭas tiṣṭhāmy asmin nirāvaliḥ tam apūrvam anāveśam asparśam aniketanam saṃvidvikalpasaṃkalpa ghaṭṭanaṃ naumy anuttaram tam apūrvam anāveśam asparśam aniketanam saṃvid-vikalpa-saṃkalpa- ghaṭṭanaṃ naumy anuttaram yoginīvaktrasaṃbhūta sūtrāṇāṃ vṛttir uttamā kenāpi kriyate samyak paratattvopabṛṃhitā yoginī-vaktra-saṃbhūta- sūtrāṇāṃ vṛttir uttamā kena api kriyate samyak- para-tattva-upabṛṃhitā iha kila ṣaḍdarśanacaturāmnāyādimelāpaparyantasamastadarśanottīrṇam akathyam api śrīmadvātūlanāthasya pīṭheśvaryocchuṣmapādaugham uktvā tad anu paramarahasyopabṛṃhitatrayodaśakathāsākātkāradṛśā kramākramāstināstitathyātathyabhedābhedasavikalpanirvikalpabhavanirvāṇakalaṅkojjhitaṃ kim apy anavakāśaṃ paraṃ tattvaṃ sūtramukhenādiśanti - yatredam ādisūtram iha kila ṣaḍ-darśana-catur-āmnāya-ādi-melāpa-paryanta-samasta-darśana-uttīrṇam akathyam api śrīmad-vātūlanāthasya pīṭheśvarya ucchuṣma-pāda-augham uktvā tad anu parama-rahasya-upabṛṃhita-trayodaśa-kathā-sākātkāra-dṛśā krama-akrama-asti-nāsti-tathya-atathya-bheda-abheda-savikalpa-nirvikalpa-bhava-nirvāṇa-kalaṅka-ujjhitaṃ kim apy anavakāśaṃ paraṃ tattvaṃ sūtra-mukhenā adiśanti -- yatra idam ādi-sūtram mahāsāhasavṛttyā svarūpalābhaḥ // mahāsāhasavṛttyā svarūpalābhaḥ // atitīvrātitīvrataraviśṛṅkhalaśaktipātāghrātasya svasvarūpasamāviṣṭasya kasya cit kva cit kadā cid akasmād eva "*mahāsāhasavṛttyā*" ghasmaramahāghanataraparanādollāsasphāreṇa savikalpanirvikalpātmakasamastasaṃvinnivahaghaṭṭanān nirāvaraṇamahāśūnyatāsamāveśaniṣṭhayā "*svarūpalābhaḥ*" samastakalpanottīrṇatvād akṛtakaniravakāśaniruttaranistaraṅganiravadhinirniketāsparśasaṃvitprāptir bhavati - iti rahasyārthaḥ / mahāsāhasavṛttyānupraveśaś ca vakṣyamāṇakathitakrameṇādhigantavyaḥ // ati-tīvrātitīvratara-viśṛṅkhala-śaktipāta-āghrātasya sva-svarūpa-samāviṣṭasya kasya cit kva cit kadā cid akasmād eva "*mahā-sāhasavṛttyā*" ghasmara-mahāghanatara-para-nāda-ullāsa-sphāreṇa savikalpa-nirvikalpa-ātmaka-samasta-saṃvin-nivaha-ghaṭṭanān nirāvaraṇa-mahāśūnyatā-samāveśa-niṣṭhayā "*svarūpa-lābhaḥ*" samasta-kalpanā-uttīrṇatvād akṛtaka-niravakāśa-niruttara-nistaraṅga-niravadhi-nirniketa-asparśa-saṃvit-prāptir bhavati -- iti rahasya-arthaḥ / mahāsāhasa-vṛttya ānupraveśaś ca vakṣyamāṇa-kathita-krameṇa adhigantavyaḥ // jhaṭiti sarvollaṅghanakrameṇāniketasvarūpaprāptisākṣātkāramahāsāhasacarcāsaṃpradāyaṃ nirūpya, idānīṃ tatraiva sarvavṛttimahāsāmarasyam ekakāle pracakṣate jhaṭiti sarva-ullaṅghana-krameṇa aniketa-svarūpa-prāpti-sākṣātkāra-mahā-sāhasa-carcā-saṃpradāyaṃ nirūpya, idānīṃ tatraiva sarva-vṛtti-mahā-sāmarasyam ekakāle pracakṣate tallābhācchuritā [yud?]yugapadvṛttipravṛttiḥ tal-lābha-ācchuritā [yud-?]yugapad-vṛtti-pravṛttiḥ vṛttīnāṃ dṛgādimarīcirūpāṇāṃ tathā rāgadveṣādyunmeṣavatīnāṃ "*yugapat*" tulyakālaṃ kramaparipāṭyullaṅghanenākramapravṛttyā "*tallābhācchuritā*" tat tena prāguktamahāsāhasadaśāsamāveśakramaprāpyeṇa svarūpalābhena kālākālakalpanottīrṇālaṃgrāsavapuṣā mahānirīheṇācchuritā spṛṣtā svasvarūpatāṃ nītāḷ"*pravṛttir*" prakarṣeṇa vartamānā vṛttir satatam acyutatayā tatsamāveśāvasthānam ity arthaḥ / ity anayoktibhaṅgyā sarvavṛttīnāṃ samanantaram eva sarvottīrṇamahāśūnyatādhāmni dhāmarūpe tanmayatayā parasparavibhedavigalanenodayapadavyām eva satatam avasthitir sthitetyarthaḥ // vṛttīnāṃ dṛg-ādi-marīci-rūpāṇāṃ tathā rāga-dveṣa-ādy-unmeṣavatīnāṃ "*yugapat*" tulyakālaṃ krama-paripāṭy-ullaṅghanena akrama-pravṛttyā "*tal-lābha-ācchuritā*" tat tena prāg-ukta-mahāsāhasa-daśā-samāveśa-krama-prāpyeṇa svarūpa-lābhena kāla-akāla-kalpanā-uttīrṇa-alaṃgrāsa-vapuṣā mahānirīheṇā acchuritā spṛṣtā sva-svarūpatāṃ nītāḷ"*pravṛttir-*" prakarṣeṇa vartamānā vṛttir satatam acyutatayā tat-samāveśa-avasthānam ity arthaḥ / ity anaya ūkti-bhaṅgyā sarva-vṛttīnāṃ samanantaram eva sarva-uttīrṇa-mahā-śūnyatā-dhāmni dhāma-rūpe tanmayatayā paraspara-vibheda-vigalanena udaya-padavyām eva satatam avasthitir sthita īty-arthaḥ // ityanayoktibhaṅgyā tulyakālakathanopadeśam uktvedānīṃ pustakakathāṃ nirūpayanti ity-anaya ūkti-bhaṅgyā tulya-kāla-kathana-upadeśam uktva īdānīṃ pustaka-kathāṃ nirūpayanti ubhayapaṭṭodghaṭṭanān mahāśūnyatāpraveśaḥ ubhaya-paṭṭa-udghaṭṭanān mahāśūnyatā-praveśaḥ śrīmanniṣkriyānandanāthānugrahasamaye śrīgandhamādanasiddhapādair akṛtakapustakapradarśanena yā parapade prāptir upadiṣṭā saiva vitatya nirūpyate / saptarandhrakramoditasaptaśikhollāsātmakaḥ prāṇapravāhodayaḥ saivordhvapaṭṭakaḥ pūrṇavṛttyudayaḥ, randhradvayasuṣiranālikāpravāhaprasṛto 'pānarūpo 'dhaḥpaṭṭakaḥ pañcendriyaśaktiveṣṭitaḥ pañcaphaṇadharmānibandhako 'dhaḥsthitaḥ / tasya valayadvayaṃ jāgratsvapnātmakam unmudrya granthinibandhanam apahṛtya "*ubhayapaṭṭodghaṭṭanāt*" prāṇāpānadvayavidāraṇān madhyavartī yaḥ prāṇarūpo mahāśūnyatāsvabhāvaḥ kulākulavikalpadaśojjhito 'vyapadeśyamahānirāvaraṇaniratyayavedyavedakanirmukto varṇāvarṇanivarṇottīrṇaḥ sparśāsparśaprathāparivarjitopacārāt paramākāśādyabhidhānaiḥ abhidhīyate / tatra "*praveśaḥ*" tatsamāveśatayā sāmarasyāvasthitir saiva prāptamahopadeśanāmāvirbhavatītyarthaḥ // śrīman-niṣkriyānandanātha-anugraha-samaye śrīgandhamādana-siddha-pādair akṛtaka-pustaka-pradarśanena yā para-pade prāptir upadiṣṭā sa aiva vitatya nirūpyate / sapta-randhra-krama-udita-sapta-śikhā-ullāsa-ātmakaḥ prāṇa-pravāha-udayaḥ sa evā urdhva-paṭṭakaḥ pūrṇa-vṛtty-udayaḥ, randhra-dvaya-suṣira-nālikā-pravāha-prasṛto 'pāna-rūpo 'dhaḥ-paṭṭakaḥ pañca-indriya-śakti-veṣṭitaḥ pañca-phaṇa-dharma-anibandhako 'dhaḥsthitaḥ / tasya valaya-dvayaṃ jāgrat-svapna-ātmakam unmudrya granthi-nibandhanam apahṛtya "*ubhaya-paṭṭa-udghaṭṭanāt*" sparśa-asparśa-prathā-parivarjita upacārāt parama-ākāśa-ādy-abhidhānaiḥ abhidhīyate / tatra "*praveśaḥ*" tat-samāveśatayā sāmarasya-avasthitir sa eva prāpta-mahā-upadeśa-nāmā avirbhavati ity-arthaḥ // itthaṃ mahānayoktadṛśā sarvaśāstraprapañcottīrṇātvād avācyaṃ kim api mahopadeśasākṣātkāram ubhayapaṭṭakākārasadasadrūpadvayanivāraṇena nistaraṅgaparavyomasamāveśavivarjitam āsūtritamahāśūnyatāsamāveśam āvedya, idānīṃ yugmopasaṃhārāt kaivalyaphalaṃ tanmayatopavarṇyate itthaṃ mahānaya-uktadṛśā sarvaśāstra-prapañca-uttīrṇātvād avācyaṃ kim api mahā-upadeśa-sākṣātkāram ubhaya-paṭṭaka-ākāra-sad-asad-rūpa-dvaya-nivāraṇena nistaraṅga-paravyoma-samāveśa-vivarjitam āsūtrita-mahāśūnyatā-samāveśam āvedya, idānīṃ yugma-upasaṃhārāt kaivalyaphalaṃ tanmayata ūpavarṇyate yugmagrāsān niravakāśasaṃvinniṣṭhā // yugma-grāsān niravakāśa-saṃvin-niṣṭhā // pṛthivyādimahābhūtapañcakasyaikaikasmin grāhyagrāhakatayā "*yugma*" vṛttyudayasaṃvyavasthitiḥ / tatra gandhaprādhānyād dharātattvasya pāyughrāṇarūpeṇa dviprakāratā / aptattvasya ca rasapradhānatayopastharasanārūpeṇadvaividhyam / tejastattvasya rūpaprādhānyāt pādanetrabhedena dvayarūpatā / vāyutattvasya sparśaprādhānyāt tvakpāṇisvabhāvato dvidhā gatiḥ / ākāśatattvasya śabdaprādhānyād vākśrotrabhedena dviprakāratayaiva bahudhātvam / athavā pṛthivyapsvarūpau bhogyasvarūpāvasthitau / tejovāyvākhyau bhoktṛsvabhāvau saṃsthitau / ākāśaṃ caitad yugmāntarasthaṃ satsuṣiratayā sarvapranāḍikāntaroditaṃ ca bahudhā vibhaktam / pṛthivyādivāyvantaṃ bhūtacatuṣṭayaṃ bhogyarūpam ākāśaṃ ca bhoktṛsvabhāvam iti vā / bhogye 'pi bhoktā sadaiva tiṣṭhati; bhoktary api bhogaḥ nityaṃ vibhāti / evamuktayuktyā pratyekaṃ pṛthivyādimahābhūtapañcakaṃ yugmena dvayavibhūtyānārataṃ prollasatītyabhiprāyaḥ / athavā pratyekaṃ vyaktāvyaktatayā bahirantaratayā śāntodriktatayā vā vibhāti / etat pañcakasthānasaṃthitayugmasya ``grāsāt'' saṃharaṇat ``niravakāśasaṃvinniṣṭhā'' niravakāśā yeyaṃ saṃvit tasyā niṣṭhā samyagaviparyastatayā saṃthitiḥ / niravakāśasaṃvittvena nāpi savikalpasaṃvidunmeṣair avakāśo labhyate, nāpi nirvikalpasaṃvitsvabhāvena praveśo 'dhigamyate / ittham aprameyatvān niruttaraparamādvayasvabhāvatvāc ca niravakāśasaṃvid ihocyate / tasyā niṣṭhā varagurupradarśitadṛśā satatam ucyatā gatir keṣāṃcid bhavatīty arthaḥ / evaṃ dvayātmakakulakaulakavalanena nirupādhinīrūpaniḥsvarūpatādātmyaṃ bhavatīty arthaḥ //4// pṛthivy-ādi-mahābhūta-pañcakasya eka-ekasmin grāhya-grāhakatayā "*yugma*" -vṛtty-udaya-saṃvyavasthitiḥ / tatra gandha-prādhānyād dharā-tattvasya pāyu-ghrāṇa-rūpeṇa dvi-prakāratā / ap-tattvasya ca rasa-pradhānataya ūpastha-rasanā-rūpeṇadvaividhyam / tejas-tattvasya rūpaprādhānyāt pāda-netra-bhedena dvaya-rūpatā / vāyu-tattvasya sparśa-prādhānyāt tvak-pāṇi-svabhāvato dvidhā gatiḥ / ākāśa-tattvasya śabda-prādhānyād vāk-śrotra-bhedena dvi-prakārataya aiva bahudhātvam / athavā pṛthivy-ap-svarūpau bhogya-svarūpa-avasthitau / tejo-vāyv-ākhyau bhoktṛ-svabhāvau saṃsthitau / ākāśaṃ ca etad yugma-antarasthaṃ sat-suṣiratayā sarva-pranāḍikā-antara-uditaṃ ca bahudhā vibhaktam / pṛthivy-ādi-vāyv-antaṃ bhūta-catuṣṭayaṃ bhogya-rūpam ākāśaṃ ca bhoktṛ-svabhāvam iti vā / bhogye 'pi bhoktā sada aiva tiṣṭhati; bhoktary api bhogaḥ nityaṃ vibhāti / evam-ukta-yuktyā pratyekaṃ pṛthivy-ādi-mahā-bhūta-pañcakaṃ yugmena dvaya-vibhūtya ānārataṃ prollasati ity-abhiprāyaḥ / athavā pratyekaṃ vyakta-avyaktatayā bahir-antaratayā śānta-udriktatayā vā vibhāti / etat pañcaka-sthāna-saṃthita-yugmasya ``grāsāt'' saṃharaṇat- ``niravakāśa-saṃvin-niṣṭhā'' niravakāśā ya īyaṃ saṃvit tasyā niṣṭhā samyag-aviparyastatayā saṃthitiḥ / niravakāśa-saṃvittvena na api savikalpa-saṃvid-unmeṣair avakāśo labhyate, na api nirvikalpa-saṃvit-svabhāvena praveśo 'dhigamyate / ittham aprameyatvān niruttara-paramādvaya-svabhāvatvāc ca niravakāśa-saṃvid iha ucyate / tasyā niṣṭhā vara-guru-pradarśita-dṛśā satatam ucyatā gatir keṣāṃcid bhavati ity arthaḥ / evaṃ dvayā atmaka-kula-kaula-kavalanena nirupādhi-nīrūpa-niḥsvarūpa-tādātmyaṃ bhavati ity arthaḥ //4// dvayavigalanena paratattvāvasthitiṃ yugmacarcāgamanikayehoktvā, tad anu saṃghaṭṭakathāsākṣātkāro nirūpyate dvaya-vigalanena para-tattva-avasthitiṃ yugma-carcāgamanikaya īha uktvā, tad anu saṃghaṭṭa-kathā-sākṣātkāro nirūpyate siddhayoginīsaṃghaṭṭān mahāmelāpodayaḥ siddhayoginī-saṃghaṭṭān mahāmelāpa-udayaḥ siddhā ca yoginyaś ca tā siddhayoginyo viṣayakaraṇeśvarīrūpā / tāsāṃ saṃghaṭṭaḥ saṃgamo grāhyagrāhakobhayasaṃśleṣaḥ parasparāgūraṇakrameṇāliṅganam / tenāliṅganena sadaiva ``mahāmelāpodayaḥ'' mahāmelāpasyāhaṃtedaṃtātmakadvayavigalanān niruttaracidvyomni satataṃ mahāsāmarasyātmakasya sarvatra pratyakṣatayodayaḥ samullāso bhavatīty arthaḥ / vedyavedakadvayāprathanapravṛttyā paramādvayasamāveśaḥ sarvatrāvasthitety uktaṃ bhavati //5// siddhā ca yoginyaś ca tā siddhayoginyo viṣaya-karaṇeśvarī-rūpā / tāsāṃ saṃghaṭṭaḥ saṃgamo grāhya-grāhaka-ubhaya-saṃśleṣaḥ paraspara-āgūraṇa-krameṇā aliṅganam / tenā aliṅganena sada aiva ``mahāmelāpa-udayaḥ'' mahāmelāpasya ahaṃtā-idaṃtā-ātmaka-dvaya-vigalanān niruttara-cidvyomni satataṃ mahāsāmarasya-ātmakasya sarvatra pratyakṣataya ūdayaḥ samullāso bhavati ity arthaḥ / vedya-vedaka-dvaya-aprathana-pravṛttyā paramādvaya-samāveśaḥ sarvatra avasthita ity uktaṃ bhavati //5// ubhayavigalanena sadaiva mahāmelāpodayam uktvā, tad anu kañcukatrayollaṅghanena niruttarapadaprāptiṃ kaṭākṣayanti ubhaya-vigalanena sada aiva mahāmelāpa-udayam uktvā, tad anu kañcuka-traya-ullaṅghanena niruttara-pada-prāptiṃ kaṭākṣayanti trikañcukaparityāgān nirākhyapadāvasthitiḥ trikañcuka-parityāgān nirākhya-pada-avasthitiḥ trikañcukasya bhāvikabhautikaśūnyabhedabhinnasya / tatra bhāvikaṃ śabdādyahaṃkāraparyantaṃ tanmātrarūpaṃ, bhautikaṃ pṛthivyādirūpaṃ, śūnyaṃ nirīhākhyaṃ vāsanāsvarūpaṃ ca / athavā bhāvikaṃ ghaṭākāraṃ bāhyaṃ grāhyaviṣayarūpaṃ, bhautikaṃ puno'antaram indriyātmakaṃ grahaṇarūpam, śūnyaṃ tadubhayamadhyamākāśam / athavā bhāvikaṃ svapnāvasthā sṛṣṭir ucyate, bhautikaṃ jāgratprathā sthitir nigadyate, śūnyaṃ suṣuptadaśā saṃhāro 'bhidhīyate / itthaṃsaṃsthitasya trikañcukasya ``parityāgāt'' sannyāsāt ``nirākhyapadāvasthitir''nirgatākhyābhidhānaṃ yasyāsau nirākhyo 'vyapadeśyam anuttaraṃ vāguttīrṇaṃ paraṃ dhāma, tasmin sarvottīrṇāniketanaparamākāśe 'vasthitir sadaivāparicyutasvabhāvaniṣṭhā bhavatīti saṃbandhaḥ //6// trikañcukasya bhāvika-bhautika-śūnya-bheda-bhinnasya / tatra bhāvikaṃ śabda-ādy-ahaṃkāra-paryantaṃ tanmātra-rūpaṃ, bhautikaṃ pṛthivy-ādi-rūpaṃ, śūnyaṃ nirīha-ākhyaṃ vāsanā-svarūpaṃ ca / athavā bhāvikaṃ ghaṭa-ākāraṃ bāhyaṃ grāhya-viṣaya-rūpaṃ, bhautikaṃ puno-'antaram indriya-ātmakaṃ grahaṇa-rūpam, śūnyaṃ tad-ubhaya-madhyama-ākāśam / athavā bhāvikaṃ svapna-avasthā sṛṣṭir ucyate, bhautikaṃ jāgrat-prathā sthitir nigadyate, śūnyaṃ suṣupta-daśā saṃhāro 'bhidhīyate / itthaṃ-saṃsthitasya trikañcukasya ``parityāgāt'' sannyāsāt ``nirākhya-pada-avasthitir-''nirgatā ākhya ābhidhānaṃ yasya asau nirākhyo 'vyapadeśyam anuttaraṃ vāg-uttīrṇaṃ paraṃ dhāma, tasmin sarvottīrṇa-aniketana-paramākāśe 'vasthitir sada aiva aparicyuta-svabhāva-niṣṭhā bhavati iti saṃbandhaḥ //6// itthaṃ kañcukatrayollaṅghanena turyapadaprāptiṃ nirūpya, idānīṃ sarvavākprathāsu nirāvaraṇāsu svarabhūtivijṛmbhaiva prathate sadaiva, - iti nirūpayanti itthaṃ kañcuka-traya-ullaṅghanena turya-pada-prāptiṃ nirūpya, idānīṃ sarva-vāk-prathāsu nirāvaraṇāsu svara-bhūti-vijṛmbha aiva prathate sada aiva, -- iti nirūpayanti vākcatuṣṭayodayavirāmaprathāsu svaraḥ prathate vāk-catuṣṭaya-udaya-virāma-prathāsu svaraḥ prathate ādau tāvad vākcatuṣṭayaṃ nirṇīyate / nirāvaraṇaniravakāśodayaniruttaranistaraṅgaparamanabhasy ucchalatkimciccalanātmakaprathamaspandavikāsasvabhāvā varṇaracanāṃ māyūrāṇḍarasanyāyenādvayamahāsāmarasyatayāntodhārayantī pareti prathitā / saiva cānāhatanādasvarūpatām avāptā nirvibhāgadharmiṇī samastavarṇodayaṃ vaṭadhānikāvad antodhārayantī draṣṭṛsvabhāvā paśyantīti vyapadeśyā / saiva ca saṃkalpavikalpanivahaniścayātmabuddhibhūmiṃ svīkṛtavatī varṇapuñjaṃ śimbikāphalanyāyenāntodhārayantī madhyametyabhihitā / saiva hṛtkaṇṭhatālvādisthānakaraṇakrameṇāhatā satī varṇavibhavamayaślokādivad bhedarūpaṃ prakaṭayantī rūpādisamastaviśvaprathāṃ ca vyaktatām āpādayantī vaikharīty uktā / itthaṃ niravakāśāt saṃvitpadāt vākcatuṣṭayam aviratam anirodhatayā prathate / evam īdṛksvabhāvavākcatuṣṭayasyodayaś ca virāmaś ca tāvad udayavirāmau sṛṣṭisaṃhārau, tayor prathā vyaktāvyaktatayā sadaivāviratam ullasantyaḥ sphurantyaḥ, tāsu ``svaraḥ'' anāhatahatottīrṇamahānādollāsavikāsasvabhāvaḥ ``prathate'' savikalpanirvikalpasaṃviduttīrṇaparaviyadudayam eva prakāśitaṃ satatam akaraṇapravṛttyā prayātīty arthaḥ / itthaṃ nānābhedollāsaprakāśarūpeṣu varṇanivahodvahodayeṣu madhyāt prativarṇāntare vākcatuṣṭayakrameṇākhaṇḍitavṛttyā svasvarūpam aparityajya yathāmukhopadiṣṭanītyā svaraiva prathate, -- ityuktaṃ bhavati //7// ādau tāvad vāk-catuṣṭayaṃ nirṇīyate / nirāvaraṇa-niravakāśa-udaya-niruttara-nistaraṅga-parama-nabhasy ucchalat-kimcic-calana-ātmaka-prathama-spanda-vikāsa-svabhāvā varṇa-racanāṃ māyūra-aṇḍa-rasa-nyāyena advaya-mahāsāmarasyataya ānto-dhārayantī para īti prathitā / sa aiva ca anāhata-nāda-svarūpatām avāptā nirvibhāga-dharmiṇī samasta-varṇa-udayaṃ vaṭadhānikāvad anto-dhārayantī draṣṭṛ-svabhāvā paśyanti īti vyapadeśyā / sa aiva ca saṃkalpa-vikalpa-nivaha-niścaya-ātma-buddhi-bhūmiṃ svīkṛtavatī varṇa-puñjaṃ śimbikā-phala-nyāyena anto-dhārayantī madhyama īty-abhihitā / sa aiva hṛt-kaṇṭha-tālv-ādi-sthāna-karaṇa-krameṇā ahatā satī varṇa-vibhava-maya-śloka-ādi-vad bheda-rūpaṃ prakaṭayantī rūpa-ādi-samasta-viśva-prathāṃ ca vyaktatām āpādayantī vaikhari īty uktā / itthaṃ niravakāśāt saṃvit-padāt- vāk-catuṣṭayam aviratam anirodhatayā prathate / evam īdṛk-svabhāva-vāk-catuṣṭayasya udayaś ca virāmaś ca tāvad udaya-virāmau sṛṣṭisaṃhārau, tayor prathā vyakta-avyaktatayā sada aiva aviratam ullasantyaḥ sphurantyaḥ, tāsu ``svaraḥ'' anāhata-hata-uttīrṇa-mahānāda-ullāsa-vikāsa-svabhāvaḥ ``prathate'' savikalpa-nirvikalpa-saṃvid-uttīrṇa-para-viyad-udayam eva prakāśitaṃ satatam akaraṇa-pravṛttyā prayāti ity arthaḥ / itthaṃ mūlādhāras tu prathamapratibhollāsamahānādaviśeṣaḥ sṛṣṭisvabhāvo bhedābhedātmakasaṃvitpadārthaprathamāśrayabhittimūrtatvāt / payidharas tu payaḥ samastāpyāyakatvāt sarvāśrayasaṃvitsvarūpaṃ tad eva etattrayodhūtaṃ rasarūpaṃ tattadanubhavacamatkārasāmarasyam āsvādya svātmany akṛtakakhamudrānupraveśād vimṛśya, turyasvabhāvo mahāsaṃhārākhyo 'navarataṃ paramādvayatayā vibhātīti rahasyārthaḥ //8 rasa-trayaṃ guru-mukha-udita-dṛśā manāg īṣat prakāśyate / mūlādhāra-payodhara-ādhāra-prathita-akṛtrima-rasa-tritaya-ābhoge sati "*anicchā-ucchalitam*" niṣkāmatayā prollasitaṃ "*vigata-bandhaṃ*" virahita-bheda-prathā-ātmaka-saṃsāra-avagrahaṃ śānta-citra-ubhayavidha-brahma-svarūpa-samuttīrṇaṃ kim api niruttara-prakṛṣṭatara-āmarśa-saṃvit-svabhāvaṃ "*paraṃ brahma*" eva satatam kṣuttṛḍīrṣyāmananākhyam / tatra ca sarvagrāsaniratatvāt kṣud eva mahāsaṃhāraḥ / sarvaśoṣakatvāt tṛḍ eva saṃhāraḥ / īrṣyā dvayaprathāpādikā grāhyagrāhakaparigrahagrathitā sthitirūpā / mananā ca saṃkalpavikalpollāsarūpā sṛṣṭiḥ / etadrūpasya devīcatuṣṭayasya ca "*ullāsena*" ghasmarasaṃvitpravāhapravṛttyā prathanena "*sadaiva*" sarvakālaṃ pratyekaṃ cāturātmyenodyogābhāsacarvaṇālaṃgrāsavapuṣā svasvarūpāvasthitir pañcamapadātiśāyinī niravakāśasaṃvinniṣṭhā sthitety arthaḥ / /9 "*devī-catuṣṭayaṃ*" kṣut-tṛḍ-īrṣyā-mananā-ākhyam / tatra ca sarva-grāsa-niratatvāt kṣud eva mahāsaṃhāraḥ / idānīṃ dvādaśa-vāha-cakra-rahasyaṃ nirūpyate dvādaśavāhodayena mahāmarīcivikāsaḥ // dvādaśa-vāha-udayena mahā-marīci-vikāsaḥ // manaḥsaṃhitaṃ śrotrādibuddhīndriyapañcakaṃ, tathā buddhisaṃhitaṃ vāgādikarmendriyapañcakaṃ, etadubhayasamūhaḥ "*dvādaśavāhaḥ*" / tasyollāso 'hetukena kenāpy ativiśṛṅkhalataradhāmaniruttaranistaraṅgaparasvātantryavṛttyā ghasmarasaṃvitpravāhaḥ / tena "*mahāmarīcīnām*" nirāvaraṇakrameṇa pratyekasmin pravāhodyogāvabhāsacarvaṇālaṃgrāsaviśrāntirūpāṇāṃ mahāsaṃvidraśmīnāṃ "*vikāsaḥ*" niyatāniyatacidacitprathāvigalanena nityavikasvarasvabhāvo mahāprabodhaḥ satatam avinaśvaratayā sarvatra sarvataḥ sarvadaiva sthiteti mahāvākyārthaḥ // manaḥ-saṃhitaṃ śrotra-ādi-buddhīndriya-pañcakaṃ, tathā buddhi-saṃhitaṃ vāg-ādi-karmendriya-pañcakaṃ, nirāvaraṇa-krameṇa pratyekasmin pravāha udyoga-avabhāsa-carvaṇa-alaṃgrāsa-viśrānti-rūpāṇāṃ mahāsaṃvid-raśmīnāṃ "*vikāsaḥ*" niyata-aniyata-cid-acit-prathā-vigalanena nitya-vikasvara-svabhāvo mahā-prabodhaḥ satatam avinaśvaratayā sarvatra sarvataḥ sarvada aiva sthita iti mahāvākya-arthaḥ // ity akaraṇasiddhaṃ sadaiva nirāvaraṇapadasamāveśaṃ dvādaśavāhodayadṛśā prakāśya, idānīṃ caryāpañcakasaṃpradāyaṃ nirūpyanti ity akaraṇa-siddhaṃ sada aiva nirāvaraṇa-pada-samāveśaṃ dvādaśa-vāha-udaya-dṛśā prakāśya, idānīṃ caryā-pañcaka-saṃpradāyaṃ nirūpyanti caryāpañcakodaye nistaraṅgasamāveśaḥ // caryā-pañcaka-udaye nistaraṅga-samāveśaḥ // "*caryāpañcakaṃ*" tv anāśritāvadhūtonmattasarvabhakṣyamahāvyāpakasvarūpaṃ / tasyodayo niyatāniyataśaktisamūhāntarodito vikāsasvabhāvollāsaḥ / tasmin sati "*nistaraṅgasamāveśaḥ*" āṇavaśāktaśāmbhavodayarūpasamastataraṅgaparivarjitasamāveśalakṣaṇaniruttarasamāveśadharmaiva prathatetyarthaḥ / caryāpañcakakramaṃ ca vitatya nirūpayāmi / tatrānāśritā nirādhāratvāt paramākāśarūpā śrotrasuṣirapradeśagamanena svagrāhyavastūpasaṃharaṇāyodgatā / avadhūtā cāniyatatayā sarvatraviharaṇadṛkśaktimārgeṇa svasaṃhāryasvīkaraṇāyonmiṣitā / unmattā ca vicittavatsvatantratayā grāhyāgrāhyasaṃbandhāvivakṣayā svaviṣayagrahaṇāya prathitā / sarvabhakṣyā bhakṣyasaṃskāranikhilakavalanaśīlā svasaṃhāryapadārthagrasanāyoditā / sarvavyāpikā ca tvagvṛttigamanikayā nikhilavyāpakatvād aśeṣasparśasvīkaraṇāyonmiṣitā; -- iti caryāpañcakodayaḥ // "*caryā-pañcakaṃ*" tv anāśrita-avadhūta-unmatta-sarvabhakṣya-mahāvyāpaka-svarūpaṃ / tasya udayo niyata-aniyata-śakti-samūha-antara-udito vikāsa-svabhāva ullāsaḥ / tasmin sati "*nistaraṅga-samāveśaḥ*" āṇava-śākta-śāmbhava-udaya-rūpa-samasta-taraṅga-parivarjita-samāveśa-lakṣaṇa-niruttara-samāveśa-dharma aiva prathata ity-arthaḥ / caryā-pañcaka-kramaṃ ca vitatya nirūpayāmi / tatra anāśritā nirādhāratvāt parama-ākāśa-rūpā śrotra-suṣira-pradeśa-gamanena sva-grāhya-vastu-upasaṃharaṇāya udgatā / avadhūtā ca aniyatatayā sarvatra-viharaṇa-dṛk-śakti-mārgeṇa sva-saṃhārya-svīkaraṇāya unmiṣitā / unmattā ca vicittavat-svatantratayā grāhya-agrāhya-saṃbandha-avivakṣayā sva-viṣaya-grahaṇāya prathitā / sarvabhakṣyā bhakṣya-saṃskāra-nikhila-kavalana-śīlā sva-saṃhārya-padārtha-grasanāya uditā / sarva-vyāpikā ca tvag-vṛtti-gamanikayā nikhila-vyāpakatvād aśeṣa-sparśa-svīkaraṇāya unmiṣitā; --- iti caryā-pañcaka-udayaḥ // satatasiddhacaryākramaṃ nirūpya, idānīṃ nirniketaparajñānaprakāśāvalambanena puṇyapāpanivṛttikathāṃ nirūpayanti satata-siddha-caryā-kramaṃ nirūpya, idānīṃ nirniketa-para-jñāna-prakāśa-avalambanena puṇya-pāpa-nivṛtti-kathāṃ nirūpayanti mahābodhasamāveśāt puṇyapāpasaṃbandhaḥ // mahābodha-samāveśāt puṇya-pāpa-saṃbandhaḥ // "*mahābodhaḥ*" ca jñātṛjñānajñeyavikalpasaṃkalpakāluṣyanirmukto niḥśamaśamāniketanirdhāmadhāmaprathātmakaḥ paratarajñānasvabhāvaḥ kramākramottīrṇatvān mahāgurubhir sākṣātkṛtaḥ / tasya "*samāveśaḥ*" akaraṇakrameṇa yathāsthitasaṃniveśena tyāgasvīkāraparihārataḥ satatam acyutavṛttyā tadrūpeṇa sphuraṇam / tasmāt "*mahābodhasamāveśat*" puṇyapāpayor śubhāśubhalakṣaṇakarmaṇor dvayor svaphaladvayavitaraṇaśīlayor "*asaṃbandhaḥ*" asaṃśleṣo 'saṃyogaś cānavarataṃ jīvata eva vīravarasyāpaścimajanmanaḥ kasya cit sarvakālam akṛtakānubhavarasacarvaṇasaṃtṛptasya bhavabhūmāv eva bandhamokṣobhayottīrṇamahāmuktir karatalāmalakavat sthitety arthaḥ // "*mahā-bodhaḥ*" ca jñātṛ-jñāna-jñeya-vikalpa-saṃkalpa-kāluṣya-nirmukto niḥśama-śama-aniketa-nirdhāma-dhāma-prathā-ātmakaḥ paratara-jñāna-svabhāvaḥ krama-akrama-uttīrṇatvān mahā-gurubhir sākṣātkṛtaḥ / tasya "*samāveśaḥ*" akaraṇa-krameṇa yathāsthita-saṃniveśena tyāga-svīkāra-parihārataḥ satatam acyuta-vṛttyā tad-rūpeṇa sphuraṇam / tasmāt "*mahābodha-samāveśat*" puṇya-pāpayor śubha-aśubha-lakṣaṇa-karmaṇor dvayor sva-phala-dvaya-vitaraṇa-śīlayor "*asaṃbandhaḥ*" asaṃśleṣo 'saṃyogaś ca anavarataṃ jīvata eva vīra-varasya apaścima-janmanaḥ kasya cit sarva-kālam akṛtaka-anubhava-rasa-carvaṇa-saṃtṛptasya bhava-bhūmāv eva bandha-mokṣa-ubhaya-uttīrṇa-mahāmuktir kara-tala-āmalaka-vat sthita īty arthaḥ // svasvarūpaprāptipūrvakaṃ puṇyapāpatiraskāracarcākramam uktvā, idānīṃ svarasiddhamaunakathām udghāṭayanti sva-svarūpa-prāpti-pūrvakaṃ puṇya-pāpa-tiraskāra-carcā-kramam uktvā, idānīṃ svara-siddha-mauna-kathām udghāṭayanti akathanakathābalena mahāvismayamudrāprāptyā khasvaratā // akathana-kathā-balena mahā-vismaya-mudrā-prāptyā kha-svaratā // "*akathanakathābalaṃ*" gurumukhopadiṣṭasaṃpradāyakrameṇa manāg iha carcyate / asya akārasya (1)hata(2)anāhata(3)anāhatahata(4)anāhatahatottīrṇatayā caturdhoditarūpasya kathanaṃ vaktrāmnāyacarcāsaṃniveśanam ity akathanaṃ / tatra hatas tāvat kathyate - hṛtkaṇṭhatālvādisthānakaraṇasaṃniveśair hato 'kārādihakāraparyantanānāpadārthāvabhāsakaḥ / anāhataś cāsvaramūlollasitaparanādavisphāras tantrīmadhyamāsvarasaṃketako 'akaṇṭhakūpāntād upacārataḥ kṛtapratiṣṭhaḥ / anāhatahataś cobhayāśritonmiṣito 'hato viśrāntaśaṣkulīśravaṇagopanodbhinnaprathaḥ śravaṇayugmamadhyavartyākāśāt tattvapratibimbatattvadehato 'pi hato 'nāhatahataḥ / anāhatahatottīrṇaś ca mahānirāvaraṇadhāmasamullasito 'vikalpaḥ īṣaccalattātmakamahāspandaprathamakoṭirūpaḥ svaraḥ saṃkocavikāsavirahāt paramavikāsarūpo 'sparśadharmānuccāryamahāmantraprathātmakaḥ / tathā cānāhatahatottīrṇo yaḥ sa śṛṅgāṭakākāro raudrīsvabhāvas turyaḥ / anāhatahataś cānackakalātmakavaktrasaṃsthāno vāmarūpaḥ suṣuptaḥ / anāhataś ca bāhurūpāmbikāśaktir yāgame nirūpitā tatsvarūpaḥ svapnaḥ / hataś cāyudhākāro jyeṣṭhāsvabhāvo jāgrat / ity etaccatuṣṭayasvabhāvasyādyavarṇasya kathanaṃ pāramparyamukhayuktiviśeṣaḥ / tasya balaṃ hatādirūpatrayollasitānāhatahatottīrṇarāvasphurattārūpaṃ vīryaṃ tena "*akathanakathābalena*" / tatraivam akathanaṃ vākprapañcottīrṇam akathanam eva kathanaṃ saṃkramaṇakrameṇa nirniketasvarūpāvadhānaṃ tad eva balaṃ akṛtakasphārasāraṃ / tena saṃkramaṇaṃ ca manāg iha vitanyate / prāṇapuryaṣṭakaśūnyapramātṛniviniṣṭābhimānavigalanena nistaraṅgapravikacacciddhāmabaddhāspado daiśikavaro niḥspandānandasundaraparamaśūnyadṛgbalena kāryakaraṇakarmanirapekṣatayā yad yat kiṃ cit sarvagatātmasvarūpapratipattāv avalokayati tat tat parataracinmayam eva satataṃ bhavati, iti nāsty atra sandehaḥ / tathā cānyad vyākhyāntaram āha kathanaṃ tāvat ṣaḍdarśanacaturāmnāyamelāpakramasamūheṣu pūjanakramoditaniyatāniyatadevatācakrāvalambanena sphurati / iha punaḥ pūjyapūjakapūjanasaṃbandhaparihāreṇa śrīmadvātūlanāthādisiddhapravaravaktrāmnāyadṛśā satatasiddhamahāmarīcivikāsaiva sarvottīrṇasvarūpāvibhinnaḥ sarvadaiva sarvatra virājate, ity akathanakathābalaṃ tena mahāvismayaprāptir bhavatīti saṃbandhaḥ / "*mahāvismayaḥ*" ca vigato vinaṣṭaḥ smayo mitāmitāhaṅkāradarpaḥ sarvollaṅghanavṛttyā svarūpānupraveśaḥ / atha ca mahāvismayaḥ svaparabhedavismaraṇāj jhaṭiti nirantaranirargalakhecaravṛttisamāveśaḥ / saiva sarvamudrāṇāṃ kroḍīkaraṇāt "*mudrā*" tasyā maunapadasamāveśamayatā / tayā hetubhūtayā "*khasvaratā*" trayodaśakathākathanasāmarasyātmakaḥ khasvaras tasya bhāvaḥ sāmarasyaprathanaṃ bhavatīty arthaḥ / khasvaras tu kham api bhāvaśūnyam api svena rāti vyāpnoti svīkarotīty ādatte, iti khasvaraḥ // "*akathana-kathā-balaṃ*" guru-mukha-upadiṣṭa-saṃpradāya-krameṇa manāg iha carcyate / asya akārasya (1)hata-(2)anāhata-(3)anāhata-hata-(4)anāhata-hata-uttīrṇatayā caturdhā-udita-rūpasya kathanaṃ vaktra-āmnāya-carcā-saṃniveśanam ity akathanaṃ / tatra hatas tāvat kathyate -- tattva-pratibimba-tattva-dehato 'pi hato 'nāhata-hataḥ / anāhata-hata-uttīrṇaś ca mahā-nirāvaraṇa-dhāma-samullasito 'vikalpaḥ īṣac-calattā-ātmaka-mahā-spanda-prathama-koṭi-rūpaḥ svaraḥ saṃkoca-vikāsa-virahāt parama-vikāsa-rūpo 'sparśa-dharma-anuccārya-mahā-mantra-prathā-ātmakaḥ / tathā ca anāhata-hata-uttīrṇo yaḥ sa śṛṅgāṭaka-ākāro raudrī-svabhāvas turyaḥ / anāhata-hataś ca anacka-kalā-ātmaka-vaktra-saṃsthāno vāma-rūpaḥ suṣuptaḥ / anāhataś ca bāhurūpa-ambikā-śaktir yā āgame nirūpitā tat-svarūpaḥ svapnaḥ / hataś cā ayudha-ākāro jyeṣṭhā-svabhāvo jāgrat / ity etac-catuṣṭaya-svabhāvasyā adya-varṇasya kathanaṃ pāramparya-mukha-yukti-viśeṣaḥ / tasya balaṃ hata-ādi-rūpa-traya-ullasita-anāhata-hata-uttīrṇa-rāva-sphurattā-rūpaṃ vīryaṃ tena "*akathana-kathā-balena*" / tatra evam akathanaṃ vāk-prapañca-uttīrṇam akathanam eva kathanaṃ saṃkramaṇa-krameṇa nirniketa-svarūpa-avadhānaṃ tad eva balaṃ akṛtaka-sphāra-sāraṃ / tena saṃkramaṇaṃ ca manāg iha vitanyate / prāṇa-puryaṣṭaka-śūnya-pramātṛ-niviniṣṭa-abhimāna-vigalanena nistaraṅga-pravikacac-cid-dhāma-baddha-āspado daiśika-varo niḥspanda-ānanda-sundara-parama-śūnya-dṛg-balena kārya-karaṇa-karma-nirapekṣatayā yad yat kiṃ cit sarva-gata-ātma-svarūpa-pratipattāv avalokayati tat tat paratara-cinmayam eva satataṃ bhavati, - iti na asty atra sandehaḥ / tathā ca anyad vyākhyā-antaram āha - kathanaṃ tāvat ṣaḍdarśana-caturāmnāya-melāpa-krama-samūheṣu pūjana-krama-udita-niyata-aniyata-devatā-cakra-avalambanena sphurati / iha punaḥ pūjya-pūjaka-pūjana-saṃbandha-parihāreṇa śrīmad-vātūlanātha-ādi-siddha-pravara-vaktrāmnāya-dṛśā satata-siddha-mahā-marīci-vikāsa eva sarva-uttīrṇa-svarūpa-avibhinnaḥ sarvada aiva sarvatra virājate, - ity akathana-kathā-balaṃ tena mahā-vismaya-prāptir bhavati iti saṃbandhaḥ / "*mahā-vismayaḥ*" ca vigato vinaṣṭaḥ smayo mita-amita-ahaṅkāra-darpaḥ sarva-ullaṅghana-vṛttyā svarūpa-anupraveśaḥ / atha ca mahā-vismayaḥ sva-para-bheda-vismaraṇāj jhaṭiti nirantara-nirargala-khecara-vṛtti-samāveśaḥ / sa aiva sarva-mudrāṇāṃ kroḍīkaraṇāt "*mudrā*" tasyā mauna-pada-samāveśa-mayatā / tayā hetu-bhūtayā "*kha-svaratā*" trayodaśa-kathā-kathana-sāmarasya-ātmakaḥ kha-svaras tasya bhāvaḥ sāmarasya-prathanaṃ bhavati ity arthaḥ / kha-svaras tu kham api bhāva-śūnyam api svena rāti vyāpnoti svīkaroti ity ādatte, iti kha-svaraḥ // ṣaḍdarśanacāturāmnāyikasarvamelāpakathātrayodaśakathāsākṣātkāropadeśabhaṅgyānuttarapadādvayatayā kasyacidavadhūtasya pīṭheśvarībhir mahāmelāpasamaye sūtropanibaddho vaktrāmnāyaḥ prakāśitaḥ / tasyaiveha manāk satām avabodhārtham asmābhir vṛttir iyaṃ kṛteti śivaṃ / ṣaḍdarśana-cāturāmnāyika-sarva-melāpa-kathā-trayodaśa-kathā-sākṣātkāra-upadeśa-bhaṅgyā-anuttara-pada-advayatayā kasya-cid-avadhūtasya pīṭheśvarībhir mahā-melāpa-samaye sūtra-upanibaddho vaktrāmnāyaḥ prakāśitaḥ / tasya eva iha manāk satām avabodha-artham asmābhir vṛttir iyaṃ kṛta īti śivaṃ / iti paramarahasyaṃ vāgvikalpaugham uktaṃ bhavavibhavavibhāgabhrāntimuktena samyak / kṛtam anupamam uccair kena cic cidvikāsāt akalitaparasattāsāhasollāsavṛttyā // iti parama-rahasyaṃ vāg-vikalpa-ogham uktaṃ bhava-vibhava-vibhāga-bhrānti-muktena samyak / kṛtam anupamam uccair kena cic cid-vikāsāt akalita-para-sattā-sāhasa-ullāsa-vṛttyā // samāpto 'yaṃ śrīmadvātūlanāthasūtravṛttiḥ / kṛtir śrīmadanantaśaktipādānām // samāpto 'yaṃ śrīmad-vātūlanātha-sūtra-vṛttiḥ / kṛtir śrīmad-anantaśaktipādānām
