śrīmadveṅkaṭanāthadeśikamaṇiprajñāsarittaraṅgaparamparāpariṇāmabhūtaṃ nyāyapariśuddhyabhidhānaṃ prabandharatnamidaṃ jayati jīvitamiva nyāyavistarasya vidyāsthānasya śrībhagavadrāmānujamunivarakṣuṇṇavartmano brahmamīmāṃsāśāstrasya ca / anupajīvya cedaṃ vidyāsthānaṃ ko vibhavaḥ sapanditumapi śeṣasya vidyāsthānajātasya ? / sarvameva hi loke śrutaṃ saṃśayaviparyayābhyāmāhitapāriplavaṃ vātyāspṛṣṭamiva tṛṇaśakalaṃ na kathañcidapi pratitiṣṭhati / pramāṇaparīkṣayā tu yathāvadupapāditayā dṛṣadeva vyapoḍhavikṣobhaṃ niṣkampamavatiṣṭhate / pramāṇaparīkṣaiva ca prathamāvatārapadavī nyāyavistarasya /
tadetat pramāṇapradhānamapi pramāṇagateḥ prameyasvarūpavivecanaparyavasānatayā prameyepi nyastapadaṃ pravṛttam / itaretaravisaṃvādasaṃrabdhoddhurairāstikairnāstikaiśca bahudhā vādibhiḥ svasvacchandānurodhenānyathā cānyathā ca prameyaṃ pratipadyamānairitastataḥ parikṛṣyamāṇāni pramāṇānyapi parāvṛttarūpatayā lakṣaṇato durgrahāṇyabhūvan /
tacca nyāyadarśanaṃ prathamaṃ pramāṇaprameyādisūtreṇa ṣoḍaśadhā padārthān vibhajya tatparīkṣaṇena caritārthama / tatra prameyatvasya kevalānvayinaḥ sarvapadārthasādhāraṇatayā vibhājakatvamanupapadyamānaṃ manyamānena kaṇādena muninā kṛtsnameva prameyajātaṃ dravyādisaptapadārthaparisaṃkhyānenāsaṃkīrṇaṃ vibhaktam / tatra ca sāmānyaviśeṣasamavāyābhāvān vitathamevāpadārthān padārthayatā tathāvidhameva cānyadanyadālapatā grāhyamagṛhṇatā tyājyaṃ cātyajatā kaṇabhakṣeṇa dūramapathīkṛtaḥ śāstrapatha iti brahmasūtrakārādibhiḥ pratikṣipto vaiśeṣikaḥ pakṣaḥ /
hanta ! niḥśeṣakṣālitākhilakalaṅkasyāpyasya śrībhagavadrāmānujasiddhāntasyedamekaṃ śocanīyaṃ vaiśasam ; yat tāvadācāryapadābhiṣiktairapyarvācīnairbudhavaraiḥ kāṇādagautamīyādisāmānyaśāstrapariśrameṇa vyayitavayobhirantime vayasi kathañcidupajātavedāntatṛṣṇaiḥ śiṣyasaṃgrahaṇakṛtakṣaṇairavaśyopādeyopadeśaśrībhāṣyādikatipayagranthagrahaṇacaritārthairanādṛtāḥ prācāmācāryāṇāṃ vāgvistarā etarhi śrotumapi durlabhatāṃ gamitārḥ / idṛśoyaṃ vidyāvadhaḥ kasya vā vidyāvyasanino na dūnoti mānasam ? / athavā kṛtaṃ prācāṃ prabandhapraṇāśacintanena / asyaivācāryasya vāṅmadhuniṣyando mudhaiva kiyān na visraṃsitaḥ / sarvatantrasvatantrāṇāmācāryacaraṇānāṃ śatādhikāḥ prabandhā hāravimalāḥ prasiddhāḥ / saṃskṛtaprākṛtadrāviḍabhāṣābhistrarauśikāni kāvyanāṭakastotrāṇi, lokaśāstravyavahāranirūḍhasaṃskṛtavyatikīrṇadrāviḍabhāṣāmayāni ca caturtharāśiniviṣṭānilaukikānāmapyanugrāhakāni parīkṣakāṇāmapi sugrahasāṃpradāyikatattvahitapuruṣārthānyādarśavimalāni maṇipravālaśabditāni niyataśrāvyatayā rahasyasaṃjñitāni siddhāntaniṣkarṣaṇedaṃparāṇi lokaśreyase jātāni granthajātāni / tatra vedānte tāvat tattvaṭīkā nāma śrībhagavadrāmānujamunivaraviracitasya śārīrakamīmāṃsābhāṣyasya vivṛtirapūrvārthaviśeṣavinyāsaparibhūṣitā traikālyasaṃbhāvanīyānāmaśeṣākṣepāṇāmacalaniścayān parihārānupadarśayantī gaṅgena gaurīguroretasmādācāryavaryādāvirbhūtā / sā ca prathamasūtramātramapi yāvadasamagropalabdhapracārā vedāntavidyāvicārakāṅkṣiṇāṃ cintāvyasanāyaiva khaṇḍabhūtā paridṛśyate / vicitrāyodhanākuṇṭhaśaktau tejasvini svāṃ śakti samagramadarśayitvaiva niyatiyaiyātyenākasmāduparataṃ yodharatne taṭasthadṛṣṭe kasya vā vīradharmamanutiṣṭhato hṛdayaṃ na dūyeta / soyamasya nibandharatnasya lope dṛṣṭāntaḥ / kecinmanyeran ācāryaireva na samāpūritāyaṃ grantha iti, tadetat svopamānena sarvatra śaktiparicchedaṃ kalayatāṃ pralapitamatra na kramate / trividhāḥ khalu loke prabandhakṛtaḥ---kecidgurukulacirapariśramairanekaśaḥ śrutān yathāśrutamarthān patreṣu viniveśya prakāśayanto lokamanugṛhṇanti / athetare, ye punarjātyaiva sphaṭikāvadātabuddhayaḥ sattvaviśeṣāvirbhāvanistuṣāśayāḥ svataḥ svāntamukuratalasphuṭasaṃkrāntasarvārthapraticchandā api saṃpradāyaparirakṣaṇaśraddhalutayā gurūpadeśadarśitāṃ padavīmavarjayantaścittaghaṇṭāpatheṣu samasamayasaṃcaradakhilapramāṇatarkagurūpadeśasaṃpradāyaviśeṣā ekahelayā bhūyasorthānayatnena grahītuṃ praṇetumapyarhanti / anye tu nirantarabhajanakṛtaprasadanena bhagavatā sarveśvareṇa dūrapratyūḍhapratyūhavipruṣo niḥśreyasāvadhīni kuśalajātānyanubhavituṃ nijacaraṇaśaraṇānapyanubhāvayituṃ cākuṇṭhaśaktayastṛtīyakakṣyāniviṣṭāḥ / ta ete vyāsaparāśaravālmīkipramukhairmaharṣigaṇairapi gaṇanīyānubhāvā vilakṣaṇāḥ prabandhakṛtaḥ; yeṣāmekapratibhāsūtrasyūtāni prameyaratnāni punaḥ punaḥ pariśīlitānyapi navanavānīva prajñāvatāṃ hṛdayeṣu kamapi camatkāramāvahanti na ca kadācit purāṇacitravad vicchāyāni bhavanti / nyāpariśuddhikṛdācāryastu dvitīyatṛtīyayorubhayorapri kakṣyayoḥ hārāvalyoriva nāyakamaṇiḥ prakāśata iti tattvavidāmaparokṣam / prakṛtisiddhaṃ ca prakrāntasyāntagamanaṃ śaktimatām /
iti sūtradhāravācā śārīrakabhāṣyapravacanaṃ saṃkalpasūryodayanirmāṇakāle triṃśadvārakṛtaṃ prathayati / tadānīmeva triṃśadvāraṃ śārīrakabhāṣyapravacanamāsīdyadi, tataḥ paścāt pravacanāvṛttayastatopi hi bhūyasyo bhavitumarhanti / kṛṣṇamiśrasamāgamakālo hi saṃkalpasūryodayanirmāṇasamayaḥ /
" iti kumāravedāntācāryakṛtamaṅgalāśāsanaparāmarśane śrutaprakāśikāpravacanatatparatvamācāryāṇāṃ tattvaṭīkāpūraṇavighātāya jātaṃ syāditi cāpātaramaṇīyam / śruprakāśikācāryasya himlecchabalopamardalagnasya nijagurusabrahmacāriṇo mumūrṣataḥ prārthanayā tadgrantharakṣaṇapravacanayoraṅgīkārepi naitāvatā svakīyaṃ mahīyāṃsaṃ prabandhapraṇayanaprayatnamācāryo vitathīkariṣyati / na hmatratyamapūrvamarthajātaṃ granthāntareṇa caritārthaṃ bhavati / tadidamācāryagranthe kṛtaśramāṇāṃ svata eva suvyaktam / idānīmupalabhyamānaparyantepi tattvaṭīkāgranthakhaṇḍe ye viṣayāḥ pratipādyantu, naite śrutaprakāśikāyāmanyatra vā granthāntare pratipattuṃ sulabhāḥ /
iti prabandhopakramapratijñānameva pradarśayati granthāntarairacaritārthasya sarvavedāntārthasaṃskārasya mahāmatibhirapi sarvajñasakāśāt śuśrūṣitasya pratipādanārthamapūrvāyāḥ kṛteḥ samārambha iti / sa kathaṃ na paripūryeta ? / kiñca nijanibandhasya śrutaprakāśikārakṣaṇāṅgīkārasamaya eva labdhaprasaratāmanusmṛtya parakīyagranthapravacanamaṅgīkṛtamācāryairiti śakyamabhyūhitum / tathāca sati tattvaṭīkāgranthalopanidānamarvācāmācāryāṇāṃ tatrāpariśīlanameva, na tu granthāparisamāptiḥ /
iti nigamayannivedayati / śatadūṣaṇyapi hi na samagrā dṛśyate / ṣaṭṣaṣṭireva vādā loke pracaranti / śeṣe tu mithyaiva kimapyaitihyaṃ kalpayitvā katipaye prajalpanti / yattāvat dvaitamatakhaṇḍanaparaḥ śeṣo granthaḥ madhvamatasthena kenacidyatinā bhikṣāmaṭatā savinayamupasṛtya prārthitoyamācāryaḥ taṃ tasya bhikṣārthe prāyacchiditi, tadapi na vicārakṣamam / na hyācāryagrantheṣu kvacidapi madhvamataṃ nirasyate / tattvaviplavābhāvāt, avāntareṣu cārtheṣu naiyāyikavaiśeṣikādipratipāditasyaiva dvaitasyānuvādāt, anatipracuratayā tasya matasya lokaviplavaprasaṃgābhāvāccānāsthaivācāryāṇāṃ tatra syāt /

atra prasaktānuprasaktamācāryasya kṛṣṇamiśrasamāgamacaritaṃ kiñcidupanyasyate---kṛṣṇamiśro hi gauḍadeśīyaḥ paṇḍitacūḍāmaṇiḥ sarvāsu vidyāsu kalāsu ca saviśeṣakṛtaśramaḥ kaviśca brahmādvaitaṃ siddhantamātiṣṭhamāno vādakutūhalitayā sarvā diśaḥ paryaṭan jitakāśī krameṇa dakṣiṇāndiśamācakrāma / tatra śrīraṅgaṃ divyakṣetraṃ viduṣāmāvāsamākarṇya devasevāpadeśena vādasamaramarthayamānaḥ śrīraṅgarājasya bhavagataḥ prāsādamāsadāda / tadānīṃ tatra bhāṣāmayīrgāthāḥ sarāgatālaṃ gīyamānā niśamya tatkartṝṇāṃ ca kavīnāṃ varṇāvarāṇāmapi pratimāstasmin devālaye devopacārairārādhyamānā viditvā tatra sevāsamavetān jñānavṛddhān śrīvaiṣṇavānāmantrya 'bhoḥ prājñāḥ, bhavatāmanenāpabhraṃśapāṭhena varṇāvarapūjanena ca dūrāpoḍhaṃ veṣṇavaṃ tejaḥ / kimanenārādhanena ? / anthathākṛtamakṛtaṃ hi bhavati' iti sākṣepaṃ papraccha / yadā tairmilitairapi na kiñcidākṣepasadṛśamuttaraṃ pratipannaṃ, tadā tadātanāya taddeśādhipataye tamarthamāvedya, pratiṣṭhāprabhṛti sarva evālayasaṃskāraḥ kāryaḥ pratyagra eva iti ca niyamya taṃ divyālayaṃ gāḍhaghaṭitārgaladvāraṃ parityaktāśeṣapūjotsavaṃ ca kārayāmāsa / lokācāryaprabhṛtayaśca bahavastatra darśanaguravastādṛśaṃ vaiśasamacintitopanatamanusmṛtya durante duḥkhasāgare nimagnāstaṃ ca prativādinaṃ sarvavidyāviśāradaṃ vādāhavanavaśūramaprakampyamākalayantaḥ sabhāmabhinavāṃ kāmapi saṃgamayya tasyānarthasya kiñcidapi pratividhānaṃ cintayāmāsuḥ / tasmin mahati sadasi viduṣāṃ saṃpradāyācāryaḥ śrīmān lokācāryaḥ sarveṣāṃ sabhāsadāmavadheyavacanaḥ samarthāmabhyarhitāṃ vācamādade--- "bhoḥ bhāgavatapradhānāḥ, balavantaṃ paripanthinaṃ parāṅmukhīkartumupāyaḥ kaścidatra me pratibhāti / sa tāvaducyamāno bhavadbhiranumanyatām /
' ityāśiṣaṃ prayuñjānena 'asya kumārasya svataḥ pratibhātasamastaśāstrārthasārasya vidyāsaṃskāramātraphalo gurūpadeśo bhaviṣyati / na tu jñāne kaścidapi śaktileśa ādheyo bhavati / bhagavānapi hi devakīnandanaḥ vidyāgrahaṇāya sāṃdīpinerācāryasya sakāśe gurukulavāsamagrahīt / kiṃ cāsya śaiśava evāyaṃ prajñāprakarṣo dāśaratheriva vikramatiśayo janmasiddhaḥ / nāsau puruṣāntaradṛṣṭiviṣayaṃ prāpayituṃ yuktam /

yattu "jñātasaṃbandhasya" ityādigranthamupādāyānantaramuktaṃ śrīviṣṇucitteḥ---- "vyāptidhīgarbhānubhavo 'numānamityarthaḥ / nyāyaśāstre tu tadviśeṣanirṇayaḥ" iti, tadapi tannirūpaṇādhikṛtavidyāsthānakhyāpanaparam /
vivakṣitārthāvaiśadyaṃ vyākulatvamapūrṇatā ullokatetyamī doṣā guṇakoṭau jaḍaiḥ kṛtāḥ //

śarīrake tu "saptagaterviśeṣitatvācca" iti pūrvapakṣamupakṣipyāsādhayacca hastādīnāmapīndriyatvaṃ bhagavān bādarāyaṇaḥ--- "hastādayastu sthite 'to naivam" iti / "bhūtebhyaḥ" iti ca nopādānābhiprāyam, ahaṅkāropāttānāmāpyāyakabhūtavivakṣayāpi tadupapatteḥ / tathā ca vedārthasaṃgrahe---"evamāhaṅkārikāṇāmindriyāṇāṃ bhūtaiścāpyāyanaṃ mahābhārata ucyate" iti /
yattu---"bādhanālakṣaṇaṃ duḥkham" "tadatyantavimokṣo 'pavargaḥ" iti, tatra duḥkhātyantanivṛtterapavargatvaṃ sarvāṅgīkṛtam /
yacca śārīrakadvitīyādhyāyaviruddhamiha dvitīyādhyāye avayavisamarthanamivābhāti, tadapi tadekārthaṃ yojayituṃ śakyam / tathā hi---"na caikadeśopalabdhiravayavisadbhāvāt / sādhyatvādavayavini saṃdehaḥ / sarvāgrahaṇamavayavyasiddheḥ / dhāraṇākarṣaṇopapatteśca / senāvanavadgrahaṇamiti cennātīndriyatvādaṇūnām / " ityetāni hi tatsūtrāṇi; na tāni virudhyante, senāvanādivyāvṛttāvayavyārambhakatayā tadasamavāyikāraṇatvābhimatāvasthāviśeṣāpannaḥ saṃghātaviśeṣa evāvayaviśabdena nirdiṃśyata ityavirodhāt tāvataiva upalambhavyavahāraviśeṣādeścaritārthatvāt /
yattu jaiminīye śabdādhikaraṇe varṇanityatvasamarthanaṃ vyācakhyuḥ; sa tu vyākhyātṝṇāmevāparādhaḥ, asāṃketikavācakākāranityatvaparatvenānyaparatvāttasyādhikaraṇasya //
yacca dvitīyādhyāyānte "vyaktyākṛtijātayastu padārthaḥ"ityuktam, tatrāpi na vaiśeṣikābhyupagatajātisvīkāre liṅgaṃ paśyāmaḥ; nahyatra dravyaguṇādipadārthaparisaṃkhyānaṃ kriyate, "te vibhaktyantāḥ padam" iti pratipāditapadavācyapradarśanaparatvāt / anantaraṃ catisṛṇāmeva lakṣaṇamāha---"vyaktirguṇaviśeṣāśrayo mūrtiḥ""ākṛtirjātiliṅgākhyā" "samānaprasavātmikā jātiḥ" iti /
yaccātroktam---"gandhakledapākavyūhāvakāśadānebhyaḥ pāñcabhautikaṃ śrutiprāmāṇyācca" iti, etadeva yathāśrutaṃ siddhāntatayā svīkāryam /
yacca---"svaguṇānnopalabhanta indriyāṇi kasmāditicet" "saguṇānamindriyabhāvāt" ityatra "na śabdaguṇopalabdheḥ" ityuktam; tatrāpi śrotrendriyasya ākāśāpyāyitātvādāpyāyakaguṇasya tadguṇatāṃ paṭanailyapānīyasaurabhādivat prakalpoktamuttaram /

sāmānyadharmisphuraṇe sati apratipannatadvirodhapratipannamithovirodhānekaviśeṣasphuraṇaṃ saṃśayaḥ / yathā---ūrdhvavastumātragrahaṇe sati tadvirodhitayānanusaṃdhīyamānayormithaḥsphuṭavirodhayoḥ sthāṇutvapuruṣatvayoḥ sphuraṇam---ayaṃ sthāṇurvā puruṣo veti / mitho virodhāgrahaṇe tayorvikalpo na syāt / tata eva "ḍolāvegavadatra sphuraṇakramaḥ" ityeke, ekasmin yugapadanyonyapratikṣepasya dhīviruddhatvāt / atra "caitanyasya viṣayeṇa dṛḍhasaṃyogo hi niścayaḥ / tasyaiva bahubhiryugapadadṛḍhasaṃyogaḥ saṃśayaḥ" ityātmasiddhigrantho 'pi na viruddhaḥ; itarathā jñānārthayordṛḍhādṛḍhasaṃśleṣanirūpaṇānupapatteḥ / yugapaditi tu śaighṣamātraparam / yaugapadyābhyupagame 'pi adṛḍhatvaṃ parasparapratikṣepaprakāraviśeṣa eva; anyathā ayamūrdhvo vā sthāṇurvetyādisaṃśayaprasaṅgaḥ / yadyapyaviruddheṣvapi keṣucidadharmādimūlakavirodhagrahaṇāt keṣāñcidīdṛśo 'pi saṃśayaḥ saṃbhavati; yathā--- ātmā jñānaṃ vā jñātā veti, jñānaṃ dharmo dharmi vetyādi; tathāpyābhimānikaṃ parasparapratikṣepitvaṃ tatrāpyastyeva / asya ca samānadharmavipratipattibhyāmevāsādhāraṇakāraṇābhyāmadharmādisahitābhyāṃ yathāsaṃbhavamudbhavaḥ / taduktaṃ tattvaratnākare--- "kaścaiṣa saṃśayaḥ katividhaśca? ekasmin dharmiṇi viruddhānekaviśeṣāvabhāsaḥ saṃśayaḥ / sa ca dvividhaḥ---" ityādinā / tatra samānadharmaḥ sādhāraṇo dharmaḥ / tajjanito yathā---ūrdhvatvāviśeṣāt sthāṇurvā puruṣo veti / agṛhyamāṇabalatāratamyaviruddhānekajñāpakopasthāpanamiha vipratipattiḥ / sā ca sajātīyavijātīyābhāsarūpadvitricaturādijñāpakabhedādbahuprakārā / pratyakṣatadābhāsavipratipatteḥ saṃśayo yathā--- cakṣuṣā samukhaṃ pratibhāti darpaṇatalam, sparśanena tvanyathā; kimidaṃ samukhaṃ nirmukhaṃ veti / anumānatadābhāsavipratipatteryathā--- dhūmavattvāt parvato 'gnimān, nirālokatvādanagnirityatra sāgniranagnirveti / śrutivipratipatteryathā---bhedābhedavyapadeśābhyāṃ jīvo brahmaṇo bhinno 'bhinno vetyādi / vādivipratipatteryathā---vaiśeṣikaupaniṣadavākyadvayaśrāviṇo madhyasthabuddheḥ kimindriyāṇi bhautikāni, āhaṅkārikāṇi veti /
kecittu vipratipattiśabdamātre muhyanto vādivipratipattimeva vipratipattiṃ manyante, tadayuktam, viśeṣābhāvāt //
asādhāraṇadharmādapi kecit saṃśayamāhuḥ; yathā---gandhavattvāt pṛthivī nityā anityā vetyādi / atra gandhavattvasya nityātmādivyāvṛtteḥ kṛtakatvādivadanityatvasmārakatvam, anityābādivyāvṛtterniravayavatvādivannityatvasmārakatvamiti viruddhaviśeṣadvayānvitasamānadharmasyeva tadubhayavyāvṛttāsādhāraṇadharmasyāpi saṃśayahetutvamupapannamiti, tadayuktam; na hi tatra gandhavattvādinā saṃśayotpattiḥ, api tu vyatirekanirūpaṇavilambāprāgeva gandhādiviśiṣṭadravyasya nityānityasādhāraṇatayā bhāsamānairdravyatvādibhireva / tatrānyataraśironirṇinīṣayā viśeṣakadharmacintāyāṃ tu gandhavattvamubhayānanvitatvādubhayorapyaniṣkarṣamityetāvadeva cintyate / kevalavyatirekibhaṅge caitadviśadaṃ bhaviṣyati / gandhavattvāt pṛthivī nityā vā anityā veti tu yadā kaścidvyavaharet, tatrāpi gandhavattvaṃ nityatvānityatvayoranyatarasya prayojakaṃ na vā ityeva saṃdehaḥ /
punaścāyaṃ dvitricaturādiśirodhikaraṇabhedādbahuvidhaḥ; yathā--- ayaṃ sthāṇurvā puruṣo veti, ghaṭaḥ satyo 'satyo nirvacanīyo 'nirvacanīyo vetyādi / tathā imau sthāṇū vā puruṣau vā, ete padārthāḥ satyā asatyā nirvacanīyā anirvacanīyā vetyādi / yastu dvayoranyatarasya coratve siddhe ayaṃ coraḥ ayaṃ vā cora iti saṃdehaḥ, sa tu ayaṃ coro na vā ityevaṃrūpasaṃśayadvayasamāhāraḥ /
punardvividho 'yam--- anyatarakoṭipariśeṣayogyatvatadayogyatvabhedāt / pūrvo yathā--sthāṇvātmake vastuni sthāṇuḥ puruṣo veti /
punarapi imau saṃśayaviparyayau sāmānyadharmiṇo viśeṣāṇāṃ cānubhūyamānatvasmaryamāṇatvādibhedāt bahuvidhāvūhanīyāviti //

yattu "mattaḥ smṛtijñārnamapohanaṃ ca" ityatra bhāṣyam--- "jñānamindriyaliṅgāgamayogajo vastuniścayaḥ" iti, tatrāpi yogajasya pratyakṣasya prādhānyāt pṛthagvyapadeśaḥ /
yadyapi smṛtirapi yathārthā pramāṇamiti vakṣyate, tathāpi pratyakṣādimūlatayā tadaviśeṣāt pṛthaganuktiḥ / uktaṃ ca tattvaratnākare --- "pratyakṣādimūlānāṃ smṛtīnāṃ svasvamūle 'ntarbhāvavivakṣayā pramāṇatritvāvirodhaḥ /

ata eva kudṛṣṭīnāṃ sanmātragrāhi pratyakṣamityavilakṣajalpitaṃ nirastam / kramayaugapadyādidūṣaṇaṃ tu bhrāntivikalpe 'pi samānam / bhrāntirūpo 'pi hi vikalpaḥ kṣaṇikatvānna viramya vyāpartumalam / na ca pūrvajñānavārtāṃ jānāti / na ca svayaṃ dharmipratiyogigrahaṇābhāve bhedagrahaṇaṃ manyase / tathāpi yadi kalpanā bhedaviśiṣṭaṃ yugapadgṛhṇāti, kā pratyakṣe sarpamṛtiḥ ? ato dharmivadyogyatvājjātyādirūpabhedo 'pi yugapadgrāhyeḥ / abheda iva bhedo 'pi svarūpataḥ pratītau na pratiyogisākāṅkṣaḥ; bhedavyavahārastvabhedavyavahāravat tatsākāṅkṣa / ataḥ prathamameva bhedadhīryuktā /

śabdajanyamapi pratyakṣamastīti ta eva varṇayanti; tadapyayuktam, vyāghātāt / na hi parokṣajananasvabhāvatayā siddhā sāmagrī viśeṣābhāve kvacit svabhāvamatipatet / na caikajātīyasāmagrītaḥ prasūtaṃ kāryaṃ vicitraṃ syāt, ekayaivava sāmagryā sarvajātīyotpattiprasaṅgāt ekasya kāryasya viruddhajātiyogaprasaṅgācca / "daśamastvamasi" ityādidṛṣṭānte 'pi tvamarthamātraṃ pratyakṣam / 'daśamo 'ham' iti pratyayo hi nendriyasvātantryeṇodeti, kintu puruṣavacanānurodhena / tanmūle 'pi cet pratyakṣatā, evam 'dharmavāṃstvamasi' iti kārtāntikopadeśādau 'tādṛśo 'hamasmi' iti bodhe dharmāderapi pratyakṣatvaprasaṅgaḥ / tataścāpratyakṣamiti jagati kiñcinna syāt, pratyakṣabhūtaṃ yatkiñciduddiśya viśeṣaṇatayaiva sarvasya pratyakṣatvopapatteḥ / pūrvāvagatadaśamabhāvaṃ tu puruṣaṃ pratyupadeśe bhāṣarāśipraviṣṭamaṣīnyāyena pūrvāparāparokṣaṇīnairantaryeṇa madhyavartiśabdajanyadhiyo 'parokṣatvavyavahāraḥ kasyacit syādvā na vā /

na ca smṛtiḥ; apūrvaviṣayatvāt / padasaṃdohaviśeṣo vākyam / prāmāṇikapadavyavahāraviṣayaḥ padam / tasya suptiṅantatvādikalpanayāpi vyaktiḥ kriyate / ata eva hyanyathānyathā prakṛtipratyayādikaṃ vyākaraṇāntareṣu kalpyate / tacca na sāṃketikam; saṃketayitṛpuruṣāsaṃbhavāt / ata eva na bhāṣāntaravat tatklaptiḥ, nityavedagatatvācca /

na ca gauṇalākṣaṇikaprayogayoravācyaviṣayatvādavācyatvam / saṃbandhasādṛśyamātrapravṛttepyanāditvāt / tata eva vivakṣitasthale yathaucityaṃ prayogopapatteḥ / etāḥ sarvā api vṛttayaḥ anvitābhidhānavṛttyantarbhūtāḥ / pṛthakpadānāṃ smārakatvameva / abhihitānvaye hi padānāṃ padārthe padārthānāṃ vāvayārthe padānāṃ ca tatreti śaktitrayakalpanāgāraivaṃ syāt, vākyārthasyāśābdatvaprasaṅgo vā /

bhāṣyepi prathamasūtrapūrvapakṣanirākaraṇe--- "evaṃ kila laukikāḥ śabdārthasaṃbandhamavadhārayanti---mātāpitṛprabhṛtibhiḥ ambātātamātulādīn" ityādinā padavyutpattiḥ pūrvamupapāditā / tatra ca "teṣu teṣvartheṣu teṣāṃ śabdānāṃ prayogo bodhakatvanibandhanaḥ iti niścinvanti" ityādyuktam /

atastvaccharīrakaṃ brahmeti vivakṣāyāṃ satyāṃ tvaṃ taditi nirdeśamātramupapannam / madhyamapuruṣaśca tvaṃśabdaprayoganibandhanaḥ, "yuṣmadyupapade samānādhikaraṇe sthāninyapi madhyamaḥ" iti vidhānāt / ataḥ sopi tvaṃśabdaparyavasānaviṣayaparyavasitaḥ / yadvā tat tvamasītyevānvayostu / na coddeśyānuguṇā tiṅvibhaktiriti niyamaḥ, upādeyānuguṇaliṅgavacanādinirdeśavadatrāpi virodhābhāvāt / prayuñjate ca patañjaliprabhṛtaya upādeyānuguṇāmapi tiṅvibhaktim--- "sa punarāvṛttaḥ suvarṇapiṇḍaḥ khadirāṅgārasavarṇe kuṇḍale bhavataḥ" ityādiṣu / etena "ahaṃ brahmāsmi" ityādikamapi nirvyūḍham / "jīvenātmānā" ityatrāpyanena nyāyena svaśabdaparyāyeṇātmaśabdena jīvaśabdasya sāmānādhikaraṇyaṃ tāvat siddham /

nyā. pa. śa. 21 api ca bāhyāgamapratibandiḥ kiṃ vadeprāmāṇyamāptaprāmāṇyanibandhanamitīcchadbhirvaiśeṣikādibhirucyate ? uta saugatādyāgamaprāmāṇyamicchadbhiḥ ? atha vā parityaktāśeṣapāralaukikāgamairlokāyatikaiḥ ? iti / nādyaḥ, riśvarakṛtatvepi vedasyaivaṃvidhaparigrahaviśeṣamantareṇādyatanarebāhyāgamebhyo (?) vivekasyāśakyatvāt, sarvajñapraṇītatvādyabhimānasya tadanumānaprakriyāyāśca sarvatra durvāratvāt /
nyā. pa. śa. 22 ata eva hi prekṣāvantaraścoditeṣu bahuvittavyayāyāsasādhyeṣu niśaṅkaṃ pravartante, pratiṣiddheṣu ca sukhatareṣvapi viṣasaṃsṛṣṭānnabhojanādivannivartante / prayogaśca---pāralaukikī mahājanapravṛttiḥ saphalā, prekṣāvatpravṛttitvāt, kṛṣyādipravṛttivat; na hyanantaiḥprekṣāvadbhiravisaṃvādenāphalamanuṣṭhīyate iti śaṅkituṃ śakyam / duḥkharūphaladarśanena siddhasādhanateti cenna, anabhipretopālambhāt, pravṛttiduḥkhādadhikapuruṣārthaparyavasānasya siṣādhayiṣitatvāt / tathāpi lābhapūjākhyātirūpadṛṣṭaprayojanenaiva sārthateti cet, tadapyasat, ataduddeśena teṣāṃ pravṛttidarśanāt, taduddeśena pravṛtteśca ḍāmbhikatvena śāstraistanniṣṭhaiśca vigarhaṇāt / ye ca taduddeśena pravartante, tepyataduddeśena pravṛttānāmanukurvāṇā eva khyātyādi prāpnuvanti, anyathā khyātilābhapūjādernirnimittatvaprasaṅgāt / na hi yatkiñcidanena kṛtamiti matvā kaścit kṛcchrasaṃpāditān dhanādīn dadāti, pūjayati, guṇānvā āropya stauti; api tu kutaścit pramāṇāt siddhaṃ praśastācaraṇamabhimatyaiva / samarasāmarthyādimūlalābha jādikamapyantatorthaśāstrādimūlapraśastapravṛttiprasūtam / ataḥ sanmaryādāpravṛttān dānamānādibhirabhyarcayantoṣpadṛṣṭabuddhyaiva pravartante / janarañjanārthameva dānādi, jano dātari mānayitari ca rajyate, "janānurāgaprabhavāśca saṃpadaḥ" iti prasiddheḥ, iti cenna, pratyupakārādyanarhapravrajitatapasvijaḍāndhabadhiradīnānāthādiṣu dānamānādibhiranurañjiteṣvapi tanmūladṛṣṭasaṃpatprasaṅgābhāvāt; ata eva hi nītinarmasaciveṣveva tadarthadānādivyavasthāpanam /
nyā. pa. śa. 23 vedānityatvānumānānāṃ pratiprayogāśca---parvāparakalpāḥ etadvedasandarbhapāṭhavantaḥ, kalpatvāt, adyatanakalpavat / aiśvaraṃ vedapravartanamapracyutaprācīnasandarbham, āptakartṛkavedapravartanarūpatvāt, adyatananipuṇopādhyāyavedapravartanavat; na cāśrayādyasiddhiḥ, pauruṣeyatvepi prāmāṇyamicchatastata eva tatsiddheḥ / aprāmāṇyamicchatopi mahājanaparigrahānyathānupapattyaiva prāmāṇyaṃ prasādhya tata eva tatsādhanāt / na cāsti vedapravartanasya sārasvatapāṭhenānaikāntyam, tathaiva tatpravāhasya tattacchākhāpraṇayanavadanāditvāt, mantrabrāhmaṇādivākyasvarūpavaiyākulīvirahācceti / evaṃvipakṣe bādhakābhāvādeva kevalavyatirekyapi nirastaḥ, anumānādhyāye tasya sāmānyato dūṣitatvācca / tvanmatepyāyurvedādisapakṣasadbhāvena tasyāsādhāraṇyam; nahi tebhyo vyāvṛttamapauruṣeyatvādilakṣaṇaṃ vedatvaṃ tvayābhyupagamyate / vedaśabdaprayogaviṣayatāmātreṇa teṣāmapi pakṣīkāre svecchāgṛhītarūpasyeśvarasya tattadavatārasaṃvyavahārā vedavyatiriktāḥ santi sapakṣāḥ / na ca te tvayāpi neṣyante, vedatayā vā svīkriyante, gītādiṣu bhagavaduktyaṃśānāṃ śrīviṣṇusmṛtiprabhṛtīnāṃ ca vedatvānabhyupagamāt / dharmaśāstratayaiva hi vaiṣṇavasmṛtyādiprasiddhiḥ / avaktṛkasandarbhā vedāḥ, vedatvāt, yaḥ sakartṛkasandarbhaḥ, nāsau vedaḥ, iti pratihetuśca siddhaḥ / aprasiddhaviśeṣaṇatvādicodyaṃ tviha na tvayā smartavyam / sandarbhaḥ kathamavavatṛkaḥ syāditi cenna, varṇakramaniyamamātraviśeṣasya sandarbhaśabdena grahaṇāt,tasya ca prāguktanayena yathāpūrvapravartanamātreṇāpi vyavasthānāt / mābhūdavītahetuḥ / vītastu syāt vigītaṃ vākyaṃ sarvajñapraṇītaṃ, pramāṇatve satyalaukikārthaviṣayavākyatvāt, "na tvevāhaṃ jātu nāsam" ityādivākyavat, iti cenna, vedārthaviṣayaiḥ kalpasūtrakārādivākyairasmadādivākyaireva vānaikāntyāt / atīvakartṛkatve satīti viśeṣayiṣyāmaḥ iti cenna, tathāpi yathāpūrvapraṇayanamātreṇāpi tatpraṇītatvasiddhau siddhasādhanāt / yathāpūrvameva hi viśvamīśvaraḥ sṛjati; yathā adhīmahe--- "sūryācandramasau dhātā yathāpūrvamakalpayat" iti /
nyā. pa. śa. 24 tathāpi sargapralayasaṃbhavāt saṃpradāyavicchede sarvavedocchedāt paścādīśvarastatsraṣṭā syāt / na syāt, tathāpi prācīnavedasākṣātkāriṇastasya tatpravartanamātraucityāt, śaktasyāpi tajjātīyavedāntarakalpane gauravāt, śaktāvapi siddhopajīvanasyāsmadādiṣu dṛṣṭeḥ, eṣāmeva ca mantrāṇāṃ kalpāntarepi mantratvāvirodhāt / evaṃ mantranityatve ca tulyanyāyatayā brāhmaṇanityatvasyāpi dustyajatvāt, taddṛṣṭāntena vā tannityatvasādhanāt / sārasvatapāṭhādāvapi mantrādisvarūpabhedābhāvasyoktatvāt / "yā brahmāṇaṃ vidadhāti pūrvaṃ yo vai vedāṃśca prahiṇoti tasmai / " "vācāvirūpanityayā""pūrve pūrvebhyo vaca etadūcuḥ" "ajān ha vai praśnīṃstapasyamānāt brahma svayaṃ bhyabhyānar ṣat ta ṛṣayobhavan tadṛṣīṇāmṛṣitvam" "anādinidhanā hyeṣā vāgutsṛṣṭā svayaṃbhuvā" "vyasya vedaṃ sanātanam" ityādibhirīśvarasyāpyanīśvaravadvedapravartanamātrasiddheḥ kutaśca sargapralayasiddhiḥ ? viśvasantatiratyantamucchidyate, santatitvāt, pradīpasantativat / viśvasantānoyaṃ dṛśyasantānahīnaiḥ samavāyibhirārabdhaḥ, santānatvāt, āraṇeyāgnisantānavat / vartamānabrahmāṇḍaparamāṇavaḥ pūrvamutpāditasajātīyasantānāntarāḥ, nityatve sati tadārambhakatvāt, pradīpaparamāṇuvat /

nyā. pa. śa. 31 vidhyadhīnapravṛttyuttambhakavākyaviśeṣo hyarthavādaḥ / so 'pi pratyakṣādyaviruddhe svārthe pramāṇam, svataḥ prāmāṇyasyānapāyāt / yatra virodhadhīḥ, tatrāpyaviruddhārthopacāreṇa tatprāmāṇyam / sa ca kvācid vidhyekavākyatayā pramāṇībhavatītyarthavādādhikaraṇādiṣu sthāpitam / svataḥ prayojanabhūtārthaviśeṣaviṣayastu svatantratayāpi prāmāṇyaṃ prāpnotīti samanvayasūtrasiddham / tatprāptyabhilāṣe tu tadupāyavākyapravṛttiḥ / sa caturdhā---nindāpraśaṃsāparakṛtipurākalpabhedāt /

nyā. pa. śa 35 atra pitā te sukhamāsta iti vākyasya sthāne apavarake daṇḍaḥ sthitaḥ ityudāharaṇāntaramātramanyatroktam / ataḥ siddhāsiddhepyādyavyutpattiḥ / bhavatu vā prathamavyutpattiḥ kārya eva, tathāpi prayogānvayavyatirekavaśādeva śabdaśaktirvivecanīyā / prayujyante ca siddhaparā evāvivakṣitakartavyaiḥ śabdāḥ; yathā--- kosau rājā ? kauravaḥ / kautukamātrādeva hyatra praśnaḥ, prativacanaṃ ca tadanuvidhāyyeva / ato yathā padānāṃ prātisvikī śaktiḥ siddhe kāryepīti yathāsaṃbhavaṃ niṣkṛṣyate, tathā tātparyamapi, yathāyogameva vyutpattyupāyatvepi ca kāryasya sarvaśabdatātparyaviṣayatvāyukteḥ / kāryavākyepi pravartakatvādilakṣaṇaṃ ca prādhānyamapūrvasya mṛgyam, sukhaduḥkhābhāvābhyāmatiriktasya svataḥ svasmin pravartakatvāyogāt, vyutpattidaśāyāmapyasukharūpasyānayanāderanyaśeṣatayaiva pravṛttiśeṣatvāvagamāt / ataḥ sukhe duḥkhanivṛttau vā sākṣāt kāryatvabodhaḥ; tadarthatayā tatsādhane /
iti, tadapi jaiminihṛdayānabhijñatānibandhanam; na hi svataḥ pramāṇāmnāyasmṛtipurāṇādisiddhāḥ sādhakabādhakapramāṇāgocarāḥ devatāvigrahādayo hātuṃ yuktāḥ / na cāyogyeṣvanupalambhamātreṇa bādhaḥ śaṅakyaḥ, atiprasaṅgitvāt, sākṣāllokāyatikavādaprasaṅgāt / stutyā vidhiśeṣabhūteṣvapyarthavādeṣu tadarthatayaiva svārthamabhidadhāneṣu na vākyabhedādidoṣaḥ /

nyā. pa. śa. 38 śrīgītābhāṣye caitad vyañjitam--- 'yudhyasva' ityatra 'yuddhākhyaṃ karmārabhasva' iti vyākhyānāt / vyākaraṇāt karaṇatayā ca dhātvarthasyānvaye kathaṃ kriyāviśeṣaṇasya karmavibhaktyantatā ? na hi viśeṣyeṇa viśeṣaṇaṃ bhāvayedityanveti, phalasyāpūrvasya vā bhavadbhirbhāvyatvābhyupagamāt; vartamānavyapadeśādiṣu ca sādhyāntarābhāvepi na viśeṣaṇamātraṃ sādhyam, na ca prathamāntaṃ kiyāviśeṣaṇam; karaṇapakṣepi dhātvarthenānanvayaprasaṅgāt, ananvitaviśeṣaṇatādyanupapatteḥ / na cākarmavibhaktyantena dhātunā karmavibhaktyantasya kathaṃ sāmānādhikaraṇyamiti vācyam, karaṇavibhaktyantenāpyasāmānādhikaraṇyaprasaṅgāt, na ca prapavatīyamāne karmatvenānvaye kaściddoṣo dṛśyate, priyaṅgukāmaḥ kṛṣiṃ kuryāditivat svargakāmo yāgaṃ kuryāditi vākyārthepi virodhābhāvāt, tadvadevārthatastasya tadupāyatvasiddheḥ keneti karaṇākāṅkṣāyā api śamanāt / nāmadheyagatatṛtīyānvayopi nāvaśyaṃ sāmānādhikaraṇyena, tattannāmakaiḥ karmaviśeṣaiḥ devatāpūjāṃ kuryādityevaṃparatvepi svarasānvayāt, sāmānyaviśeṣarūpeṇa vyadhikaraṇanirdeśopapatteḥ / cāṭuvādena rājānaṃ prīṇayeditivād yāgaṃ kuruṣvetyādau na kṛñarthasyāpi sādhyatvaprasaṅgaḥ, tasyaiva kartṛvyāpārarūpatve tatsādhyatvāyogāt, prakṛtipratyayoranyatarasya kṛtāvudāsīnatvāt, ekaḥ, dvau, bahavaḥ, ityādivat / tatrāpi yadā karmatāṃ vivakṣati, tadāpi kartṛvyāpārāntaramabhipretya vā, bhedopacāreṇa vā nirvāhaḥ; yathā---udakāharaṇakriyāṃ karotītyādau / na ca tāvatānavasthā, pratītyanāroheṇa vyavahārasya paryavasitatvāt / agnihotraṃ juhotītyādiprayogaścāsmatpakṣānukūlaḥ / ataḥ, kiṃ, kena, kathamiti bhavatproktavat, kimarthaṃ, kiṃ, kena, kathamityākāṅkṣācatuṣṭaye svargādinā kimarthamityākāṅkṣāpūraṇam, devatāṃ prīṇayediti kimityākāṅkṣānaśāntiḥ, jyotiṣṭomenetyādināmadheyādibhiḥ kenetyākāṅkṣā pūryate, kathamityākāṅkṣāpūraṇaṃ tu bhavatāmasmākaṃ ca tulyameveti śābdoyaṃ panthāḥ / atastattadadhikāriṇaḥ svasādhyadhātvarthaviśiṣṭatābodhini yajetetyādau tattaddhātvarthānuṣṭhāne phalam ananuṣṭhāne pratyavāyaśca sarvapraśāsituḥ saṅkalpād bhavatītyapi vākyādavagatam /

nyā. pa. śa. 41 evaṃ śrutistāvadīśvarājñā, tadanuvidhānāt smṛtirapi / brāhmaṇamantrārthavādamayā hyanantā vedāḥ saṅkīrṇā vikīrṇāḥ kvacit kadācidutsannāśca / tatra kṛtsnavedino manvādayastattaddeśakālaviśeṣeṣvakṛtsnavedināṃ tattvānuṣṭhānaviplavapraśamanāya svānubhūtān vedārthān yathāvannibadhnanti; atastanmūlonādivācāmarthanirṇayaḥ / śrutismṛtivirodhe tu smṛtyā mūlāntarānumānādanuṣṭhānavikalpaṃ kecidāhuḥ / sarveṣāṃ guṇatrayavatāmāptatamatvepi kvācitkabhramasaṃbhavācchrutyā smṛtibādhaḥ, ityapare / tattvaviṣanaye tu virodhe bādha eva, ānyaparyaṃvā, vastuni vikalpāsaṃbhavāt / smṛtidvayavirodhe tu parigrahatāratamyādibhirvyavasthā / na ca kvacit smṛtīnāmaprāmāṇye sarvatrānāśvāsaḥ, bādhakādarśanāt, kāraṇadoṣakḷpteśca niyataliṅgābhāvāt, saṃvādabhūyastvādibhiḥ parigrahānyathānupapattyā ca śrutereva mūlatvakalpanopapatteḥ; anyathā pauruṣeyavākyasya sarvasyāprāmāṇyaprasaṅge vilīnamāgamena / na caitannāniṣṭamiti vaktuṃ śakyam, pitrādyāptavākyaṃ pramāṇīkṛtya cāvārkasya pravṛttidarśanāt / na ca kvācitkasaṃvādamātreṇa bāhyāgameṣvapi visrambhāvakāśaḥ, pratyakṣaśrutivirodhabhūyastvena vaidikaparigrahābhāvena vedabāhyatvaprasiddhyā vedapratikṣepācca vedākhyamūlakalpanasyāśakyatvāt / na cālaukikaṃ pratyakṣādimūlatvasaṃbhavaḥ /
nyā. pa. śa. 42 yānipunaḥ sāṃkhyayogapāśupatapañcarātrāṇi, tānyapi dharmaśāstrabhedā eva;pariśuddhātmacintanarūpajñānayogapradarśanādhikṛtaṃ śāstraṃ sāṃkhyam; samādhiparyantakarmayoganiṣṭhaṃ śāstraṃ yogaḥ; pratibuddhetaraviṣayapaśupatibhajanapratipādakaṃ pāśupatam; pratibuddhaviṣayabhagavadananyabhajanopadeśapravṛttaṃ tu śāstraṃ pañcarātram / etāni ca kvacit kvacidaṃśe parasparopajīvīni /
ato yat sāṃkhyar iśvarānadhiṣṭhitapradhānādipratipādanam, yacceśvaramabhyupagamya kevalanimittakāraṇatvapratiphalanakalpaiśvaryavarṇanaṃ yoge, yacca pāśupate parāvaratattvavyatyayavedaviruddhācārādikalpanam, tat sarvaṃ vyapohya śiṣṭe ḥṃśe prāmāṇyaṃ grāhyam / na caitat tuṣataṇḍulavibhāgavadalpajñaiḥ śakyam / ato hi śārīrake trayāṇāṃ nirāsaḥ /

nyā. pa. śa. 44 tata eva caiṣāṃ viprakīrṇaśākhāmūlatvaṃ siddhāntaḥ, ityapi sūcitam / kvacit kadācit keṣāñcicchākhāviśeṣāṇāmucchedaḥ; te ca punarvyāsādibhiḥ kvacit kadācit pravartyante, ityetāvatā ucchinnaśākhāmūlatvamastu / uktaṃ ca bhagavatā āpastambena--- "teṣāmutsannāḥ pāṭhāḥ prayogādanumīyante" iti / manvādivacanaprāmāṇyaṃ nyāyamantareṇāpi śrutyaiva siddham--- "yadvai kiñca manuravadat tadbheṣajam" ityādibhiḥ / evaṃ śiṣṭācārasyāpi--- "yathā te tatra varteran, tathā tratra vartarthoḥ" "yānyasmākaṃ sucaritāni, tāni tvayopāsyāni" ityādibhiḥ /

nyā. pa. śa. 45 caturvidhaṃ cedaṃ pañcarātram--- āgamasiddhāntaḥ, divyasiddhāntaḥ, tantrasiddhāntaḥ, tatrāntarasiddhāntaśceti / caturvidhaṃ cedaṃ vedamūlabhūtāṃśasya upabṛṃhaṇam; tadabhiprāyeṇa hyuktaṃ mahābhārate--- "mahato vedavṛkṣasya mūlabhūto mahānayam / " ityādi / caturṇāṃ caiṣāṃ lakṣaṇādikaṃ śrīpauṣkarādiṣu bhagavataiva darśitam /
ityādinā śaunakādibhirapi tathaiva vidhānāt, vaṃśaparamparayā ca vaikhānasairadhīyamānatayā viplavasyāpyanavakāśatvāt / astu kimapi tat, idaṃ taditi kiṃ niyākamamiti cet, itarānupalamaḥ tadupalambhaśca, anyathā sarvatra śrutismṛtyādīnāṃ tathā tathā saṃśayaprasaṅgāt / astvidameva tat, pramāṇaṃ ca, tathāpi bhārgavādicatuṣkasya kathaṃ prāmāṇyam ? iti cenna, uktottaratvāt, maharṣipraṇītatvavedāviruddhatvādeḥ samatvāt /

nyā. pa. śa. 48 evaṃ viṃśatilakṣaṇīśravaṇamananābhyāṃ supratiṣṭhitasamastaśāstrārthasya mokṣasādhanatayā vidheyaṃ nididhyāsanaṃ na vākyārthajñānamātram, tasya rāgaprāptaśravaṇādisiddhatvāt / ata eva ca tasmin viśeṣe vedanādisāmānyaśabdaparyavasānam / na ca nididhyāsanādikaṃ niṣiddham, varaṇīyatvameva vihitamiti vācyam; svatantrānyakartṛkavaraṇakarmībhāvasyāpuruṣatantretvenāvidheyatvāt / atastaddhetunā prītirūpatvena upāsanameva viśiṣyate;tathā sati "bhaktyā tvananyayā" iti smṛtyavirodhaśca / tadeva ca nididhyāsanaṃ prītirūpaṃ prakaraṇaviśeṣāt samādhiḥ / ca cāṣṭāṅgaḥ śāstreṣu śiṣyate /
iti, tat kośatyāgābhiprāyam; na ca sādarapaṭusaṃskārapracayasaṃsiddhamedhāsaṃpadaḥ puruṣasya kośena kiñcit sāddhyam / medhāvīti ca viśeṣvate / "dhīrdhāraṇāvatī medhā" iti ca naighaṇṭukāḥ /

nyā. pa. śa. 50 yattu bhāṣye sanmātragrāhipratyakṣanirākaraṇadaśāyāmuktam-- "aśve hastini ca saṃvedanayorekaviṣayatvenoparitanasya gṛhītagrāhitvād viśeṣābhāvācca smṛtivailakṣaṇyaṃ na syāt" iti, na tatra smṛteraprāmāṇyaṃ sūcitam, prakārāntareṇāpi vailakṣaṇyasiddheḥ, tadapekṣayā ca prasaṅgopapatteḥ / yaccāparaṃ bhāṣyam--- "indriyajanmanaḥ pratyakṣasya hyeṣa svabhāvaniyamaḥ, yat svasamakālavartinaḥ padārthasya grāhakatvam, na tu sarveṣāṃ jñānānāṃ pramāṇānāṃ ca, smaraṇānumānāgamayogipratyakṣādiṣu kālāntaravartinopi grahaṇadarśanāt" ityādi, tatrāpi parasyāniṣṭaprasaṅgāya tadabhiprāyānudhāvanena vibhajyodāharaṇaṃ yuktam /

iti / dīpe ca 'anusmṛteśca' iti sūtre bhāṣitam- "pratyabhijñānācca na paṭādeḥ kṣaṇikatvam; tadevedamiti pratyabhijñāyate; pratyabhijñā hi nāmātītavartamānakālavartyekavastuviṣayamekaṃ pratyakṣajñānam / tasya kāladvayasambandhāviśiṣṭamekameva vastu viṣayaḥ / na ca tadityaṃśaḥ smaraṇam, idamaṃśaśca grahaṇam, atītasambandhinīndriyasaṃprayogābhāvāt iti vācyam, tadidamiti sāmānādhikaraṇyena grahaṇasyaikatvasphuraṇāt / pūrvānubhavajanitasaṃskārasacivendriyasaṃprayogayuktasya puruṣasya tathā grahaṇamupapadyata eva; anvayavyatirekādhīnaṃ hi sarvatra sāmagrīparikalpanam" iti / anye tu atra dhībhedabāddhyaparihārau matvā tadidamaṃśayostadaṃśe saṃskārānvayavyatirekānuvidhānadarśanāt parokṣarūpatayā idamaṃśe ca patyakṣarūpatayā cobhayātmakatvamāhuḥ / tanmate saṃskārādhīnaprakāśā smṛtiriti lakṣaṇam, aparokṣajñānaṃ pratyakṣam, ubhayalakṣaṇayogāt pratyabhijñāyāmubhayātmakatvam, iti / abhyupagantavyaṃ cāsmatsiddhāntibhiḥ sarvaiḥ pratyakṣetarajñānānāṃ parokṣāparokṣarūpatvam, svayaṃprakāśatvāt, sarvajñānānāṃ vedyetarāṃśāpekṣayā ca pratyakṣatvāt /
nyā. pa. śa. 53 pratisandhānamapyātmagocaraṃ pratyabhijñāviśeṣa eva; yohamadrākṣaṃ sa eva spṛśāmi, ityevamādirūpatvāt / pratisandhirarthadvayaviṣayaikabuddhirityeke / tatrāpi pṛthaganubhūtānekārthagocaraikakartṛkaikabuddhiriti pūraṇīyam, iti / saṃvādo nāma jñānajātyantaram, iti kecit; tadayuktam, saṃkhyāntarāsaṃbhavāt / yattu varadaviṣṇumiśrairuktam--- "gṛhītārthaviṣayaṃ śabdakāraṇakaṃ jñānaṃ saṃvādaḥ" iti, tadapi śābdāvāntarabhede saṃjñāviśeṣaniveśamātraparam;"na hi gṛhītārthaviṣayatve śabdaśaktiprasūtatvamapaiti; gṛhītamātragocarapramāṇāntarepi tadanyatvaprasaṅgāt; bhavati hi parvatoyamagnimāniti śabdaśravaṇānantaraṃ dhūmaṃ parāmṛśatopi tādṛśī buddhiḥ /
nyā. pa. śa. 54 upamānamapi yadi gṛhyamāṇapadārthagatasādṛśyavijñānāt smaryamāṇapadārthagatasādṛśyavijñānam, tadā smṛtiḥ, tattadvastusaṃsthānaviśeṣādyatiriktasya sādṛśyasyābhāvāt, tasya ca pūrvadṛṣṭatvāt, smaryamāṇatvācca / vyavahāropyastvapūrvaḥ tattadvyavahāravat pratisambandhaviśeṣaparāmarśopādhikaḥ / yadvā yo yatsadṛśaḥ, sa tadgatasādṛśyapratiyogī; yathā---mithaḥ svahastau, iti vyāptisiddhau gauretatsadṛśaḥ, etadgatasādṛśyapratiyogitvāt, ityanumānāt smaryamāṇagatasādṛśyāsiddhiḥ; anyathā gṛhyamāṇagatavaisādṛśyajñānāt smaryamāṇagatavaisādṛśyapratītirapi mānāntaraṃ syāt / sā cet arthāpattiḥ, sādṛśyadhīrapi tathā kiṃ na syāt ? iti / athavā yugapadeva tatsadṛśoyamiti pratyayenaivobhayavṛttisādṛśyasphuraṇānna taddhetukam, anyathā pṛthaganubhūtayostadānīmapratītasādṛśyayoḥ parastādyugapat smaryamāṇayoryugapadeva pratīyamānasādṛyayoḥko nirvāhaḥ ?, tatrāpi vā pramāṇāntaraṃ kalpyate ? / yathā gauḥ tathā gavayaḥ, govad dviśapho na bhavatyaśvaḥ, dīrghagrīvaḥ pralamboṣṭho vikaṭākṛtiḥ paśuḥ kramelakaḥ, iti tu sādharmyavaidharmyadharmyamātraviṣayam /

nyā. pa. śa. 55 yattu āgamaprāmāṇye "anubhavaścendriyaliṅgaśabdasadṛśānyathānupapadyamānārthapūrvakaḥ" ityādiṣu upamānārthāpattiparigrahaḥ pratibhāti, tadapi pūrvapakṣapradeśagatatvānna siddhāntatvāya kalpate / abhāvastvasmanmate bhāvāntarātmā / sa cākṣādibhiryathāsaṃbhavaṃ sidhyati / abhāvātmanā tu grahaṇepi pratiyogismaraṇādisahakārisahitāni tānyeva pramāṇanīti na tadatiriktakalpanāvakāśaḥ / ata eva hi prāgartajābhāvādivijñānamapi nirvyūḍham; dṛṣṭa eva hi deśakālādisaṃsargādiviśeṣaḥ paścāt pratiyogismaraṇādimataḥ puruṣasya tadabhāvātmanā dhiyamadhirohati, smartavyasya smaraṇābhāvādvā; tatra tadabhāvānumānam / evamatiriktābhāvapakṣepi nirmūlā pramāṇāntarakḷptiḥ; saghaṭaṃ bhūtalamitivat aghaṭaṃ bhūtalamityapi hyaparokṣā pratītiḥ; na cādhikaraṇagrahaṇopakṣīṇamindriyam, guṇādiṣvapi prasaṅgāt; atirekavadanatirekepyajñātakaraṇatvādīnyanumānāni ca sulabhānīti / saṃbhavopyanumānameva, sahasre śataṃ saṃbhavati ityādeḥ pūrvānubhūsahasragatavyāptibodhanatvāt, saṃbhavati kṣatriye śairyamityādeḥ saṃdehātmakatvenāpramāṇatvāt / avirodhaniścayarūpatvepi tadavirodhaniścāyakapramāṇāntare viśramaḥ /
dṛśyatenādirāmnāyosmaryamāṇapraṇetṛkaḥ / " ityādi / tattvaratnākare tvevamuktam--- "vyutpannabodhyabodhakaniyamaṃ cet ceṣṭitaṃ śābdam / aniyatamapi sahadṛṣṭyā smārakamiti na pṛthageṣṭavyam iti / lipyakṣareṣu tu ayaṃ gakāraḥ ayaṃ ghakāraḥ iti varṇātmanā jñānamapramāṇameva / etena cihnenedamakṣaraṃ jānīhītyabhiprāyeṇalipyakṣarasaṃbandhagrāhakāṇāṃ pravṛttiḥ /

/ viśeṣatvaṃ nāma jātirnāstīti cet, kiṃ tat ? / upādhiriticet, kiṃ tato na saṃgrahaḥ?, tathā sati kvacidapi tannibandhanānuvṛttadhībhaṅgaprasaṅgāt / evamanyonyābhāvenāpi gatārthatā dustareti parāstaḥ parābhimataviśeṣaḥ / sāmānyamapi paroktaṃ sūtrakāraireva nirastaprāyam; tathāhi--- "tadananyatvamārambhaṇaśabdādibhyaḥ---" ityādibhiḥ sūtraiḥ kāryadaśāyāmupādānasyāvasthāntarāpattimātrameva, na punaḥ parābhimatamavayavyākhyaṃ dravyamastīti samarthanād ghaṭādyavayavyabhāve tadāśritaghaṭatvādisāmānyamavayavisamavetatayābhyupagataguṇādayastadubhayārambhaprakriyājālaṃ ca nirmūlitam / yaccopādānasya ghaṭatvādirūpamavasthāntaraṃ saṃyogaviśeṣādirūpaṃ, tat parairapi kāryatayābhyupetamupalambhādibhiśca tathaiva sidhyatīti na tatrāpi nityatvakalpanāvakāśaḥ / tataḥ sarveṣāṃ dravyāṇāṃ svarūpatonādyanantatvāt kāryadravyatvātmatvādimātrameva śiṣyate / guṇeṣu nityeṣvavasthārūpeṣu cānuvṛttapratyayanimittaṃ kimiti cintyam; tatraivaṃ bhāṣitaṃ śārīrakādye--- "saṃsthānātirekiṇonekeṣvekākārabuddhibodhyasyādarśanāt, tāvataiva gotvādijātivyavahāropapatteḥ, atirekavādepi saṃsthānasya saṃpratipannatvācca saṃsthānameva jāti / saṃsthānaṃ nāma svāsādhāraṇaṃ rūpamiti yathāvastu saṃsthānamanusaṃdheyam" iti / etaduktaṃ bhavati--- kiṃ saṃsthānātiriktaṃ sāmānyaṃ viviktasphuṭapratyakṣādhyavasāyabhedādaṅgīkriyate, utopapattibalāditi; nādyaḥ, asiddheḥ nāntyaḥ, anyathāsiddheḥ; atiriktasāmānyamabhyupagacchatopi hi tadupalakṣaṇaṃ saṃsthānamiṣṭaṃ dṛṣṭaṃ ca / prativyaktiniyataṃ saṃsthānaṃ kathamanuvṛttapratyayakāraṇamiti cet, kathaṃ vā tajjātīyasya lakṣaṇaṃ bhavati ? / anuvṛttajātyantarasaṃgṛhītopādhirūpatayeti cet, tāvataiva gavādivyavahārasiddhau kimanyena ? / tathāpyantatonuvṛttaṃ sāmānyaṃ kvacidabhyupagantavyam, yatrānanyathāsiddhiḥ; anyathopādhisaṃgrahasyāpyasaṃbhavāditi cet, tavāpi vā tatra sāmānyamupalakṣaṇena saṃgṛhyate, na vā ? nyā. pa. prame. 2 anye tu manyante---yathā tatpratīteranyathāsiddhatayā te padārthā bhāṣyakārādibhirnirasyante, tathā karmāpi, iti, ye tāvadiha sarvatra sūryaparispandādivadapratyakṣaṃ karma phalānumeyamicchanti / tatra yayā sāmagryā karmaṇaḥ siddhirabhimatā tayaiva dṛṣṭaṃ karmaphalaṃ sādhyatām, kimantarā kalpitena karmaṇā ? / tathāpi cet kḷptiḥ, anyatrāpi kālaviprakarṣādarśanepi sāmagrīkāryayormadhye anyasya kḷptiprasaṅgaḥ; tathaiva ca tratrāpītyanavasthā syāt / ye ca "pratyakṣaṃ karma" ityāhuḥ, tairapi nūnaṃ karmaphalatvenābhyupagamasaṃyogavibhāgātiriktaṃ nipuṇanirīkṣaṇepi nopalabhyata iti manyāmahe / calatipratyayopi hi tāvataiva caritārthaḥ / na ca vācyaṃ yāvatsaṃyogaṃ calatipratyayaprasaṅga iti, pūrvadeśavibhāgapūrvakadeśāntarasaṃyogaprathamakṣaṇaviṣayatvāt tatpratyayasya / tata eva hyuttarakāle saṃyoge vartamānepyacaladiti bhūtānusaṃdhānamupapannam / nanu pravāhamadhyasthite sthāṇau pūrvasalilaskandhaviyogaḥ uttarasalilaskandhayogaśca dṛśyate, na ca tatra calatvamicchāmaḥ; vyomādaya eva sthiradeśatvena vivakṣitāḥ iti cenna, pravāhasya tato viśeṣādarśanāt; laulyam viśeṣaḥ iti cet, tarhi saṃyogavibhāgātiriktaṃ laulyarūpaṃ karmapratyakṣamiti kathaṃ tadapahnavaḥ ? iti / tatrāhuḥ---yā nāma karmasāmagrī tvayeṣyate sā tattatkarmaphalatayābhimataṃ saṃyogaviśeṣamutpādayantī niyatasvabhāvameva tamutpādayati / ata eva eva saṃyogonekaniṣṭhopi san kvaciccalatipratyaṃyaṃ kvacit saṃyogamātrapratyayaṃ ca janayati, yathaika eva samavāyoguṇaguṇibhyāmaviśeṣeṇa svato militopi san kvacidāśrayapratyayaṃ kvacidāśritapratyayaṃ ca janayati, na hyāśrayabhāva āśritabhāvo vā samavāyasvarūpātiriktaḥ, tadvadihāpīti / vayaṃ tu brūmaḥ--- apratyakṣakarmavādastāvat prāguktadūṣaṇādayuktaḥ /
nyā. pa. prame. 4 yadyapi "indriyasyendriyasyārthe" ityādigītāślokeṣu bhāṣyakārairvāsanāyā icchādvāreṇaiva pravṛttihetutvavacanājjñānavāsanāviśeṣātiriktā karmavāsanā nāsti, tathāpi jñānavāsanā durapahnavā, tataśca tadāśrayamātraṃ vicāryam, tatra dharmabhūtajñānasya dravyatvaṃnyāyatattvātmasiddhibhāśyādisiddhamanusaratāṃ tanniṣṭhasmṛtyākhyavikārotpādakaḥ saṃskāro 'pi tanniṣṭhaḥ prāptaḥ; antaraṅgatvādabādhācca //

iti / evaṃ dharmabhūtajñānākhyamapi dravyamajaḍatvāviśeṣepi spuṭataravaidharmyānatarabalāt pṛthaggaṇayanti / tasyādravyatvavādaḥ keṣāñcinnāthamuniyāmunamunibhāṣyakārādiprabandhavirodhāt prāyaḥ paracittarañjanārthaḥ / śuddhasattvākhyasya ca dravyāntarasya paravigrahādiyāthārthyopadeśapravṛttaniruktādyāptāgamasiddhatvāt sūkṣmatriguṇāvasthāviśeṣādipakṣā bahiṣkāryāḥ / ataḥ ṣaḍetāni dravyāṇi / bhoktṛbhogyaniyantṝṇāṃ sadātmanaikadravyatvādipakṣā api nirviśeṣasanmātrapakṣavad vyāghātaśrutivirodhādibhirbahuśo bhāṣyādiṣu nirastāḥ / tatra triguṇaśuddhasattve svaniruktyaiva lakṣye / kṣaṇalavādyātmā kālaḥ / aṇurjñātā jīvaḥ /

nyā. pa. prame. 9 atra yadyapi pramāviṣayaḥ prameyamiti vyutpattyā āropitākāravyavacchedārthayā anāropitarūpaṃ sarvaṃ prameyam, tathāpi niḥśreyasāntaraṅgatayā tadarthibhiḥ prakarṣeṇa meyaṃ prameyamiha vivakṣim / yadviṣayeṇa bhrameṇa saṃsarāmaḥ, yadviṣayeṇa ca tattvajñānenāpavarjyemahi, tadiha naḥ prakarṣeṇa meyaṃ prameyam / tacca dvādaśavidhamuktamākṣapāde--- "ātmaśarīrendriyārthabuddhimanaḥ pravṛttidoṣapretyabhāvaphaladuḥkhāpavargāḥ prameyam" iti / tatra cetana ātmā / sa dvidhār---iśvaronīśvara iti / jagatkartār iśvaraḥ / jagadvyāpārarahitaścetanonīśvaraḥ / yaccaitanyasamānādhikaraṇaṃ yadapṛthaksiddhaṃ yaddravyaṃ, tat tasya śarīram / tad dvividham---karmajam, akarmajaṃ ceti / ādyamasmadādīnām / dvitīyamīśvarādīnām / sāttvikāhaṅkāropādānakaṃ dravyamindriyam / tadekādaśavidham---pañca jñānendriyāṇi, pañcakarmenidrayāṇi manaśceti / indriyagocarā ihārthāḥ / te ca śabdādayo guṇāḥ tadviśiṣṭāni ca / arthaprakāśo buddhiḥ / smṛtyādikaraṇamindriyaṃ manaḥ / manovākkāyānāṃ puṇyāpuṇyarūpo vyāpāra iha pravṛttiḥ / tathāvidhapravṛttihetavo doṣāḥ / te ca saṃgrahādrāgadveṣamohāḥ / pūrvadehaṃ vihāyottaradehaprāptiḥ pretyabhāvaḥ / pravṛttisādhyaṃ phalam; tadeva puruṣeṇa pravṛttiphalatayoddiṣṭaṃ prayojanam / pratikūlavedanīyaṃ duḥkham / tatra sukhatatsādhanādikamapi viṣasaṃpṛktamadhuvat prabhūtānarthānuṣaṅgitvād duḥkhameva mumukṣuṇā bhāvyamiti tasyāpi pratikūlavedanīyatvam / duḥkhāntarakāraṇāsamānādhikaraṇā duḥkhanivṛttirapavargaḥ / sa ca svābhāvikātmasvarūpāvirbhāvapūrvakasamastavibhūtiguṇaviśiṣṭaniratiśayānandabrahmānubhavagarbhaḥ iti paramapuruṣārthaḥ / tatpūrvako vā tādṛśabrahmānubhavopavargaḥ iti / etadeva ca prameyaṃ saṃgrahāccaturdhā vibhajya kecidanusaṃdadhate--- 'heyam, tasya nivartakam, hānam, tasyopāyaḥ' iti / ye tu kaṇacaraṇādayaḥ ṣaṭsaptādirūpeṇa sarvān padārthān vibhajya parīkṣante, te sāmānyaviśeṣasamavāyādīnāṃ padārthāntaratvapratikṣepeṇa nirastāḥ / tataśca dravyaguṇakarmāṇi trīṇyevāvaśiṣyante / tatrāpi karmaṇaḥ saṃpratipannaguṇātiriktatvapakṣepi saṃskārādiguṇāvāntaraviśeṣavad guṇapakṣakakṣīkārāt dvau padārthau / tatra ca guṇaśabdasyāpṛthaksiddhaviśeṣaṇamātravyutpannasya tathāvidheṣu keṣucid dravyeṣvapi vṛtterdravyaguṇarūpeṇa vibhāgānaucityād dravyamadravyamityeva padārthavibhāgamādriyāmaher, idṛśasya tu vicārasyāpavarge paraṃparayopayogaḥ / mumukṣūṇāṃ pradhānatamaṃ tu prameyaṃ viśiṣṭaṃ brahmaikameveti manvāno bhagavān bādarāyaṇaḥ--- "athāto brahmajijñāsā" ityupakramya tadeva saprakāraṃ nirūpitavān; tatprakāratayaivānyat prameyam / kecittu dehātmavivekakramānusāreṇa "bhoktā bhogyaṃ preritāraṃ ca matvā" iti śrutiprakriyayā ca tridhā tattvaṃ vibhajya cintayanti, tatrāpi saprakāradravyacintanādadravyacintāpyantarbhavati / tattulyanyāyatayā kālacintā ca /
nyā. pa. prame. 10 athāyamaparaḥ pravṛttyarthaḥ saṃgrahonuṣṭhānaparihārāntaraṅgaḥ; tathāhi--- hitamahitaṃ ca prakarṣeṇa meyam / tatra laukikahitāhitayoranvayavyatirekāyurvedanītiśāstrādikaṃ pramāṇam; tadapi yogasādhanabhūtaśarīrarakṣaṇārthaṃ mumukṣuṇāpi śrutismṛtyādyavirodhenānusaraṇīyam / alaukikahitāhitayostu vedāḥ pramāṇam / tadupabṛṃhaṇatayā smṛtītihāsapurāṇāni ca / yacca śrutivihitam, tadakhilamapi yathādhikāraṃ hitam / yacca tanniṣiddham, tadakhilamapyahitam / nanvabhicārādikarmaṇāmanarthahetūnāṃ kṣudrapuruṣārthasādhanānāṃ ca kāmyānāṃ karmaṇāṃ kathaṃ hitatvam ?; ucyate---adhikāriviśeṣamapekṣya hi sarvo vidhirniṣedhaśca; yathoktam--- "traiguṇyaviṣayā vedāḥ" iti / yo hi sukhaṃ duḥkhanivṛttiṃ cecchati tasya tatsādhanamapekṣamāṇasya laukikeṣu sādhaneṣu pravṛttasya teṣāṃ nirayādihetubhūtānarthahetutvena tatparihārāyānarthahetutvarahitāḥ sukhādyupāyāḥ pratipādyante / evaṃ kāmyakarmāṇi pāralaukikāni dṛṣṭajātīyatadadhikaphalārthatayā dṛṣṭānarthāvahasukhapravṛttipratibandhaupayikatvād hitānyeva rāgiṇām / tathā aihalaukikānyapi citrādīni / kārīryādīni tu jagaddhitānyapi / abhicārakarmaṇopi hiṃsādiyuktasyāpi svarūpato nānarthahetutvam,tadaṅgapaśuhiṃsāderagnīṣomīyādivadvidhiprāptatvāt, api tu svasādhyenāprāptaviṣayavadhādinā / tadapekṣayā cābhicāro niṣidhyate / sopi hi kvacidavaśyakartavya eva, "ṣaṭsvanabhicaran patet" ityādidarśanāt / ataśca mumukṣorapi rakṣakakṣatriyādyabhāve rākṣasādyabhibhave cātmarakṣaṇārthamabhicāraḥ kartavya eva, "sarvata evātmānaṃ gopāyet" iti śāstrāt, anyathā aharaharanuṣṭheyasyāprayāṇādanuvartanīyasya karmāderucchedaprasaṅgenopāyāniṣpattermokṣāsiddhiprasaṅgāt / vṛṣṭyannādidṛṣṭārthāni ca sarvāṇyupāsananiṣpattyaupayikatayā tattadapekṣāyāmanuṣṭheyāni / pāralaukikāni tu tatphalābhisaṃdhiviraheṇa karmayogānuṣṭhānadaśāyāṃ nityanaimittikairekīkṛtya kartavyāni / naimittikāni hi sarvāṇi prasaktānarthaparihārārthatayā sarvahitānyeva / evaṃ nityāni, uttarakarmādhikārārthatvādakaraṇanimittapratyavāyaparihārārthatvācca / ataḥ śrutivihitaṃ svavarṇāśramocitaṃ sarvaṃ hitameva / ata eva hi smaranti--- "śāstraṃ hi vatsalataraṃ mātāpitṛsahasrataḥ" iti / evaṃ sthite pravāhānādisāmagrīcakravaśādaniyatasamayasamāgatasakalasaiddhāntikasamālambanīyasucar itaparipākanivṛttapratibandhaparamapuruṣakaṭākṣaviśeṣasamunmiṣitasattvasāmarthyena karatalāmalakavadālokitaheyopādeyavibhāgasyānādyanantabahuvidhadurviṣahaduḥkhānuṣaṅgadūṣitālpāsthirasāṃsārikasukhamayaviṣamadhuviraktasya samastaduritavargāpavargāyamāṇanityaniratiśayānandamukundacaraṇāravindasevāmakarandalampaṭasya yathāśakti varṇāśramocitanityanaimittikaniṣiddhaparihārasahakṛtaṃ darśanasamānākāradhruvānusmṛtirūpaṃ bhagavadupāsanaṃ hitatamaṃ vihitam /
iti / tatra cidacidvivekādimātre sāṃkhyamupakurute / yamaniyamādisamādhiparikaraśodhane yogaḥ /
ityādinā pūrvaparvāṇi vidhīyante / yaḥ prītipūrvabhagavadasādhāraṇakarmaṇyapi na samarthaḥ, tasya viṣayarasavaimukhyajananāya samastavaiṣayikasukhaśeṣitvena cirataramanusaṃhitasyāpi svātmanaḥ sāṃsārikasamastasukhasamadhikānandasvarūpamālokayitumāntaracakṣurvirodhitimirapaṭalapāṭanāya jñānakarmayogākhye dve bheṣaje / tatrātmacintanarūpo jñānayogastadālokanentaraṅgabhūtaḥ / tatrāpyasamarthasya tadadhikārasiddhyarthaṃ karmayogaḥ / tena tatra siddhādhikārasyāpi śiṣṭatayā vyapadeśyasyāntargatātmajñānaḥ karmayoga eva kāryaḥ /
